first time grower :) and im growing under hps 400 watt :) pic!! 100% organic

hey ppl i have decided to make a grow log :) for my first grow ever :) you can forlow me here :D and plz give some tips if you have some for a noobie like me :) im trying to learn all the good stuff i can :D for my grow. it seems i cant get the top away from my bulb :/ on 1 of my plants if you guys have a tip to that they are 17 days in to flowering :D and i can start see the buds form :D i hope they wil get big :D on the 10 day in flower one of the plants showed the buds :) im imprest of my self :) how hard can i go on the nut in flowering :D

They are looking good to me - although i'm new in all this too! :)

One thing I'm working on is letting light get to all the bud sites. Tuck your fan leaves under the buds so they can get light - the more each bud gets, the better you get! :)

Mine are a few days behind yours, but are looking similar with the bud sizes. It looks good to me - nice and healthy looking IMO.

Hey Newgrow! Looking great! You gotta good grow buddy in Buggy, but don't let her scare you, she likes a challange & she might go all scientific on you! I'm just messing with her head, she knows we love her! But it's fun to learn together. She's doing a cool experiment trying to change male plants female, you might want to follow that for fun. Check out her thread. We've been talking ethylene gas & hormones for inducing feminism in cannabis. You should definitely check that out. Cheaper than buying feminized seeds.

i think i got a big problem it looks like they plants are mail/femail's wtf the both are mail/femail can this really be true ? and do i need to just kill them then or will it be fine when its still a haf femail haf mail ? its my first time ever growing and i can see balls and 2 hair's on both plants are the femail a ball with 2 hair's growing our of it or is it a mail then :/ now im really worried :(

Its called hermaphrodite, both male & female. Will still stone you, but will bw seedy. Ths pollen from hermies are used to make fem seeds. Save some, (sm air tight jar, etc.) Keep in freezer to hand pollinate next crop. Stress often causes hermies. I hate to evaluate plants from pics on this cell ph because its just too sm to see well, but plants appear very dark & curled along leaf edges. They look to have been slightly underwatered for a while & a tad to close to light. Not underwatered enough to wilt the whole plant, & not so close to the light to actually burn, but just enough (of both conditions) to stress the plants, which leeds to hermies. You need someone with a larger screen than mine to evaluate the plants appearance to make sure I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing. But untill you can get someone else to have a look, raise the lights a little & spray mist with water occasionally, water just a little more often, but not by much. I'll see if I can get one of the guys to hop to your post & get a better look at your pics.~~~~~~~PEACE!~~~~~~~~

the photo is not clear to me either. It appears to be out of focus and not enough light. I can't make out much except that there is the top of a plant, some pistils and some silver flexible air duct.

It sounds like you are describing a normal female flower.

Post a close up of those flowers and we'll tell for sure.
That pod with the 2 "hairs" on your plant's stalk is a female pre-flower.

Shovel, did you look at post #7? Its a little easier to see than #10. Newgrow, a hermie is considered to be female with both sex parts. Sometimes you can correct the problem causing the stress & it will revert to female. If all you have are hermies I wouldn't kill them. Still good smoke, just full of seeds. We new growers can jump to conclusions quite easily, can't we? :)

I waffled between whether I had nutrient lock-out or over-fert at one point, so I just flushed and started over. From my LAST flush a week ago, my plants are still REALLY damp so they'll likely go at least another week before more water - we'll see. I also forgot to check them one day and one grew enough to touch the lights and burn!

Your girls look good and healthy - just keep them happy with light, water, and food and you'll be fine. :) Love seeing the progress!

hey guys they have ben in flowering in over a month now and i dont know whats going on some of the pistols are starting to turn color to a orange / amber color i think do the bud turn color while they are growing i did think they was only white pistols on all the grow time and then when havest and and drying they turned color ? pleas tel me guys i need some help here :)

Don't sweat it. That's normal. It just means the pistol is past being receptive to pollen for reproduction. You probably have 2-4 wks to go, maybe a little more. What you will need to look at is the trichromes. They will go from clear to milky to amber. You don't want too much amber, at this point the THC starts to degrade. You're doing fine & you have a little while to go yet.~~~PEACE~~~

i dont know how i dont have a loop to look at the trichromes :/ and i dont think the bud's are that big at all :( i did think mabey a month more and then harvest them

when should i stop feeding it then a week before harvest time or? i have some thing for the week's up to the harvest time but i dont know what it is or what it do ? here are the name on the fertalizer that im talking about its called (Ripen)(late flowering nutrient) 0-6-5 when do i start feeding them only that ? :) 2 week's before harvest time or ?

Once the trics start plumping up, you may be able to see them with the naked eye, if not, loops can be found cheap at camera stores, or even a magnifying glass from some place like walmarts. The next time I go to Harbor Freight, I'm getting a hand held microscope, but hell, I'm almost 60 & I can't see shit! LOL!
----OK, figure about 8wks to finish from the time you put them in 12/12. That's only an average. It varies.

I'd start anywhere from now, till about another wk. I haven't tried Ripen, but I like the NPK. Is it chem or organic? About 2 wks from harvest, stop feeding & go to plain water. Guess you know nutes give your bud a metalic taste.

it should be organic 100% :) they gave me it as a gift when i shoped my light and vent and made a paper with a letter to me while they ware given me all kind of help tips and said they have throwing some 100% organic nutrents in to me :)

Look good to me, although they may be a little dark from too much N? Not sure. It's hard to tell for me since I'm new too! :)

Ok, Looking through a list of nute problems with pics provided, along with the pics of the very tips of the leaves going yellow.... P, magnesium, zinc are my possible ideas. The VERY start of one of those. Don't really know, but it's something to check.

All looks good otherwise - LOVE those large buds!

hey thanks for the info :) im looking in to this :) but i have a bit of a problem, i dont know 100% if it is a problem but on the top cola their is started to turn yellow lef's around the bud i think it was a burn from the other day it was a rely hot day :/

Its mostly nitrogen that make them taste metalic. Some people have a more sensitive taste to this than others. I've known people who say they can't taste it at all when I can. Your grow lights are hiding the true color of the plants, so I can't tell by the pics, but as the bud matures, its normal for the big sun leaves to yellow & then start dropping. If everything else seems ok, then this is most likely part of the natural process~~~ PEACE! ~~~

hey I was nervous but now that it is down and I have seen the cola I am very happy with the result ye im fealing better now ^ ^


i will give the 2 plants a week or 2 more and then chop them down to :) can i make keeff of the leaf's ? and if i can how can i do it without dry ice becors i cant get near dry ice in my contry

if you guys know some methods pleas hook me up :) for making butter/keeff :thumbsup:
