Just a Few Quick Questions
Alright the situation is that im planing on growing 3 to 4 plants in my attic. I have 6 plants at the moment but i havent began flowering them yet so i dont know sex but anyway. Im planing on using 2 flourscent light fixtures that hold 2 bulbs a piece ( double flo's ) also im using 2 halogen lights a friend gave me and said he had great results (thicker buds). THis brings me to the first question is this going to be enough light, the attic is about 6 feet long 4 feet wide and 4 feet tall in a triangle shape.
Now my second question is my plants have been growing for about 2 to 3 weeks they are all about 6 to 8 inches high and have 3 to 4 nodes each plant wonderin how the pros think it is workin out just want a little feedback. Oh and they are in soil figured it would be smart to say that
OH and when should i start flowering i figure in a week or two

What are the temperatures in your attic?
A good rule to follow is from seed about 3 weeks before you switch them to start a veg cycle. The veg cycle is about 30 day's and flower is 45-60 day's or more depending on the strain you are growing.
That's just a general rule as a guide line.

Hello,
Zandor - Do you consider the first three weeks of a seeds life (above ground) the seedling stage?
This is always what I have gone by, then on the end of the third week/start of the fourth I consider the plant to have started the veg cycle and I introduce my feeding program.
It is good to see that others see it this way also, I think.
Take care
Peace

Yes that is the seedling stage to me anyway. It's a very fragile point and most people push their plants to fast and they stress. The leaves grow fine and may look good but the stock still needs to develop thicker stems and improve the uptake of nutrients and over all health of the plant and ready it for a good cycle grow. I do use nutrients after the second week very week but I do feed them.

What is the temperature of the space you want to grow in. Temperature may be more of a problem then you are thinking.

Massive fans mean little in an attic grow.
What is the ambient temperature of the attic air to begin with?
Blowing hot air around means little...
My grow box swelters to 90 F in the day, lights off, and 600 CFM being run thru it.
Its in the garage.
You'll need to tell him the attic temps or what ever else he asks, specifically.
Good Luck.

Your friend is full of it bro, sorry to tell you. I wrote in your last thread that you can't use halogen lights for growing. Your friend can say he did all he wants with his "thicker buds" story, but it's untrue, cannot be done. Has the wrong light spec for growing for one thing, and they give off so much fuckin heat that it would be impossible to keep the grow room at the right temp.
Mh, Hps, Floro/CFL, sunlight<-----that's all you can use
