So I dug it out and took it home, obviously. But I don't have a 'green thumb' and I wasn't good at getting all the taproots. And then it started to wilt, and die. And there growing where there is alot of rocks. So what's the best way of digging them up outside????

Why? It can grow various places naturally. How I mentioned it, the roots don't sound like weed?
I dont belive it grows anywhare in the US naturally. There are some plant that look like weed but arn't really weed. post a pic if you really want to know.
There's a chance you dug up some guy's pot, which is kinda fucked up to do, but kinda his own damn fault for being dumb enough to let his stuff get found. In the wild, it's nearly impossible to perform a good transfer with cannabis. The roots grow extremely deep, they're used to being outside, and they're used to the natural sunlight. By some seeds online for $30 and don't fight a system that's not really in your favor.
It would be funny if he did pick someones crop up and it wasn't even budding. Such a waste.
Sorry i can't help ya fourTwentyam.. you must be finding more out there than would ever be naturaly possible ..i'm not saying you are, but if so be careful dont let anyone catch you stealing their weed, this could be a dangerous undertaking! peeps get very upset, with the time and attention they give their Ladies! If i were you i'd put my shovel away and plant your own seeds this will also be benificial to you knowing what your growing!

lets face it nobody likes a weed thief,in fact we all hate them but if your out for a nice walk on a summers day and you stumble upon a couple of beautifull mature ladies and there practically calling your name and there wearing that lovely perfume you like the smell of then its very hard not to harvest them mother fuckers there and then and smoke it
Slim ... good idea.. if you find a plant the best thing is to clone it.... and leave the rest for whomever it belongs too.. I too have run into plants in the wild.. clearly they did not belong to anyone.. they were pathetic.... super gangly.. but it was cool seeing them... they were not hidden at all... i just left them alone..
I would snip some for cloning too lol, but I have been ripped off before and i dont how, They were hidden pretty good if these plants were out in the open in rocks,hell maybe they dont belong to anyone, simply someone may have spilled a bag of weed

stuff that looks like weed in ways but isn't is called rabbit tobacco...it's wild, it can even smell like pot when it burns (despite the fact that it's just leaves)...i guess rabbits eat it for some reason because of the name...and it can buzz you, but it's nothing like marijuana...it's just a bunch of chemicals, oxygen and co2 reserves, etc. that you feel from it if you smoke it...it's in all woody areas of the eastern US....but i don't know about other places...this is just country knowledge too, nothing scientific, i couldn't give you a name of a specific plant, there's a few of them that resemble marijuana...but they look thin and shitty and just leaves, usually in sets of 1 or 3, unlike the 7 or 9 of mj...
oh yeah, if it is real, then there's probably a 99.9% chance that someone planted them there, purposely or accidentally, unless you're in an area with indigenous strains, which isn't in the US, what naturally can grow in the US i'm sure has been destroyed for the most part...and if it's growing naturally, it can't just be one or two plants, they would be growing in larger quantities by now...if they're natural and have slipped by the airplanes and shit, they would have probably breeded by now and made larger areas of pot, which means they are more easily detectable...which means they probably would have been destroyed anyways...

look im new to this family but i know what im talkin about. turborunner weed can grow anywhere. marajuana is a weed so it grows as easily as your regular anoing household weeds.
marijuana only grows where it's been spread by another plant, 2 other plants to be exact, a male and a female...and there's only certain patches of land in certain places where it's growing like that, there has to be a high population of it and of different strains for it to keep growing regularly....just like you can't have one mom and dad human that can keep the human race going, it takes many different males and females of many different origins, if one male and female kept trying to breed new generations with just their own kids, then it would be like incest, and the mutations would eventually get so bad that they wouldn't survive as a breed....in other words, you'd see other weed plants around, older than those, for many square yards, if it were an indigenous strain...if there's one or two or three by themselves then someone planted them, and that will be the breeding grounds for many generations of mutated, incested plants in the future
Me and my boy found grow to the other day it wasnt somelses t looked someone took a hand full of seeds and just threw them any where. We tried to move some of it to my house but hey died so yea we got the same problem. Sry man if u van help me then give me a holla.

lest we forget..many different native amercian groups that were nomadic found it all over..also in the northeast (pa, ohio, indiana) hemp was massivly cultivated during the civil war and as a result there are viable strains growing in the wild..when I lived in Indiana we called it ditch weed..certainly not high test but definetly the real deal..just needs to be a lady not the dude...
