What to do with post harvest wastes?
What do you do with your fanleaves, stems, rootballs and expired grow media after harvest? We are trying to create a recycled waste program for the MMJ community and wonder if growers would be willing to support a low cost solution to their leftovers. Would you pay to have wastes hauled off? Are you concerned about the States requiring you to mix it with garbage or plastic to render it unusable? We want your input as we explore this business idea to turn pot n2 pot

I put my garden rubbish in the provided green bin and the bin men take it.
Would never pay anyone to collect my rubbish/trim/left overs.
From the UK where this isnt a problem for anyone. ATB

Yup***** Recycle to Your Bin! Farmers do not dump their stalks, soil, leaves etc. recycle into a compost pile!

People really compost their leaves? Why wouldn't you make hash or edibles? Or sell/give them to someone to make hash? Seems sad to waste all that thc. I get the stalks, etc. though I recently learned that the root balls can be used to make lotion or something like that? I didn't know that until recently and I lost the phone number of the woman that I talked about it with. What we need is a company that collects all that stuff, pays you for it and passes it on to people who can use it to make things. Right?

Well yea, that too. It's all good any way you look at it!

I have used trim in the past for edibles but no more. Bud is cured and smoked. Everything else is composted. If I want edibles I use bud. Must be nice, huh? <g> I don't smoke that much and 'eat' even less anymore.

Hate being a pot teacher(preacher), but setting your remains next to the street is advertising a little to much.
Bud for me to, it's so sad about your condition(not smoking much) when you have so much to try.
Do have a ranger that has a new separator system, wants all leaves stem and trim. When the plant gets real frosty, I quess the concentrate really goes up.
What to do with post harvest wastes?
well trim i use but fans, stems, main stalk, roots old soil all goes out to the heap. i know some people use fans to make bubblehash and oil but if you ever got a good look
at the surface youd notice there are more trichs on the stems than there are on fan leaves and that aint sayin much.

Will say I do the same, but if some wants on share, I trade. Just saying your new avitar, just looks like sparkle on all leaves I see. It reminds me of my diesel cross, where my Canadian med shows very little outside the trim zone.

 Ski high - is that dangerous?
Seriously, I believe that old school farming may save the planet, the meek may inherit the earth.
What to do with post harvest wastes?
Yup...I definitely believe in growing the green green :weedpoke:
Is that dangerous??? Hmmm...... It's worked once...
Might try it again....Ya just never know!;)
What to do with post harvest wastes?
well to be honest. i might pay someone to remove my waste.. if it was going to a good cause and if i could afford it. but all in all i would try to find a solution of ridding my waste myself.. probably in a burn pile or something lol.. knowing my burnt out self :hippy:

I throw my stems and roots in the river, (stoned fish are easier to catch!) and the fan leaves I use to make bubble hash, butter and hash oil. My grow bro and I just made 11.5 g of nice hash from a few ozs of trimmins...jus sayin...some of ya'll are throwing away a lot of buzz! boo hiss!
