Swallowing? Problems?

Hey up,

I've been smoking for like 4 years now, the last year i was smoking more or less all day, some days i get up and don't smoke during the day but around 6ish smoke till like 2am, sometimes 6am, so days i hit it all day (sput and skunk, mostly skunk, but still a fair amount of sput). Can't remember days i havn't had weed, although i feel i can control it, about a month ago i've started to cut down and had a few days where i've had nothing, and i never feel like a joint. I also smoke cigarettes about 10-15 a day.

Anyway, enough woffle.

The last few months i've had small problems with weed, that has given me reason to cut down, and i want to find out whats causing it, because it may well not be the weed, or i might need a long break or something, so ill chat some more shit about my experiences and hope someone will chat some shit to me about something similar (kinda stoned atm).

I've never had problems like these until recently, i used to smoke the same if not more like a year ago and had no problems whatsoever.

Also anothing thing, around the time this started happening, i slightly started to get kinda depressed.. nothing serious, wouldnt do some mad shit like cut myself, never really get mad, just think shit in my head (prob. because of the weed) and i looked on the internet about weed causing depression and other stuff, so thats what made me start to cut down a few months ago..

Sometimes when im stoned now my throat feels tight, lungs hurt (i've read shit about people getting nervous and popping whiteys and shit, i see people pull whiteys all the time but never really pulled one myself, if i have it hasn't been the same as this).

Now when i get like this i start to think stuff i dont want to and start sending myself under and its really hard to breath, also had an experiance that was like a heart attack, i could feel my pulse and was following it in my head and then my pulse stopped (i could stop feeling it in my body... didnt stop, but it send me under and i paniked and had a small panic attack... but i know now and prob. wont have anything like it again).

What i'm saying is why is this happening now??? i NEVER used to feel like this, never had trouble breathing, (sometimes feels like i have trapped wind, and get random pains on my body that would prob send most ppl under, but i can control it), also are these pains imagined in my head because what i've read?!? or are these pains real because im having an allergic reaction or got trapped wind or anything or because ive smoked it for so long or because i smoke alot of cigs is it fucking me up?!?

Any ideas guys?

Btw. im 17 nearly 18, im not like 30 or anything (so i doubt its something serious so early in age.... or could it be? i mean im pretty health, pretty lazy but tall very thin (no matter what i eat... and i munch like a motherfucker when im on the munchies but put no weight on)

Added: When stoned sometimes resently when i have problems breathing i sometimes send myself under thinking shit did i swallow down the wrong hole when i munch something because my throat feels fucked and feels swollen and i think to myself i got two holes in my throat and start thinking mad shit about how to swallow and stuff and is pretty unplesent?? can anyone give me advice for this, or can someone like tell me you must be swallowing down the right hole because otherwise you would choke... and since i dont choke i could just put my mind at ease and forget about it?!?

Do you have two holes in your throat one goes like to your nose or something and one goes down to your stomach, where the fucks the windpipe?? i sent myself under once thinking all this shit and it WAS NOT good lol, can someone explain this?!?

Frequent use causes some lung and throat irritation.
Your nose and mouth tubes connect, then the single tube (trachea?) branches into the bronchial tube to your lungs and the esophagus to your stomach.
Marijuana cannot cause psychological problems alone, but it can speed or exacerbate their onset in those that have a pre-existing propensity for them.

BUT- You just have paranoia. It might be the strain, it might be the amount, but just try to stop smoking before you get there.

Maybe try exercising, my brother got really bad head and back pains for a period of time, I think he still gets it mildly. Stop smoking cigarettes, you say your really thin, even though you eat a lot. That means your heart already is beeting pretty fast, cigarettes are just going to make your lungs 50x worse. Take some shrooms and think about what good cigarettes do for you.

Cheers for the advice there, yeah thats what i kind of thought, it might be the strain because i use a new dealer now, but i use quite a few different ones and havn't noticed a pattern.. eg. not noticed a purticular dealers weed gives me these affects.

Good advice there, been thinking to myself i need to exercise more, need to build me some muscles and put some weight on, and i do have some back pains, have done for quite a while now, about the head thing, i smoked quite alot the other night and my head felt like it was going to explode.. felt like several people pushing my head in.

I really do need to quit smoking, i need something to really make me do it though because i find it really really hard to.. Been meaning to take some shrooms, might have a trip to amsterdam planned, if it does through then im gonna try some shrooms.

I use to smoke a pack a day, then I ate some mushrooms @ a grateful dead tribute band festival, and during my peak I realized how stupid cigarettes are, and never smoked one again. Good luck to you, I would hate to see anyone have to stop smokin the ganj. Another thing I thought of is, you might be getting to high for your high metabolism to handle. I'm going to hear it for that comment, bring it on!

I plan to wake up tomorrow and not have another cig... ill prob. tell how it goes tomorrow..

Yeah i think i need a day off ganj every now and again just so i'm not constantly smoking it.

Lol, sometimes i smoke a bit on a joint and can feel pretty stoned, i smoke most of my weed at night and come to think of it, i hardly feel bad affects if i smoke during the day (could it be tiredness?), also its skunk that gives me these affects more (although that would be ovious).. i could smoke sput all day and can control it fine because its shit quality and prob. microwaved its cheap as shit where i live.

And my mom and dad were home and me and my friend got high and I was chill and laughing then I was like "I dont want to be a stereotype stoner who laughs at everything, fuck that" so I just told my friend be quiet and let me watch tv. So we chilled and then I got all nervous I was like "My parents know dude, I can tell." Went and took a shower and then I just chilled for a while. But yeah, I could feel my pulse then if I moved it'd stop for a bit then come back.

That was probably from you being high for the first time and being around your parents. Come on man, you got to plan your first time, it's kind of like poppin your cherry.

Yeah i've heard similar things from first time smokers, but i've been smoking for a long time and only feeling the effects now?!? never went under or anything when i started for some reason.

a similar experience happened to me when i moved and had to quit for a couple months cause i couldnt find shit. i think its more mental than physical. when u feel like u cant breathe u start to freak and overanalyze things in your head. also its important to be in comfortable surroundings whenever you do anykind of drug. plus your brain is changing alot at your age from when u started at 14 to now, u might not feel the same now when u smoke as u did then. also try to say goodbye to cigs i know its hard and a habit but if you have good green fuck cigs. also exercise more to keep your lungs healthy. a sedintary lifestyle will fuck your body up quicker than u think. thats why so many americans are obese cause they dont have any physical outlet. your not the only one whose felt like that so dont worry u just have to make some changes. good luck

Um, dude take your list of symptoms to your Doctor. Nobody on here is qualified to diagnose your ailments. They may want to help you out and give some ideas what it might be or relate similar shit and thats all good and respectable but the things you are listing are better decided upon by a qualified person just to be safe.
You dont have to say shit about the weed use if you dont want to just tell him your symptoms.
If you live in Ontario Canada call TeleHealth and they can assess you on the phone and determine if you need a dr.

Same as "going under", its a term for the feeling generally new smokers get or when you smoke too much, its the way your body reacts, even an experianced smoker can pull a whitey.

You tend to go white (hence the name) and get anxious, you seem to think loads of mad shit and if you don't know how to control it (because your new) or it takes you by suprise it can be very nasty.

I believe everyone has pulled a whitey, most people connect it to being sick, but ive never been sick from weed, just felt sick from pulling a whitey.

yea iv gone under once and that was cuz i smoked waaaay to smoke dro and drank waay to much Vodka.

URI is an upper respiratory infection....I was thinking along the same lines except I thought it sounded like the start of an asthma attack...Funky M is right...talk to a doctor...BE SAFE
