What is your opinion on how stickies should be dealt with here? After all itâ??s the m

Should stickies be written up like the cloning one and them locked? My thinking was to provide proven quality information with out any crap or jokes from other people. Iâ??m not talking about questions Iâ??m talking about the kiddies who post that they grow seeds in their ass or people flaming others for what they think is stupid. I may be overacting but to me good information around all the forum (not just here, so far were not that bad) has been tainted by some small mined people who have no regard for others or even common courtesy. They have only served to confuse many people and drive them away.

Itâ??s not my forum itâ??s yours so how you all like to see stickies dealt with.

I will remove the sticky on this post once the vote has been taken. There is no need to keep it up after that.

i think it's a great idea, we should have stickies for different common problems/techniques.. like cloning, harvesting, sexing, topping, lst,... that kinda thing..

if we know the information is right.. than it'll be like a frequently asked questions section

I think On issues Like Cloning 101 and future subjects around the general subject.
if its somone as credible as Zandor then I think It should be a Locked sticky.
You Dont need that Information cross contaminated with every tom dick and harrys opinion..

I think if you are puting up the right info and are credible you may as well lock the stickie.But on the other hand people may have something useful to add.You will always have to put up with dickheads

Mod can add to the sticky, I have in the cloning post. I just hate to see what is happening at OG happen here. That's all but in the end it's up to the members. When the voting ends that's how it goes.

So vote now or save the bitching if you are not happy with the reults.

Well it looks like someone made the decision for us. Someone unlocked the threads so I guess this is a mute point now.

Sorry I was trying to keep thing clean and organized for everyone but I guess we all got out voted.

Ok I guess it was a Vb bug then that unlocked them so the part is still on so vote today!!!

Dude it's been that way for years. Nothing new itâ??s just that good information being missed and confused by inaccurate information. A new grower reads a good how to post to learn but there are "other's" who post inaccurate information in the same thread. The new grower looks at the count of how may post the "Other's" have and then think they must be correct. Thus the confusion (imo) then you get people fighting i threads or (heaven forbid) off topic posts and good information is no longer valued. That is why they have the FAQ section that is just more then just a search feature. After you spend hours on the forums searching you are still confused. What help is that? You get the same question over and over again only because there is no good clean information that is easy to read and understand. It's there but weeding through to find it requires you to really know the answer to start with.
Well that's what I think anyway. That is why I am asking how the members feel after all its there site.

yes i agree,i try like most others to post acurate info but u do see alot of wierd ideas and sugestions.I do see your point.

keep it locked...I like the idea of someone credible like Zandor etc...putting up a tutorial and it can be referenced at any time quickly and easily...locking up these tutes
will also help keep the sight cleaner and then less experienced growers can ask legitimate questions instead of the same basic topic being asked about in different ways...IMHO...latewood
