So where do you belong politically. The quiz is a little lame but what the hell, final toll had me as a libertarian with a touch of republican.
So what are you??? :D

I've been pegged as a Democrat with some Libertarian and Green tendancies, I guess.
green party here
Green Party for me!
right on brother!
Alot of Green...here's the definition...now how well do you fit?

Plenty of choices....to bad they don't all have the same national coverage!

Glad you had fun with it! Like I said, it's a shame that we are limited to the two majors. Federal funding for campaigns should include ALL parties equally with the debates, funding, air time, etc....Wouldn't it be interesting what party would prevail if that were the case. I recall when Ross Perot shook up the system...the big word was don't waste your vote on someone that can't win. America shouldn't be limited in such a manner. Any vote, winner or not, is an expression of beliefs and shouldn't be belittled by the press as a waste.
In general, we don't vote for the person we feel is best for the job, or who we like. We vote against the one we really don't want. It's really a shame we have progressed in this direction! Our last election should have taught us a lesson. The largest voter turnout and I would wager that the majority of Bushs' votes were actually anti-Kerry....I know mine was!
It's time ALL these politicians were held accountable at the polls. The true feelings and beliefs of the American people are being strangled by the two party system. I can't see ANY of the "so called" front runners for "08" being any type of improvement. Damn, at least give us a third choice for once!
It said the Green Party for me, but I would never support the Green Party since it seeks the attainment of state power and I am an anarchist.
True, true I agree wholeheartedly....
Wouldn't it be great if our next Prez was an independent!!
Here is a good site for seeing where you stand politically. It finds your position on a chart organized according to the traditional left-right spectrum as well as an up-down authoritarian/anti-authoritarian spectrum.

Good questions...to bad they didn't have a "neutral" answer. May have made the 0,0 mark.
While I agree that our country would seriously benefit from a third - or even fourth - party, our system of government won't ever allow it. Because of the winner-take-all format most states use in the Electoral College, a third party, ostensibly one that's either more liberal or conservative than what we have now, would simply deny votes to the major party most closely associated with it (like Nader was to the Democrats, only on a larger scale).
The only way an independent candidate can succeed nowadays is if he or she has loads of money. And unless you want a big lottery winner running things, anyone that wealthy is bound to have serious corporate ties that would make he or she just like what we have now.
I think that's why the only countries with any success at having a multi-party systems are one with a parliamentry system of government. That way, no matter who wins or loses, votes translate into legislative seats so everyone is represented.

Have a good one ....
I'm just the opposite, way out there on the anti-authoritarian left, but it'll nudge me to the right a little because I believe in gun rights and stuff like that.
Very Interesting, I would have thought myself going to the left but wound up 1.75 to the right with a -2.21 to Libertarian. Good one.
Funny thing is that for probably 20 years of my adult life I would have fallen on the right side of the chart, now I line up with Nelson Mandela and Gandhi. Nobody can say I didn't give Conservatism a chance....I voted Republican in 1972, 76, 80, 84, 88, and 92. Then a revelation came over me....those folks have gone toooo far to the extreme. They are no longer conservatives when it comes to money, only when it comes to dictating what people can and cannot do in their personal lives.
I'll stick to being alligned with Nelson Mandela and be proud of that!!! :D
A new report released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri) an independent research institute, just revealed the extraordinary sums spent on weapons in 2004 - the sixth successive year in which arms spending increased.
The global total spent on munition topped $1 trillion!!!
In contrast, the amount spent on arms with $455bn, an increase from
2003 of 12 per cent.
Britain, the second largest arms spender, spent $47bn - a tenth of the
U.S. total.
This is the biggest scandal on earth and the biggest problem for the future of Humanity.
1 Trillion is 1 billion of billions of billions of $ wasted for nothing while
scientists have no money to make researches.
With only 1 year of this stupid military spending there would be no more
1 million children on earth starving to death, and a cure for AIDS and
for cancer would have been found.
The militaries of the earth are the cancer of Humanity.
Looks like NicholASS is back!Quote:

These teachers are not paid enough, some poor children don't textbooks or even a nice desk to sit at. We need to give more money to these schools.

Yay!! You're a wild Libertarian, you believe in freedom, small government, personal responsibility, and the rights of every individual to live their own lives without government involvement. Michael Badnarik should have been your choice for pres. in 2005, but he didn't stand a chance and neither do most libertarians. But don't give up we'll get those political hacks eventually!

libertarians are the 3rd most represented party in local elections around the country. one will never become president, but that doesn't matter...elections at the national level are staged...the key is to vote locally where people still retain some power.

Its funny, I took this test b4 when i wasn't stoned, and i scored much more towards the middle on the economic part.
I'll stick to being alligned with Nelson Mandela and be proud of that!!!
Three cheers for onwardthroughthefog!! And all the other free thinkers on CDC!
Hey Torog I'm curious as to which liberal issues you are leaning toward.....
That puts me in about the same spot as the dalai lama when im stoned.
Your in good company Ed! Have you ever read Transforming Suffering? It is a great book written by the Dalai Lama, the Pope, Thomas Keating, Thubten Chodron and other religious leaders...it is really a good book.
No but ive read some of "The compassionate life" by ol' Tenzin. It was pretty good too. You just made me want to read the rest of it. =P
Oh I have been wanting to read that! Transforming Suffering contains the notes and thoughts from a religious summit...Christains, Buddists, Zen masters all coming together to talk about what is happening in the world...it is pretty cool.Quote:
