Evening...

Wanted to post update on Cunt...

She underwent the same procedure as Whore did...

Broad Fan Leaf Removal during Flower Stage....

Again, this was neccessitated by the high heat of the grow box...hence the huge solar panels that were grown and had to come down....

The shadows they were casting were unnaceptable and attempts to supplement with bottom floros failed as I couldnt get them close enuff to the buds with out heat, burn issues....

Thus, the effort to remove the fan leaves...a rather shitty position to be in the first place....to allow light to hit the buds and make them more dense, tight and swollen.

She didnt have nearly as many leaves removed, but an easy half ounce of dried leaves sits near her pot.... alot....

Jsut wanted to show you the main kola she has now....

I took most all fan leaves off the kola...and chopped in half the single bladed flower leaves.

She has responded nicely and is now a fat cunt.... :D

***Also, I show a pic of a stem....or rather what WAS a stem...which is now a nice developing bud...

Note she has NO FAN leaves at all as it was a shitty stem and I figured...what the hell....

Soon.....very soon now.... :(

how long have you been flowering her.....looks like you have a good qp or more on her as it is......im 4 weeks into flowering and the buds are skinny......do they fatten up in their last stages? mine are getting tons of light from the 1000 hps and im growing hydro....i really want dense dense buds

She just started week 7 of flower...

She has until Aug 3.....

These buds fattened starting in week 3 or 4 and get fatter by the week.

The smaller buds on her look dimunutive because of her kola...but those buds around her as nice super dense as well....

i Dont grow hydro so i dont know what to tell you to expect nomad....

1000W HPS seems more than ample...I am sure yours will begin to fill out if all is well...

cool, thanks....i have noticed a little filling out... my colas really dont have much space to grow, ive been bending most of them down..will shortening light hours from 12/12 to 10/14, slow up growth and premote more bud growth(widthley) and fatten them up even more soo than they would kept on the same hours??

your girl by the way is looking awsome!! shes healthy as can be
one of the nicest plants i've seen
you should be very proud, even if her name is Cunt, lol.......it alright for bush to kill thousands of american over an unjust war but not alright for you too call your plants "derogatory" names?...lol people need to realize real threats and problems..

I noticed a high leaf count to calyx ratio. and Your leaves dont have any thc crystals on them. Is this a sativa? The purple is awesome though. I did the same procedure and it helped the first time. I was just wondeing how much shock the plants endure. Because it could actually stunt growth. maybe

Yes she is definately sativa dominant.

Cunt experienced almost zero shock. She is 6.5 weeks so any shock wouldnt really translate into growth stunt. Just death :)

Actually just the opposite semed to happed for her. Her sister, Whore now was in shock for a couple of days...hehehheehe may even still be.

If you shorten the light schedule now, odds are you will actually accelerate more stem and leaf growth...zero bud growth.

As your flower season lengthens, the buds will fill out.

A lot depends on the lighting.... low quality CFL's or other poor lighting is where you will always pay a price in skinny buds at the end.

THe buds will start swelling hard in the final weeks...

I can notice a diff. everyday.

Its important that they also become very dense...very hard...

Kinda like....well I hate to say it...but...kinda like a HARD ON.

With 1000 HPS, your buds will fatten up. Once the pods start sprouting all hell breaks loose and you may not see it cuz its like watching grass grow since you are with them everyday.

Hardon: I have a similar problem with my plants - I am off to home de pot this morn to buys some CFLs (weve talked about this in another thread). In the meantime I tied back all my fan leaves with string so that the cola, particularly the main, were exposed to the light. I thought this would be better than cutting them off. What do you say?

If you have enuff to space to tuck them, then by all means that is preferred over cutting.

Unfortuantely, I do not know of any Home Depot that sells the quality CFL's that are advised.

The ones the do have will require many many many lights...to produce super plants....but if you get enuff of them, you will be able to do a respectable grow, just not a grow that maximizes the plants genetic potential.

BTW my main light is a 600W hps so I only need supplementary lighting to go between the plants

well, believe it or not I bought 2 45w cfl's from walmart and they work well, as Harddon said, it is not the optimal light, but they work, I used them for 2 small dwarfed plants that did not get enough light during veg and they both flowered and look good, but still small...$8 ea...I would get at least 6 if you want real good light coverage over the entire plant 2-3 up top and 3-4 around the sides...hope this helps...latewood...also you can buy 150 hps from your local electrical supply house $79 ;) , just tell them(if you tell them anything) that you are putting a security pole in your back yard...I also buy my MH and HPS bulbs from them...they don't even give me a look, just don't make up any hokie stories...peace

If you buy the cheapo units at wal mart or lights of america crappola, just buy enuff to equal 250W of the REAL ACTUAL WATTAGE...not the ___W = ____W formula they throw on there.

Use the true watts and total them up.

You will get about a 3000 Kelvin setup....far less than the ideal, but better than regular light bulbs....closer to MH.

As far as your veg goes, it you are using HPS, I would also crank up the CFL's.

HPS just produce around 2700 Kelvin....not ideal for veg...

OK Angry Jonathan...

Here are 3 pics...

#1. 6" Vortex fan insterted into the carbonaire filter...***NOTE THIS IN REVERSE...IE...normally the fan would be SUCKING FROM the FILTER...in my setup because of the size, I have it BLOWING INTO the FILTER. Still wonders like magic.

#2. The Filter itself. This is a disposable unit, not refillable....But I think some wrap around carbon filters will ensure it lasts a long long time.

#3. The hose coming from the box, having the air sucked OUT of the box and into the filter.

yea its a hot fucker here too....well over 100 and i frickin love it.

So hot that i am airconditioning my whole garage so whore and cunt remain around 85F...otherwise..i would be close to 100F in the grow box even though they are sleeping right now.

Cant wait for fall and winter when I can have complete control over the temp. This weekend I am installing a window AC unit in my garage...the wife thinks it is for the dogs..... HEHEHEHHEHEHEEEE

Ohas far as noice....very quiet compared to when I had just a 6" inline duct fan going. That fucker sounded like a vacuum cleaner.

This unit is amazingly loss noise...If I had it in the box, I wouldnt hear a thing. Outside, it sounds like a quiet fan running in the background.

All steel so while heavy, very quiet sounding.

It depends on if you use it they way it is supposed to be used.

In the pic that outter wrapper is designed just for that...and the filter gets tighter as it works its way to the middle.

I am doing it backwards....

I think the thing will last a couple of years...

oh well if it doesnt, well Hard On just buys another!
