what's the deal with skaters and weed, like a skate shop can have a little smoke shop something or whatnot... and at school i saw these stickers posted on kids lockers saying "legalize skateboarding" and it was a marijuana leaf, made of green skateboards..... :confused:

skaters take their whole image to seriously they are badasses and they dont take orders and they play by their own rules i skate and smoke but i smoked before i skated and i consider my self a stoner mabe even a hippie but never a skater
skating when you're high is so fun. especially if you're really good already at skating, just rolling around is so chill
unfortunatlely this doesn't apply to me and i fall on my ass when i skate sober
i had a shop sponser when i was 13 but i broke my ankle and got arrested that summer so i quit skating..i borrow ppls boards sometimes when i c them skating around and can still outskate them lol
I dunno But when I was Younger and used to skate I found that having a smoke beforhand took my confidence away..
I skated alot Better Completely straight Or completely Drunk But I always went to big when I was drunk...:(
I can't skate for shit stoned. Never could. You just need so much balance and energy if you ever wanna do the nice complicated tricks. But at night when we put the boards down it was time to relax.
kick flip to nose picking a curb always made me feel good.:) I can still do that shit too, like once a year :p

skating when high is fun....i guess like surfing when high...i find it alot harder to skate when stoned but its still fun

I first started smoking weed as a young skater, whether theres a link between skating and smoking I dont think so.
Although when I was skating a large percentage of the skaters I met smoked as well.
its just 2 things that compliment each other
like football and drinking maybe
but i dont skate and dont really like skaters

Skating is boring, in my opinion.
There is like.. 2 out of a couple hundred skaters in my town that I like. Funny enough, I would say that less than 1/2 of the skaters in this town actually smoke
I smoke and skate and sometimes together. I don't really think they're linked or anything but its fun skating when your high. I actually get brave and start trying tricks and usually fall on my ass but its all good.

Skaters are to this decade what hippies were to the 60s and 70s, I guess...the majority of skaters I know smoke weed, sometimes harder shit.
I used to skate but quit that shit. I never smoked while I was in my skating days of middle school and into high school. What mellowyellow said is true to an extent. I've met some guys who skate and are really badass guys. But then again, there are thos jackass skaters that do whatever the hell they want to do, regardless if they're breakin the law or on someone elses private property. But hey, what group isn't stereotyped?
Everyone's gonna get stereotyped but I know a lotta skaters that are just really cool people. I guess in any group of people there are gonna be assholes though but the ones I know are cool.
That is so true for me too. When I use to skate in junior high and high school, I was the only one who wasn't smoking pot, drinking my face off, and the people who were, are all either drunks, dead, crackheads, or dishwashers for life.Quote:
