"Having Sex with Spouse who does NOT....."

(well,not ANYMORE,anyway)puff on weed is the topic of my first post,here.After a 7 year lay-off period,I have found myself,once again,a casual partaker of the herbal kind.I was tryin to see if it took the edge off the PRESCRIBED drugs I gotta take.I take Methadone,Prozac, and Xanax for Chronic Pain and Dexedrine for ADD.I feel like a freakin' can of worms by the time I get home from workin,so's my pal says he takes a few one-hitters when he gets home and it does the trick for him (He has Chronic Pain,also,meds similar to mine).I figured I'd see if it helped me,and it did.The problem came when I told Wifey about it .She did not react like I had thought she might(Her and I started dating as a result of her looking for a bag and askin me)since we smoked for years ,together.She thought it would be un-cool because we have 2 girls,15 and 9,now,and she's afraid they'll find out.I had'nt planned on advertising it or being flagrant about it,I can sneak along with the best of em!Now,she's been actin funny most of the time,not wantin to mess around or nuthin.Anybody been down this road?If so,did you get past it? Thats Good u partake in Herbal Medicine it does work w/ many aliments...It's too bad she feels that way now not wanting to be intimate after your talk,but I wouldnt let that stop me especially if it helped me w/ reducing my other meds...Wishing u the best w/ your situation :)

sit her down and have a good discussion on why this is happening, instead of asking us. im not trying to be rude or anything but ull definatly get better results if you ask her.

yea i went through that....just get this attitidude like "alright fine i don't care i'll be fine by myself" and stick with it for a week or so then she'll be beggin for it...atleast...if it works on her too that is.

I re-read my first post and afterwards realized I left out a bit of info. Wifey has had Migraine Headaches for 9 years.She has tried many things,up until 3 years ago when they dropped my insurance where I worked.I'm self-employed now and we only have insurance on the kids(state-funded),we've not found anything we can afford,so her doc has her on basic,inexpensive treatment.I saw where many folks that suffer from Migraines got great relief from smokin weed so I was hopin she might be willing to give it a try.We ain't had no sex life since she started them headaches.It's been very rough on her and I ,both,but she did not want NO part of the smoke!If it helped those awful headaches,I would not care if it was a dry cow-pie,but I guess she feels different.BTW,I have thought about slippin some in her food,I remember how good things were when we DID SMOKE.It really was.When she quit,she changed.Bigtime.Thanks,JS

what ever you do, do not slip some weed or other drugs into her food...thats all around bad news and bad morals. smooth talk her into taking a few hits from a joint when she starts to feel a migrain commin. if u have to say "just this once time and ill never ask u again" go for it. if it works, u wont have any problem getting her to toke again...well, for a while anyway.

and if it comes down to it...you are married and both capable of making your own decisions, so just tell her: it helps me, if you don't want me doing it...find something that works just as well and i'll drop it (just make sure that no matter what even if it does "work" that it doesn't work lol)

yeah i no many people who say weeds the best thing to happen to there migrains, just try and persuade her to take a few hoots o yeah and y did she quit kids er somthin?

wife & i have been married 10yrs the 10th of aug. she wasn't a smoker when we got married but she had some migraines that developed after an accident she was involved in. they had her on all kinds of shit from immitrex to vicodin & the ol' fashioned herb wom out on all of those meds.( she had injuries to C2 & TMJ).r

Our 9th anniversary is August 10th as well!!!!!

I get nasty headaches as well, and yes, smoking helps big time. Mr. Irie is going through his "phase" of no smoking....for whatever reason. So I get the "shame on you" look when I smoke. I could care less, either. When I smoke, I FEEL better, I SLEEP better, and it helps me unwind. Yeah, I could sit back and throw down some booze...then puke it back up and feel like shit the next day--after all, :rolleyes: that is legal to do. LOL No thanks...I'll stick to weed.

Funny thing about kids,how they can totally change a marraige.Wifey and me had a few years of adventurous,easy-going,love-filled fun,responsible enough to do what we had to before what we wanted to do(BIG difference).After daughter #1,it was like watching a "New Person"taking over Wifey's mind.No more beer,cigarettes,weed,easy times,lovey-dovey times,it ALL went from her life.I pretty much did too,in many ways,which often is the case once Baby arrives.It is the nature of things.I was proud of her for giving so much up like she did. I still smoked a bit,but did give up ALL alchohol(fer GOOD!)and started back into fitness and stuff like that.I'm sure we could start up quite a looong thread about how having children can alter people's life-styles,but ,as some will agree,a little weed in the mix,done discreetly,is fun with kids around.Have you ever sat down and had talks or played games with your children with a nice buzz,it's very cool.I don't condone sittin right in front of em and puffin away(on anything),that's how I feel about it.Smoking is not meant for children so I don't do any around them.It's like takin away their choice by subjecting em to second-hand smoke.On the flip side,I don't want to be made to feel like a criminal or gangster for choosing to smoke in private,as long as it poses no dangers for anyone else.

thats awesome man...if i had kids, it would definatly be fun to do that. when im stoned i can act more like a kid, so they'd probably be more comfortable.

Sometimes it seems like weed helps me get more on me kids level (9,7,4) or remember what it was like when i was a kid. (NEVER infront of the kids) My spouse does not smoke but I do, he never has anything to say about it except "I would rather see you smoke than drink". He does it it everyonce in a while. As far as a medical use; It helps with my migrains and the nerve problems i have in my wrist and my back not to mention my stress level. So if it helps smoke out!

be glad you got that man...i didn't even have 3 months before my wife got pregnant after we were married.....
