I wish marijuana was legal

I really dont see why its not legal, i mean its only a plant. Yea yea i know it slows reflexes and reaction times and all that...but ALCOHOL is legal. I gaurentee if you smoke a whole quearter to yourself you wouldnt be half as fucked up as you would on a pint of Jack D. And if you did smoke a whole quarter to yourself and you had to drive home, you would probably make it without an accident, probably piss some peple off...but hey. Jack D, if you had to drive home i gaurentee you would wreck something or kill something. You know what else pisses me off? Those truth comercials, they make it seem like if you smoke weed you will never be sucessful at anything and no one will like you. My dad has been smoking for more than 15 years and he runs his own succesfull hot rod/restoration business. Just makes me mad....

Its really quite retarded. It all revolves around politics, and politics are ran by lobbyists, whom only care about making money. That is why alcohol and tobacco is legal, it is a HUGE business, so its practically impossible for both to be banned, simply because it is so huge and so wealthy. Regretfully, marijuana isnt legal, and probably wont be legal until almost all republicans are removed from office, which wont happen. A lot of democrats are attempting to legalize marijuana, at least for medicinal use, but still republicans protest and whine, mainly due to their religious beliefs, and their love for money! There is no deaths caused solely by marijuana, yet alcohol and cigarettes make up more than 3/4 of deaths. Republicans were the first to ban marijuana, and they continue to urge the public that marijuana will "ruin your life", which has been proven over and over to be complete BS. So if you can vote, vote democrat! On the contrary, not ALL democrats are good candidates, and not ALL republicans are pieces of shit, it is up to you to decide who you feel would be a good candidate!

I aplaud all of you people. None of you said the basic stupid stoner comment of, it comes from the ground man, how can it be ilegal. To combat that question, i often pose the question, How can you put a price on nature? In my opinion, it being ilegal helps, becuase i know if i could get it when ever i wanted to, i would go crazy. Yeah, the laws are too stricts, but i'm not going to change them, and i figure that if i leave my house on foot, walk out to the woods, and toke up, no one will stop or fuck with me, and if i can smoke in peace, then i don't think we need to change the system. Besides, all those fucking mother who are part of MADD and the soccer moms would probally freak out and actually start fucking with MJ users if it was legal, because, atleast for myself, i wouldn't conceal it as much. I would sure as hell light up in a seme-public place

Its true, marijuana should be legal like Amsterdam :rolleyes: but in Quebec where i live even if its not legalized in my neighburhood cops aren't really severe so I never had problems with cops becuz of good old MJ and many ppl grow weed here and never get caught so i guess that anyone who wants to do anything illegal can do it but NEVER GET CAUGHT

I'm not particularly bothered that it's illegal, i've never once in my life even spoken to a bobby on the beat. It's the tax that gets me down. The reason draw is so much cheaper in places where it's decriminalised like Amsterdam is because there is a minimal risk involved.

Compare £6 for an 8th with £20. That's a hell of a lot of 'risk tax'.

nah not necessarily. that's the reason it's illegal in the first place. there's so much weed and it grows in such abundance that it's impossible to price it too highly because thered be little "demand" for it.

See by keeping it illegal the price is tripled even quadrupled in some places. Then the DEA comes in and arrests you. They then use your drug money after getting clearance or just taking it to buy shit for themselves like guns and boats and shit. Then when they throw you in jail they let you work for 20 cents an hour. not much but with more than a million people locked up thats a lot of revenue and cheap labour.

Well first off, let me say that im anti-legalization, even though im a stoner. there seems to be some very weak arguments. First off, pple are saying that "if alcohol is legal, then y isnt mj?" well the main reasoning behind this is that there are a lot of people who drink because of the flavor. many people dont drink to get drunk. you can't say that you smoke purely because of the flavor, i mean its great, but you cant say you dont smoke to get stoned. second with legalizing it, it would be too much of a hastle with the government setting up and passing laws with people who are driving while they are stoned. however much you want to argue, it does impare your driving. this leads into how much you can smoke before driving, somehow finding a way to test someone whos been pulled over for suspected intoxication, ect. also, think of the public view who are opposed marijuana. imagine walking through a park with your 12 year old kids and seeing some messed up guy taking a hit from a bowl, and then sitting there laughing his ass off. i dont think that you would want your children seeing that. i think that it should be best being illeagal, so now that people are very cautious, and smoking in privacy. i also think that the laws are very harsh, but i think that its is necessary to keep marajuana out of public. also on another note, i enjoy beer very much, and if you dont like hangovers, then dont drink so much :b
