all i want to say is that i'm envious of those people who where teenagers or adults in the 60's and 70's. you all got to go see some of the greatest musicians when they were still alive.
i hope you enjoyed it. i'll never be able to see the experience, the doors, or the beatles. not to mention the countless number of other great bands who have had members pass away. woodstock must've been a trip.
I definitely agree with you, I'm 18 and feel like I was born in the wrong generation. I saw a Bob Marley concert on TV from the late 70s and I am ridiculously jealous of the people that actually got to be there.

My first time smoking was to Black Sabbath. I'm a real ozzy fan, love his old stuff, especially SWEET LEAF. That was in 1980. I used to love to het high to the Doors, Led Zeppelin and Ozzy.
Now when I have some real good mellow shit I always put on a classic rock station.
Hell yeah, I saw the Wailers at House of Blues last month and it could've been a million times better with Marley
i caught the end of the 70s but feel the same way about the 50s and 60 s i was only like 6-7 yrs old when they had woodstock ,,but the one i really would have liked to see was watkins glen in 1973 dead/ allmans and i think csn..i would have loved seeing buddy holly and ritchie valens as well ...Quote:

I was 12 in 1970 and managed to see a few great bands before I had to join the rat race and work all day.High point of my life would be partying with the band the night before the Rainbow/Pat Travers show.Ritchie Blackmore was a no show but he had his wife along on tour so that may have has something to do with it.I was working room service at the hotel Rainbow stayed at so I got to server Ritchie his breakfast the next morning not to mention getting my picture taken with the band before they left for the next venue.
Saw Aerosmith before they started writing a bunch of bubble gum sounding pop.And a few old time groups like Motorhead(who still tours can you believe it?)Filthy Lenny rocks man!!!
