Classical music because its the most thought-provoking
metal. and mellow, it was 3 minutes :)
born into the blues. raised on jazz.
Hip-Hop for me, I love dancing and it has the best dance beat around. I like all types of music, inculding country, rock, top 40's, but mostly listen to the hip-hop stations, and buy hip-hop music.
I like all kinds of music....rock especially.....rap when Im getting high.....but never ever country!
all music literally, but when im stoned i prefer classic rock and reggae.
Rock and Reggae man.
Classical Rock, Acid Rock, Progressive, Euro-house, Modern Rock, Soft Rock, Metal, Reggae, Rap, Hip-hop, horror-core rap, Alternative, Ambient, Trance, Classical...a few favorite genres of mine.
oh, and i didnt included emo coz EMO SUCKS!!!!
DEATH TO ALL EMOS!!!!
I <3 emo, and when I say emo, I mean actual emo, not shit people call emo.
Real Emo: Planes Mistaken for Stars/Hot Cross/The Kite-Flying Society/Saetia
Metal!!!!! The best kind of music.
Metal/Classic & Psychedelic Rock/Jungle d'n'b/and some rap.
indie rock.
rock and reggea
Punk and Metal. Peace
Whatever speaks to the youth in society. For me it's been .....
70's: Rock (stones, zepplin, who ....)
80's: New Wave/Punk (ramones, sex pistols, patti smith ....)
90's: Goth (Manson)
00's: Rap (Nas, Geto Boys, ludascris, nore, .....)
yo fuck that shit yall gotta get some fitty

but i don't like manson much, i like misfits and nirvana for 90's
I appreciate most styles of music but don't connect with rap, rock or metal. I listened to metal when I was younger but don't really dig music that relies on image or cult following much nowadays.
Right now I totally love drum 'n' bass, and for the production value, not the fact it messes your head up when your on class-A drugs (as is the culture nowadays). I hate how people diss it down, especially for being 'talentless'. It's the most sophisticated form of prog. dance you can get. Any retard can pull a dance or trance tune out of their arse but to produce a succesful piece of DnB takes effort and commitment. Anyone who says otherwise knows jack about music production.
Not that i'm an expert, that's just how I feel :D . I also love blues, funk, reggae, trip-hop, a bit of soul, jazz, a bit of hip-hop and breakbeat!
Music rules, YEAH!!
^^^^Not trying to start a little war with ya man, but how can you say you don't like metal becasue it relies on an image, yet you say you like hip-hop. I dont' think you can find another style of music thats as obsessed with having a hardass image as rap is. I just found that kind of akward.
But I agree, lol, music does rule.
Classic Rock.
new age is the shit.
I like to listen to power metal when i'm getting high. Bands like Sonata Arctica and Helloween are good to listen to when you're blazed. Not all there songs are good, but the ones that are are very good.
No probs, I anticipated it.Quote:

Hiphop doesn't so much rely on a hard image as generalise a whole urban culture from back in the day. I'd love to give examples but i'm not that hot on the subject :D . Rap artists like Eminem, 50-cent, Xzibit, etc need music videos of themselves with fat-ass hoes and lots of bling to attract an audience. All I see are a bunch of clowns who failed high-school :p .
Not to offend anyone, that's my personal taste. Each his own aye?
Aye :)
Horrorcore/Wickedshit/Death metal are my top 3 fave. I like a lot of musick. Mostly underground though
I listen to a mix of musics; rap, alternative rock like AFI, reggae, techno, and listening to Quran is beautiful although i cant understand much Arabic :D
McCauley Caulkin enjoys all kinds of music, as long as it has meaning behind it and is real, meaning nothing manufactured by some superstar producer who is only trying to appeal to the masses and sell millions of records.
McCauley Caulkin mostly likes raggae(eek a mouse), ska(sublime), rock(incubus), and some rap(common)
the blues are the roots... everything else is the fruit. If you've never heard of Robert Johnson, Muddy Water, Catfish Johnson, Son House.. oh i could go on forever, you haven't heard real music. And after the blues I'd say classic rock, alman bros, ccr, crosby stills nash young, beatles. Sublime and Bob kick ass... EMO AND METAL SUCK BIG JUICY BALLS...
Metal is fuckin wicked is chill to when your wazzed, but i like alot of rock and shit.
I pretty much listen to everything.
My favourite???
Depends on the day, the mood, the smoke, the weather, the company, the moment :p
From 70's punk to current dance, lots from before and tons inbetween;
Virgin Prunes / PiL / Siouxsie / Clash / Stranglers
Led Zeplin / Floyd / Cream / Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young / Deep purple
Rory Gallagher / Lou Reed / Talking Heads / Joy Division / David Bowie
Faithless / Massive Attack / Prodigy
Badly Drawn Boy / Damien Rice / Elvis Costello
Many more, waaay too many to try to list......
only one ska fan? disappointing.
drum'n'bass is probably my favourite but i like everything from chillout to rock music (as long as its not commercial)
Arabic is a really beautiful and poetic language, so is Farsi and Urdu. English and german are probably the least "musical" of the Western languages. Italian has been the favored language to set to music for centuries.Quote:

I have a huge variety of music in my collection, from Mozart to Metallica. Classic rock, metal, blues, reggae, jam bands, jazz, etc. I just can't get into rap or hip-hop though. To me the music has to be good. In other words, if you take out the lyrics, do you still want to listen to it?
