Cam's first grow update: Week 3
Hello everyone! Here are my little ones, 3 weeks old, all topped (except the two that are only a week old). They are growing under 45 and 50 watt (same as blah blah 250 watts!) CFL and 1 15 watt light. I have actually started giving them natural ferts... I'd rather not get into it :D :rolleyes: Okay... anyway. They've been growing in my stealth grow been and I have had a few minor light burning axidents... probably each plant has a burn from the light. I'm sorry! Its my frist grow! I promise to do better next time! Since I've topped the plants, they have had some time to bush out lower in the plant... alot. Lots of sites for buds... which makes me excited! Let me know how you think my plants are coming along. You may see a few of the burns. I'm going to have to multi-post because I have so many pictures lol.
Here is Nettles- this one is believed to be my healthiest... or the best looking one I have in other words.

Here is Barbra Logan-Price. She... is a sad story actually. Alot of her leaves have been axidentaly removed... and she was burned at a young age as well as an adult age... but she is doing well now! Lots of new stuff growing in...
Also included is the grow box.. pretty much a mess from having to rip alot of stuff out, fix lights, move th ings around... I'm working on it guys! But just check it out- its getting the job done for now. I must upgrade to a bigger bin, maybe something like a trach can?

Ya i was thinking about that the other day was going to post that to see what people thought about it (the Trash Can idea) that is well i think it would work would be tall enouhgt get a 55 gallon one with lid might work who knows?

So Harddon what ya think might work i was in my garage the other day look for shit saw the trash can i said hmmmm wander if i bought 1 of those could i use it insted of my rubber maid box that only like 17 in tall lol this thing is like 4 1/2 ft tall and that might work get a square one i saw at walmart hmmmmm i think im going to go and price them let me know what ya think harddon!

Yea those are the ones i was talken about big ass ones could work!
and would be very stealth who would think to look in trash can for pot growing?

You can call it a "hobo-grow" for the trash can idea. I'm not mocking you in anyways, so take no offense.
The only thing using the big trash can, is that it won't leave much space for width, but for height, you'd have plenty o space. You could only grow about 2-3 plants max using one of those. I don't know, it might work :confused:
Cam: Your plants are looking beautiful. They look very healthy and happy. You know they're burned a bit eh? ;) Just kidding. When do you plan to flower those beauties?

someone did a trashcan grow either here or at OG, also a refrigerator...I thought that was cool

they are looking really good cam. just curious, how did you burn them. maybe if you had a fan blowing on them then they wouldn't get burnt. and it would strengthen the stem. they look real good for a first grow.

Haha I do have a fan on them at all times, its attached to the side of the rubber made bin. (on the outside) I burned them because the light would drop a little while I closed the box and it would litteraly be laying on the plant when I open it up the next day.. its sad, but I've been better on double checking.
Thanks guys, I feel proud of my little plants... I feel I'm doing a good job :) Lots of light, watering, fresh air/fan, talking too, building, and what not, it all pays off. I plan on budding probably next week, just because I have nothing left to wait for and I can't have all their branches getting so big that they don't fit! So its almost time.
As for the trashcan idea... it could work perfectly. same idea as the rubbermade, except a trash can... its simple. make a lighting system that you can lower in... make a small cabnit-door on the side for easy plant access, and line the whole inside with tin or myer... what ever it is. You would only get 3 or so plants in there, but they could grow to a larger height... I'm already stuck with only three plants and they have to stay small. I'd rather have 3 large than 3 small. I'll only "win" in this situation.

Ok, thats it. I'm going to try it. I'm going to buy a large trash can and grow a few plants in it. I'll fill the bottom of it with about a fot of soil and have a pully system rigged to the top to raise and lower the lights... hhmm, I'll have to create a thread on this. I would also incourage others to try it to test the theory. Just remind me tomarrow because I'm stoned and probably wouln't remember this tomarrow.
