high all,
Hope all is well today :)
Here is my fourth grow, currently under way. I have 1 Strawberry Cough, 1 Big Blue going now. It has been one week since I put those beans into germinating.
I will be using 200W of CFL's for vegging, and 225W hps for flowering. I am using basic soil again from wal-mart with added vermiculite. I am growing in a space approx 2.5ft square.
So, day 1 of vegging begins today. I will update once a week, every Monday, right here on this thread if anyone cares to follow my progress. I will inform you at that time of any changes, and when I begin feeding. Hope to see you all soon. Peace and happy growing!

They are about 2inches right now from the top of the tallest seedling. I get any closer at this point I could risk burning the little gals. Thanks.

Luckily I have a fan blowing right over top of my lights and plants. A nice big one too. Keeps things at a nice 22degC. Peace.

Here is what happens in 22 days if you have good floros and lots of white or other good reflection..... :)
My next grow I am preparing to grow 30 plants in 21 days then flower.
If I can get them like this, I figure:
30 plants
20 females
12 grams per
Anyhow, you know what you need to do.
If you;re gonnna do it...do it right now.....
C'mon chowder...get your lazy ass up and finish the room....

Hey i got a quick question on reflective material to use in a grow room. Is it ok to use mirrors? Cuz like, it seems like everyone is looking for the most reflective material possible, and it seems to me like mirrors would reflect everything (maybe thats bad tho). Any answer is appreciated and I'll try to refrain from hijacking your thread in the future! :)

mirrors absorb sun light and artifical light. best bet is to use some mylar, or paint the sides white.

Exactly. Using mirrors is a bad idea. Like he said, use some mylar, or coat the sides of your walls white. You can use tinfoil, but use the dull side of it, not the shiney side. After putting up the mylar last night, I noticed a huge change in light, it was much brighter. So I suggest something white on your walls. Peace.

mine went up last night to replace the reflectix
its a HUGE difference in the amount of light!!
fans lightly blow the mylar and change the light pattern..
imagine using this from the get go would increase more growth!!
settle for nothing else.

I use reflective water heater blankets on the walls.
But for the top and bottom, strictly white....
Ah....who gives a shit what I use?

this whole process is a growing experience for which cost lots o money to get perfect.
$1300 so far for my 1st grow just up to veg.. just need the ferts for flower
when its time for change, give the mylar a shot.. think its a keeper..
TiVo on..

Yea this shit does add up fast doesnt it?
I mean to do it right...certainly.
But it will pay off after a few good harvests...or even a couple of good ones.
But who cares?
It's the bond...the community...the interaction with one another fellow stoners that is important here....right?
:D

That's right! No one else knows of this except you people, I like it that way. I love sharing experiences and seeing what other people can do. It may cost some at first, but once you got it down, you got it. It's fun and has great rewards. Peace and keep on growing!

Update:week 2 of veg.
High all,
Hope all is well today :) ...I am here for an update.
1st picture is Strawberry Cough
2nd picture is Big Blue
3rd picture is side by side shot.
I have used up some left over mylar and now my walls are white. I have noticed a HUGE diff. in reflection immediatly after I put it up. I haven't began feeding yet and won't for another week or two. So ya, not many changes so far but it's all going smoothly and looking alright so far.
I'll update in one weeks time again, on Monday. Feel free to ask any questions. Peace and keep growing!

Just thought I'd snap a few pics of some monster tomatos I have going now. I just picked these and I'm making a sald :D. Keep in mind these are baby tomatos. I think I created a monster of plants because these are humungous baby tomatos, and I'm getting more than I can eat. Peace.

Thanks for the compliments people!
I can tell that SC plant is going to be a monster of a plant. It's like 80% sativa I think, but she is growing so much faster than the BB. They were both started at the same time, so......ya, I don't know. I'm excited though, I can't wait to see the outcome.
That's all for me tonight, goodnight gents.....

UPDATE:Week 3 of veg
High all,
Hope all is well today. I am here to give you an update.
First picture is of the Strawberry Cough. She is growing strong, and fast! Starting to smell of skunk too :( I'll have to look into containing the smell later on down the road, or I might have to donate it :( Which I don't want to do.
Second picture is Big Blue. For now on I will refer to her as "Lady McGibbles". As you can see from the picture, the plant pretty much didn't grow on the one side. So what started happening was she is growing small leaves all in a bunch in the middle. She's all gibbled up, that's how the name came about.
Third picture is side by side shot. The bigger plant is the SC.
I haven't started giving it fert yet and I won't for at least a few more weeks. I plan on transplanting these lovely ladies into their final home in the next few days. I'll give them a week or so to recover from the move, then I will give them their first taste of food...a small does that is.
I went to every garden store in town and it was slim pickins. I couldn't find any bat guano for food, so for now, I bought some of these food sticks(4th picture), that was recommended to me by a friend. I will be ordering bat guano for next time around though. I have dumped the Miracle Grow 8-7-6 and went with the sticks.
Last picture is my soil mixture I chose. Again, bags of soil were hard to find right now, I don't know why, but no one had any of the good stuff. So I'llk be using the PlantSmart leftover soil, and I will add this Vermiculite(5th pic) to lighten her up a bit.
That's all for now. Next time I update they will be in their final home, ready to floursih for a few more weeks or so, then flowering will begin :D. Till then, peace and keep growing! Suggestions, comments welcome.

your plants are looking good. i think and hope the sc and the bb both turn out to be pretty good. and i also hope you won't have to donate the sc. good luck with the transplanting.

OH GOD NO!
DON'T USE THOSE STICKS.
PLEASE DON'T...not on MJ
Don't you have a Home Depot?
Get some Fish Emulsion 5-1-1
Shred and dry some Romaine lettuce and add half part dried crumbled bananna peel.
Lord use anything but those sticks.
I beg of you........

Yup, we got a Home Depot here.
What's wrong with the sticks? I'm just curious because a fellow grower recommended them.

Thanks a lot!
I tansplanted them yesterday night. 1/3 vermiculite, 2/3 soil. The water soaked in very nicely. I checked them this morning and the SC is drooping, BB is standing strong. That is normal, they'll recover in about a weeks time. Then I'll start feeding, but now I'm all confused as to what.
Peace.

DOn't use the sticks no matter what your growing buddy tells you.
The sticks will release nutes very single time you water and first of all that is WAY TOO MUCH ferting.
Secondly, when you over do them, flushingis next to impossible as they just keep on keepingon releasing more nutes.
Thirdly, MJ in a soil grow doesn't need a whole lot of nutes. It simply doesn;t need them asmuch as people think.
Trust me, you can grow nicee without having to worry about nutes so much.
Nutes for MJ need to be delivered in a very weak solution. The sticks do not allow you to control the solution and strength. They are desinged for house plants likes ferns, rubber plants and what nots.
GO get some fish emulsion or schultz cactus ferts from the Home Depot.
Again, as Zandor says the keep is to deliver what the plant needs at the proper time.
Those sticks take that control way from you because of the AUTOMATIC release everytime you water. Not just once a week.

Okay I see now. I guess I never thought of it that way. I assumed it would be easier for me. But that's right. What if I overfed by accident, I couldn't flush the soil because it would just keep releasing more into the soil  Good point.
Thanks for saving me fuck my shit up. I'll def. go to Home Depot or the Canadian Tire and look for some better stuff. Thanks again! peace.

So, I took your advice Hard-on, and I bought some fish emulsion 5-1-1 today at Crappy Tire. Thanks again bud! Peace

Eeeewwww....sounds nasty. What do you mean by "real" fert? I wasn't able to get any guano for this grow, but I will be using the same stuff I used last time. I'll use Shultz products, 10-15-10, then 15-30-15, then I plan on getting a bloom fert, same company, 10-52-10. All chemical this time :( But it's all I can afford at this time.
It won't taste like dirty cunt if I use those after? You think? Thanks.

Update:beginning of week 4 of veg
high all,
Back for an update.
Here are 2 shots of my Big Blue. I said last week that it was growing funny, well I'm happy to say that she has finally emerged her traditional leaves and is growing normally now. I thought she was going to be mutant, but all is growing well now. I'm pleased with the height she is at now and I haven't given her any ferts yet. The less, the better I think.
My Strawberry Cough plant, I planted outside at a location in some tomatos. It was growing at an uncontrollable rate and was about 3 times the size of my BB. I knew a 80% sativa plant would be hard to contain in a 2.5ft sq.area, so I put her outside. I will take shots of her in a few weeks from now, but I was out there about 5 days after I put it outside. Growing very strong ands fast. She loves the great outdoors :)
Both have been transplanted into their final homes and I plant to switch to 12/12 next weekend(Aug.27).

Here are a few cured shots of my last grow. It is PPP and has been curing for well over a month. Wonderful, potent smoke, taste like lemons when inhaled.
I plan on making some oil from all my trimmings from my last 3 grows. I'll do that this weekend. Peace.
