Expert Growers: Can you please critique my plant?
Hey guys,
I have 4 plants growing right now and are about 1 month old. I started them out in a 3" pot with organic soil and Terracycle organic plant food. I have 4 flourescent lights (mixture of gro-lux standard and wide spectrum) and a light cycle of (12/12) from the beginning of growth until now.
I have transplanted the plants after about 2 1/2 weeks into a 3 gallon pot which they will remain until harvesting. I give them the terracycle plant food, based on the directions on the bottle, which is about 8 fl oz. for 3 gallon pots every 10-14 days.
I just wanted the expert growers to critique my process and tell me any errors I have made and what I should do differently next time around.
Also I noticed my plant is not as leafy as the ones in the gallery and was wondering if my growing process was the cause of it.
I have included a picture of 2 of the plants at 1 month old.
Any help and info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx guys.

Im No expert But It looks a bit Lanky (stretching for light).
it might Be an idea to lower your Lights But I dont do Indoor so im only guessing here bro.

it looks nice and healthy, but it could use more light, and maybe be topped too.

Out of curiosity...
Why do you have them on a 12/12 light cycle....since birth?
Its amazing they are still standing....
Hell a month old? They ought to have flowers starting pretty soon...
Here is what I would do......
Change the light cycle to 24/0 for 3 weeks.
Lower the lights to as close as you can possibly get them to the top leaves and use a fan to keep the top hot air off the leaves. Get a good fan.
Dont add any nutes or anything for 3 weeks.
Water only with purified or RO water with a pH of 6.8
If they are alive in 2 weeks, chime back in and update pics.
Maybe we can fix these for ya.

thats sounds perfect. I was wondering my self why you had them on 12/12 since birth. 12/12 light cycle is for flowering, and plants should be at least 60 days old before you start the flowering process.....do what harddon says, hes a pro in my book.:) good luck bro.

The 12/12 explains why its Lanky its Stretching for sunbeams.:D.
You'll Be lucky If she stays le'feme after that treatment..
slowly increase the Light hours By 1/2 hour a day till your up to veg times then go And do some Learning..Read all of Zandors Posts and you'll Be a Hydro Guru in no time..

Also I was interested in cloning the plant. Can someone please explain to me how would they clone my plant based on the pics I provided and exactly where to top it at. Also what are the advantages and dis-advantages to cloning.
Thanks again guys
Expert Growers: Can you please critique my plant?
Zandor has a sticky here on cloning...
But bro.....you clone secondary growth shoots.
Your plant doesnt have any.
You have nothing to clone.
Be patient man...take our advice and follow it....
If you want help that is.....good luck.

Thanks again Harddon and I have one more question for you and just wanted to know if the process I have planned for this new plant is the correct way in doing it..
I am about to start a new plant from seed. I will start it in a 3 inch pot. Now I should start the light cycle with (18/6) from birth right? and when should I transplant to the 3 gallon pot and start adding nutes to it?
Thanks again
Expert Growers: Can you please critique my plant?
18/6 or 24/0... again a matter of opinion. I know I went with 18/6 as I believe that plants, even MJ, benefit from rest.
transplant when the plant is ready for it.
just post pics,,, we'll tell you when.....
dont add nutes till week 3 is over...if then.
also depends on your soil......try to get some PRO-MIX....
You wont need to worry about nutes for a long time.

So I followed HARDDONS suggestions from the previous thread and I have given the plants 24 hours of light for 3 weeks. The picture attached is a result of a light cycle of (24/0). Should I know begin the flowering stage light cycle at (12/12). The plants are now 2 months old. Thanks for all the help!

Now, you've got a plant, way to go, ther is hope, the guys gave you good advice and you mad ethe effort and look how it has paid off, look forward to seeing you finish...latewood
Expert Growers: Can you please critique my plant?
i would say induce flowering soon... but you know how to go about it in the most productive way right?
Expert Growers: Can you please critique my plant?
What would your suggestions be for the most productive outcome?

Yah all you need to do is keep your plants closer to the light, and/or get a stronger light, either a high pressure sodium or a metal halide light system. You need a decent amount of light to get some bud. If your just using a few fluoro's your going to get like 5 grams in the end. lol. You should get like at least 10 for a plant if you want decent results. And actually you should get compact fluorescent. Don't buy the fancy shit for growing, the cheap no name ones are just as good for growing cannabis as the expensive ones. You should probably buy a whole shitload of compact fluorescent light bulbs and make a grow chamber or something, or just spend some cash on a real grow light from www.insidesun.com they are cheap as hell and i hear they are good. Or you can just go to a hydroponics shop near you and get a light like the ones they have on insidesun or other websites but for alot more money. Good luck!! they look healthy.

supercrop it for best yields bend the top of it by rubbing it and bending it slowly this will make it bushier if done correctly

If you have an HID light then the $9 45w cfl's @ wally's work great...I added 2 for dimensional lighting with good results...wish I had 2 more.
