I am a beginner in growing, and I do not have a microscope, so I would like to know if someone could tell by these photos whether it is time to harvest my plants?

Hey sorry no one has had time to try an help you. I'm not much help either although I did read a lot on here cause I'm doing my first grow too on here but mine are jus three days ole out the ground any away back to your answer from looking at your pics I see your pistils are turning colors from white to toasty gold or brown so that mean your plant is at its peak for thc don't wait till all the hairs or pistils turn red or brown cause then all the tch is start to degrade as the trichomes collapse an start to decomposQuote:

if you dont have a strong enough magnifying glass to see the trichomes like you need to
then go by the white to brown (hairs) ratio i think its like 70 to 80 percent brown hairs
but buying a magnifying glass is the best thing you can do
and the trichomes will turn a amber color and start to hunch over and thats when its time to harvest
and wow on the grow its looking not to bad considering the low level of light!!!!!!!
So my advice would be search read and make up your own mind, pix are good but your there!!!
Also a certain smiling box website sales service sales a 420 scope 60-100x for $15 each, just websearch...
Thank you all for your advice, I will wait another few days before the harvest.

IMHO you will want to wait a bit. There are loads of white still and the buds will fatten as they mature. A microscope is a great tool to have and can be bought for only $12.99 at RADIO SHACK. When to harvest is a debate about percent of amber trichomes. Some prefer lower percent of amber for a headier feel, more amber for that heavy stoned effect. Read up on percentages of amber trichs and get a microscope. It is the best $12.99 you will spend on your grow
Thank you,Quote:

not quite ready yet. Looking real good though!
Possibly another week? Personally like 'em well done giving me more CBD's in the colitas.
To each his or her own... But I'm thinking that in another week there will still be plenty clear trichomes and few ambers. Most of my friends and I like a more active buzz so I try and pick with mostly cloudy trics and don't wait for them to amber up. My last crop is plenty stoney and I have quite a bit left to smoke. Looking for a heady buzz this round.
Wow looking tasty!
How long you leave it depends on what you like from your bud. Harvesting with lots of milky white trichs give you a more active high- lots of whizzing thoughts, giggles etc whereas more amber ones will give you a more couch potato high.
The longer you leave it the more that will begin to turn amber.
Everyone keeps stating "microscope," may want to look for a "jeweler's loop." 25X is okay, 40x is good... spend a little more and get even more detail.
As so many have stated, when to pick due to color of trichs is up to you. Extremes, sativa that is mostly white vs indica that is mostly amber. Try growing indica and harvest when it is still mostly white.
