Losing Connection

I have a friend, well actually, she's one of my best friends and my only friend who I know smokes weed. Before she married, we used to smoke together all the time and almost always, I supplied the weed. Since I lost all my weed connection, I've been getting some from her, since she married a man who knows where to get some. For a while, it was no problem getting weed off of her husband. About two months ago, her husband cut me off saying that he couldn't get anymore weed. I told him to let me know as soon as he can when he can get more.

Well, it seems he was always able to get weed because everytime I call my girlfriend, she is stoned out of her mind! I've asked her if she can get me some and she says she doesn't know because her husband deals with all that. I've asked her husband and he says he doesn't have enough for me. Since then, I have dropped hints like "boy, I wish I was high..." but she says nothing and I can hear the water bubbling (from her bong) and her holding her breath. I feel very uncomfortable about this and although I don't say anything, it kinda pisses me off. It's like she's rubbing it in my face. We've been friends for a long time, I mean she knows I haven't had any weed in a while.

I have never stiffed them or anything like that...so I really don't know what the deal is. Should I say something? Why would she smoke while talking with me on the phone?

Oh man, she's been my friend for a long time though..I can't not be her friend. I just want to say something to her, but I don't know what because she can be extremely sensitive. She is easily hurt by words. Besides, I don't know where or how I could find friends who smoke.

She can be a bitch sometimes (not to me) but she's proud of that. I just don't know if I am making a big deal out of something small. It just bugs the hell out of me.

Dang sounds like your feining. I know how that is girl it sucks. You can take a road trip down to KY and me and my friends will hook you up with whatever you want then we can smoke a blunt and run a train on you.

I'm not sure the chick is to blame. Could be the husband being a total dick. I wouldn't be confrontoinal about it, but I think trying to have a conversation with her would be good. If shes your best friend, probobly better to find another connection than loose the friendship.

I know how that is. My ex best friend And I have been friends for over 10 years. Since kindergarden. Well, When I found out I was pregnant I just had bought some weed a quarter, Welll I couldn't smoke it so I gave it to her.. I didn't sell it I GAVE it to her. So, after I had the baby and everything, I go up to her and ask her for some weed, she said i have to pay her like 60 a quarter, fuck all that. I was like..no thats okay I dont need it that bad.Well, we're not friends anymore, because she hates me now for some ungodly reason i'm not sure of, but anyway...I know how you feel. I don't have any body 2 get high with anymore, andit really does suck but this is where you get it yourself, find your own connections, and smoke by yourself,and get to know yourself high...In kentucky there is always someone around here who has weed, i know a lot of the people who sell, I just never ask because i used to always be known as the'good girl' out of my sisters, and i'm like the one everyone turns to when they need to talk or just vent because i supposely have a good head on my shoulders.But i'd ask her about it, and see what she says try to be as nice as possible and if she takes it the wrong way...it's her fault.

Hmmm..."I dont know, my husband deals with all that" ? Sounds like she may be trying to spare your feelings with that one, and coward herself out of an awkward situation.

Did you hit them up for weed often? If so they may be feeling used (though, they should be understanding if they're smokers) which could be why they are pretending to not pick up on your not-so-subtle hints, you know?

Definitely sounds like something more is going on. I'd ask for a straight up answer, and prepare yourself that you may not like what your gf and/or her husband may say, but at least then you would know and could either clear up whatever the problem or misunderstanding is and you can stop wasting your time with hints and whatnot.

you may find once you get your own connection things will ease up with you and your homegirl. Get some mail order and call her up for afternoon tea and smoke a peace pipe together.

I agree with Mono, sounds like her hubby's being a jerk. But, it's also inconsiderate of her to smoke up when she's on the phone with you!! Especially when she is well aware that you are jonesing.

Maybe you weren't the only person that they were helping get weed. Mr. Mary was at one time helping out about 5 or 6 guys that he worked with, it got to be too much. One of them would call here early in the morning and ask if he could bring some to work!! Wtf?

Anyway, if they aren't willing to help you out anymore, one of them should have balls enough to be honest and tell you what the reason is for the sudden cut off. I would also think that a best friend would not even think twice about throwing you a joint or a nug or at least inviting you over to smoke up.

Like Scarlett said, find your own connection and you won't have to rely on a middle man.

Well, I'm not one for bugging out and call her (or anyone for that matter) just to get weed or continue to call asking for some. I had only asked them for weed maybe a couple of times and the hints I gave were a couple of times too. I felt funny the first day they told me that they didn't have any.

I talk to her all the time on the phone and she only lives about 5 blocks away. It does suck that she wouldn't sneak me a doob (which I would insist on paying for) or invite me over to catch a buzz. I think I will ask her what's up. Why am I so damn nervous? I guess I don't want to lose the friendship or have it change in any way...

Maybe I will try mail order...a little uneasy about that....but I don't have too many options.

If she's a good friend I wouldn't worry. If she's a shithead who would alter your friendship just because you were honest with her and brought up a concern of yours, then I wouldn't be gripping tight onto her friendship if I were you.
