Hey, I bumped my scale today and now it doesn't measure right!
My Scale
My scale isn't expensive or anything (bought it at my local headshop for $40 Canadian taxes in) but I'd rather not have to buy another.
So what I'm asking is when you bump your scale and it throws the readings off, is it fixable? Will simply recalobrating the scale set everything back to normal? I'm asking because I don't have a 100g weight to recalobrate it and I'd rather not have to buy one but if it'll fix it then sure.
Recalibrating it should fix it...
Hmm... does your scale have a "re-zero" or "tare weight" feature? Did you try pushing it? Did it work?

Usually the store you bought it from will re-calibrate it.Get the directions manual out.You usually have to press 2 buttons down at once to get it to calibration mode.If you do not have something that weghs 100grams,improvise.Grab a bunch of nickels,as they weigh 5g's and put 100grams worth on the scale.
Make sure to get all the fucking weed out if you take it to a store though...
I was about to say... broken 'cuz of chunks of weed in it, so send it back to the company to get it fixed? Not the smartest....
...i really doubt the company would call the police or any authoirty on someone for having like scraps of weed in a scale....i mean that is like so highly unlikely it would almost be unheard of but i'm sure it's happened before and iwouldn't takethe chance...and fukin stupid space bar....anyone ever got so pissed at their computer they smashed it on their head and broke one or several keys?

one time i was nodding out real hard on methadones and on one of the nods i hit my head on the keyboard..and my head probably touched the spacebar..does that count?
how much would you say a cheap accurate scale would be canadian at a head shop
A nickle is not exactly 5 g's it's about 4.7
Is there anything else around the house that is exactly a certain weight that I could use, or use of a number of them to calibrate my scale??Quote:

Anyway, this calibration failed, so I tried using 20 nickels and 2 dimes, just to up the weight a bit hoping to get it closer to 100g's and pass the calibration test. This also failed. So apparantly I need exactly, or amazingly close to 100g's of weight to calibrate.
Does anybody know any combination of coins to hit 100g's exactly?? :P
well go get new nickels then...probably some of the nickels you were using have been worn down and their weight has been compromised because of it....
