i think i saw a $3 12pk,of natural light lol
nattys not beer, its nasty flavored water, with slime added in. ewww. lol, but yeah, you got jacked big time, unless thats just the going rate for that kind of beer in that area..who knows?
im a stout drinker my self and most taverns over here have domestic beers for 1-2 $ at happy hour and you can find guiness on draft for 2 $ during happy hour as well but in summer time i like ales more than the heavy stout's my favorite is blue heron pale ale [ mendocino brewing co. .. but there is one more i like even better but is not aval. on the east coast were i live and that is full sail amber ale ..dman good beer very tasty and reasonably priced
Miller is kind of a cheap beer here in the states too. Hipsters who are poor or indie usually drink PBR when going for the cheapness.
(Pabst Blue Ribbon, must be ordered as a PBR for maximum coolness)
Natural Light is great for parties. It tastes so terrible but it's so cheap, you can buy shitloads for nothing
the tavern up near the campus here has 1 dollar pbr's at happy hour .. but if you want to be fancy they have drink called a ..redneck on vacation.. it is a longneck PBR with a lime in itQuote:

The price is high but if your buying it in Ireland itâ??s going to be higher than the U.S. because itâ??s imported.

I think they do that so people don't get so drunk at the fucking games and kill each other.
i fucking love moleson, also a NY beer Gennisee (spelling?) i also like texas beer, Shiner Bock...
thats how much a beer is at a concert or a ball game..... dam son u got ripped off.
Dublin is expensive - 14th most expensive city in the world I recently read.
I visited Dublin with family last year and was shocked by the prices - ie. about $3.25 for a small Diet Coke (I don't drink alcohol) at the pub near where we stayed - to make it worse, the person I was with gave the bartender a 5 Euro tip - he thought the coin was like a quarter ... we silly Americans :o

Compared to America they jack you on all of that shit in Europe. You pay all of that money for a tiny ass meal and a little tiny glass of soda that doesn't have ice cubes and no free refills. Although that's not a bad thing, it's probably why over there you don't have to step over fat people on the streets dying of exaustion every time the temperature goes over 85.
The McDonalds in Dublin closest to the Spire (when I first arrived there, I thought the spire was a giant cellular tower LOL!) didn't offer double cheeseburgers, which both the person I was with and myself wanted - so I improvised and ordered four regular cheesebugers and made two doubles out of those ... and of course they offered no free refills
Ron
about a buck but save your money for weed
A domestic bottle around here goes for anywhere between 3.25-5.00 in a pub. In a club....forget about it....you pay for the atmosphere(AKA females).
I wouldn't spend a dollar on that stuff, but that's just me. I have been accused of being a bit of a beer snob, so take my opinion for what it's worth. I'm not so much of a snob (I don't think I know enough about beer to be a snob about it, lol), I just prefer my beer strong & dark, which rules out a lot of American beers.
But here in bars, $2 or so is about average for such a brew, maybe $1 on special.

exchange rate was 2.9,($100 usd =290 DM)

like pennies for a huge stine of beer
5 marks would buy the bar a round,i was well liked (i will brag)
didnt mind spending a few bucks for a room full of cheer
and the housebreu 's was even cheeper sometimes and POTENT like a wine
if you ever had a big glass boot of beer ya wont forget it
i thought this was strange too, they served wine and coke ?tried it
wonders what a beer there cost now? anyone in germany or been there lately
