first time-was it right?

the other day, i smoked pot for the first time outta a pipe. i wasnt sure whether i was doing it right so i kept on getting instructions on how to suck. i heard that first timers dont get high, but i think i did: after taking a really deep 5th and last puff, i couldnt stop coughing for 20 mins straight. wehn i stopped coughing, i finally felt really diffrent. it felt like everything was a recording/flipbook/DREAM that was moving really fast, lightheaded, and the people on tv looked like dolls and everything around me was moving so incredibly fast while i moved really slow. my friend pretended to throw a ball at me (there wasnt actually a ball) and i cought it. i also could only focus on one thing at a time. i remember staring at the lamp string for the longest time. and every move i made seemed huge. i felt really dizzy and couldnt walk. i got a really dry mouth.i puked twice that night, and i dont know why. the time pasted by so much quicker than i thought it was too. the whole night felt like a dream, therefore i cant remember certain parts very well. my questions:
was what a high is normally like?
why did i puke?
why did i cough sooo much?

sounds like agood time to me! the flip book thing is normal where u see everything in frames, just means ur really high, u prolly puked cuz u smoked too much for the first time when ur bodys not used to it and you coughed so much because you were smoking weed...it gets easier the more u smoke, just hold it in for about 5-10 seconds and you should be good

Sometimes I feel like I'm going to puke if I accidentally swallow... like if I take a hit I could never hold and try to anyway, then hold in my coughs, I swallow smoke and air and it fucks me up. Just be careful next time ;)

You mightive puked due to the bowl, I almost puke sometimes when I'm smoking a bowl and accidently pull some ash through and get that stuck in my throat. Yeah, you were high, thats what the visual/time disortion was. I wish I could still get that high, but a las, I smoke too much dank weed and don't get high anymore unless I smoke a fat blut to the head or gb hits, about 6 of them. It's fun and welcome to stonerhood.

Your had a fairly normal experience. Time distortions, mild visual distortions. I've thrown up a couple of times when smoking. Usually because I just build up phlem when smoking (sorry thats kinda gross, but its true). The coughing will go away with practice. Some people don't get high the first time, but you undoubtedly did get high. Anyways, did you find your experienc enjoyable?

i've only thrown up once while on herb (and damn, those were some boss nuggs =p), and i believe it was due to the hallucinations i was having. a psychosomatic motion sickness if you will.

I've been lucky enough to never puke while high. On once occasion my friend started puking and I was WAY to baked to notice. I noticed it the next morning and had know clue what/who had done it.

Yes Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Leaf=) You Throwing up is just ur body not being used to the High. Smoke just lil bit less next time and work ur way up to More and take breaks every so often if u do become a regular=) but remember to have fun and stay safe=P

Sounds to me like you had a good experience the first time. You might want to bring along some water or another drink that you like (Lemon Lime Gatorade= fucking rocks) that you can sip on so you won't feel so dehydrated. That was pretty much what a normal high feels like, though your first 3 times or so are the best of all, so enjoy them while you can. You coughed because you were smoking weed. You'll get to where you can hit the pipe as much as you want and you won't really cough all that much. Welcome to the "Fraternity of the Leaf"!

haha thanks for the answers guys, and yes i DID enjoy it quite a bit, it WAS a weeee bit scary because it was such a WEIRD experience, but i really did like the feeling and how it feltl ike, i was almost in a different world, im doing it again in the near future :p

Do many people puke while high, i've never puke and i've been smoking on a regular basis for about a year and a half now.

I've never puked while high and i don't intend to.

i wish i cud get high like that :(:(:(

Only time iv came near to Puking is when i Downed Aton of Dro in a 2 hour period after a LONG ses with Vodka, im guessing it was 2 much weed and Vodka( Vodka always Ripps me a new one.
