haha your as old as you feel.Yea i was gonna say garcia was in that band, but i wasn't sure and didn't wanna sound like an ass.But yea,i think ive heard of that dead band somewhere.....
I'm not sure how old you are, but did you ever get to see the Dead in person before Jerry passed on? And can you believe it's been TEN years since he died? I believe he passed in 1995 didn't he? Seems that I heard that on the radio recently.Quote:

I guess this is waaaaay off the original theme of the thread. Sorry...and hello to the new guy. Hope you learn a lot and make some good friends on here. :D
No unfortunately I never got to see him in concert.(only 17),But yea i think he did die in 1995,i'm pretty sure anyways. But i've heard lots of stories about dead concerts.Good shit
my dad was a roady for the dead and many other groups......sticks, scorpins, rolling stones, ted nungent, areosmith, jackson browne, maria....the list goes on
he told me jerry was cool but basically kept to himself..... i guess he would only allow 1 person into his dressing room at a time because more than two people was considered a conspiracy......alot of drugs went on in there
ha he even told me about tommy shaw's birthday (sticks) when you first walked into the house there was a huge cube of yay, i mean huge....you would scrape i little off and then head into the party......he blaze a cheech and chong joint (record paper) with the quitarist of aerosmith, shaw, and a few other roady's..... lastest from 12- 3 in the am
my father lived the craziest live.... grew up in a aiforce family all over the world became a radical hippy who bombed a draft board during the vietnam war (before computers every drafty was on file) destoryed thousands of drafties info and spent 3 years in prison
i'd go on about his life but it would take way to long......my goal is to right a book about him......it would be like blow with more action and adventure and a happy ending
Hi there Panama Red,
I like Neil Young when he was in Bufflao Springfield. Retrospective is in my collection! :) When you say Marijuana you say it all! :p
Nomandherbman, Your Dad sounds like quite a character! I like people like that. Not the pretentious type but someone with some good stories to tell.
ya he reminds me of the guy in the movie BIG FISH... i believe his stories but sometimes i think they might be exxagerations, but i cant know for sure
