Illinois does not test for uric acid so Quick Fix will work there. As for your question about how will you know when Illinois states testing for Uric Acid, I don't have an answer for you.. As soon as we find out we'll spread the word.Quote:

I have not tried using QF yet. I will if I cannot get the "real thing". Please post your results. Good Luck.
polski and tenbongs, I need to take the test at labcorp, did either of you pass? Were you patted down/frisked?
Thanks!
Joe
The topic of frisking/touching has been addressed and answered dozens of times throughout the DT forum. Make use of the Search button with the terms "frisk touch groping donor". You'll have your answer then.Quote:

It doesnt need to. The law applies to all DHHS-certified labs practicing in the US (in which LabCorp is).Quote:

tenbongs, can you tell me your method for keeping the temperature?
I have the whizzinator, and a Fieldpiece digital thermometer (HVAC tool). I am pretty new to subbing, only once in real life, but I have done many, many practice drills. I warm the sample to about 85 with running tap water over the bottle, then I inject into the whizz and use 1 regular size Grabber Hand Warmer (I use these because I can easily get the same ones and are on sale a lot, but point is using the same heat pads all of the time - we call this a controlled experiment). I strap on the whizz and I give it about 2 hours to come up, I could shave some time, but this is what worked). If I wear the "whizz" against my bare skin with one pair of cotton boxer briefs (the same pair for each test), I get a temp of around 99, immediately after entering the cup. I saw the strip on the cup at my test at Cadence read 94 a minute or so after. I have done some testing with a 3 oz. bottle and heat pad, but it gets a bit too hot, right now - still working on it with a bottle, next test will be sandwiched between 2 pairs underwear. I also tested the temperature of my own, to see how close to my body temp I was getting, usually around 96.5, immediately after voiding about 3 oz. I bought a pack of hand warmers (10 pairs or 20 warmers) for $5.00 at Farm and Fleet, and found some really good 3 oz. empty travel bottles at Walgreen's (saw them on their web page) for $6.00 for 4 bottles with caps. I cannot over-emphasize PRACTICE, and try eliminate variables if possible. Best of luck to you.
