POLICE in my driveway!!!

Well....I was sitting home watching TV and glaced over to look out the window. I see 2 cops walking in front of my yard on the road. One was uniform and the other was in a suit with a badge on his belt. I jumped up and started to spray deoderizer everywhere. As I sprayed i looked down the side of my house and there was 4 cop cars and like 7 cops in my driveway. They were hanging out talking. THATS WHEN I FREAKED OUT!!! I was SURROUNDED. I ran downstairs and turned my lights and fans off. I was going to pull them, but they stink soooo bad when you touch them wrong. I WAS SWEATING BULLETS. I ripped off my shirt(WAKE AND BAKE) printed on it. NOT COOL. I changed shirts and was going to find out what was going on......and they were GONE. Whats the F*** was that all about? Do you think they brought K-9 with them to check me out???

If they brought the K-9 with you wouldn't be at home right now. Just say close call!!! :D

You dont think the cabon filters would mask the smell enough to fool the dogs outside in driveway? Dont the cops need a warrant to let the dogs smell around on my property?

I do. I think carbon scrubbers work as well as ozone generators. I have both and have found the carbon works just fine and is a lot cheeper. You can run a carbon scrubber inside the room to clean the air in the grow area. You can't do that with ozone.

To be honest I have a closed room with A/C so the only odor is from the door opening or when I need to change out the air in the room after a Co²cycle. I do run 2 carbon scrubbers one on the exhaust in the roof and another one stand aloned that runs 24/7 and cleans the air in the room.

I don't think they do. The laws only protect you from them searching somewhere where you have "legitimate expectation of privacy." Your yard, anything visible in your car, your garbage, can all be searched without a warrant, and anything they find could give resonable cause for a search of your home.

NO...they had the house surrounded. they were in the driveway and 2 others opposite side of yard. I was waiting for them to bust inside while I thought of a million excuses to throw at them as to why I have 2 grows going. Then they just left. It was very strange and my heart cant take another one. I think I had a mild stroke that day.

maybe they were gnna raid u but someone rang up about a muslim stuck up a tree and they thought it was a terror threat so rushed to him instead of raiding u .....

Just because theyve gone for now doesn't mean theyre gonna stay away.

They cud simply be waiting for a search warrant? checking out the place beforehand?

Any number of possibilities but To be honest, I'm very worriedthat you may be very far from being in the clear.

Who knows, cudda imagined it, they coulda been lookin for sumthin, coulda been nuthin to do with you, you'll have no idea unless they come for you.

And I really, sincerely hope they fuckin don't.

Personally, I would be a bit worried, but I wouldn't think much about it at all, though. I'd make sure my plants are completely out of sight (if at all possible, might want to think about re-locating them for a bit) and that the smell is gone.
Then, I wouldn't give one FUCK one those pigs do. I'd wear my Wake and Bake shirt (actually, mine is Always Ready to Bake with that talking dough character on it, dough boy?) and tell them to gget out my house.

If it was some sort of investation, you'd think there would be just one or two cops and it would be pretty low key. With so many cars and cops, you'd think it was a raid.

Maybe that's their way of saying "we know what you're doing.......stop it or you'll get busted". Who knows. I'd be crapping my pants and having that place pot free for the next year. I'd move for sure if I were renting. I'm a pretty paranoid person though.

I'd recommend moving your grow-op to a new location. from what I've heard, it sounds like they were ready to raid your house and the guy in a suit with a badge was a detective, whom would have higher authority, calling it off last minute because they weren't ready because of such and such.

i'd say what mrdevious said is the second most likley possibility...that shyt is just fucked and no way would all those cops be there gathered around except for one other reason....something big went down next door (cops around here never actually park infront of the house where what's going down got them out there, same with standing around...) dude i'd seriously consider getting rid of everything even if it means trashing and throwin out 1000's of dollars worth the equipment and months of hard work.....cuz serious growing also means serious jail time.....and should they come back (which you should expect them back in less than a week if they are there for you) and you go to jail you will be kicking yourself for the next 20 or so years for not playing it safe....i know it'd be hard to do something like that but i've had to do it multiple times, always remember this...better safe than sorry and always ALWAYS trust your instincts.....(not your paranioa) think back on that day and recall anything you can that would offer an explination for them being there....because cops do not gather like that for nothing unless it's a shipleys or burger king...

i'd do everything in my power to relocate, cause it would be a damn shame to lose 2 plants. but then again, it would be a damn shame to spend all that time in jail, so losing them seems alot better than having to worry about holding onto the soap.

personally i'd trash everything. Playin on the safe side, even if they weren't for you, seems much more justifyiable than spending time in a fuckin cell.

I agree, that idea is pretty good. Take the safe way out and save your equipment. :)

Move your plants, replace with tomatoes. Go to the police station sober, or phone them up, and ask what all the police around your house was about. Make sure you get rid of all evidence before talking to the police. Find out what was going on. If they don't tell you anything, you were about to be raided.

Either that, or they had the wrong address. :-P

They may have been setting up shop in your driveway to raid another house in your neighborhood.

Have you done anything to draw attention to yourself? Two plants isn't really a big deal, so I don't understand why they would need 10 cops to raid your house for that amount.

I'd bet they were just fucking around. or maybe a cop lives next door that you dont know about or fuck they mighta been congregating for an orgy who knows?
