Leaves dieing during flowering???
Is it normal for my leafs to be drying out and dieing during flowering? Ive looked around some say yes some say no...here are some pictures now, seem a couple have fell over the last 2-3 days. Getting to much nutes? Not enough? I do the 3 part flora series and am going by the dosing on the bottle. Also have been using the liquid koolbloom (just started using that the last 2 nute changes) Im going to change out my nutes here in a minute and add some hygrozyme this run. Any help would be great thanks!!!
P.S. ive noticed its only mainly on the lower leafs.

More info....temps in room?..how often are you watering?... lights?...pH.?
Leaves dieing during flowering???
temps are between 65-75, its a dwc setup I change the nutes weekly, using a 432 watt LED and 8 CFLS for bloom. Don''t know the numbers for ph as I use the liquid test kit but it usually stays yellow/orangish. I haven't had any problems lately even though I know most say to keep the ph on the yellow side, but its remained orange mostly during whole plants life. Just noticed recently the leafs are starting to fall. I wont lie this last week and a half I slacked on checking the ph might be the issue not 100% sure. I need to get a ph pen to make my life easier, been going through alot of stuff lately. Can that be due to ph?

you sure the roots are getting enough o2? no clogged stones etc? looks like nute burn but not burning just dried out maybe ease up on the nutes a lil?
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Just changed out the water, the stones arent blowing as hard as they were but there are still a good bit of bubbles. On the big plant I have 2 airstones, the other plant seems to be doing fine seems the normal yellowing/dieing phase. This time I went by the chart for the nutrients instead of going by the bottles. I noticed the chart differs quite a bit from the bottle dosage. Will see how it goes, also checked the ph and it was perfectly yellow. Guess a good thing about having well water in the country heh, hopefully wont see anymore of that will let yall know. Also added some hygrozyme this round.

Was going to say yellowing and loss of leaf normal for maturing, but those in picture worry me.their green but still try wilted. Almost a root problem? Wet feet?

Leaves dieing during flowering???
This looks like the begining stages of root rot to me. I'm on my 3rd RDWC grow and I've seen this once
Yank her up, look at the roots around the hydroton, and put them in your hand, see if they're squishy/slimy/brown
If they are, your gonna shock the piss out of her, but your gonna have to rinse her with CLEAN COLD WATER
If your really unlucky, your ognna have to trim those roots, stunting your cycle by a few weeks
If your even more unlucky than that, you might lose her
HOWEVER, she doesn't look that bad yet, looks like this is just taking off - The nute exchange you just did might clear this up, but for me, it was the tub of clean water and a vigorous cleaning that did the trick for me. Almost lost a perfect Big Bud because water temps got too high (thats another thing, check your water temps) The cooler the better, if your looking at temps in the high 70's or anywhere in the 80's, your going to have this problem alot, and a chiller will help
Hope this helps bro!

I check/feel the roots everytime I change the water. They are white...not slimey....dont smell. The temp is cool for the most part except the. 1 1/2 days when ac went out room was in the 80s. The only thing different ive done is with last nute change and this one since its hard to move I bought a brand new shampooer so I could suck all the water out then replace it with fresh water/nutes. It was really hard tryn to move it. Other then that nothing has changed. As I said I slacked on the ph readings the last week but hoping with a new solution change it stops. Could it be anything other then root rot? Also since they have been drinking more when I checked the res the water level was half full but the roots were still getting water and moist higher up. You said check the roots around the hydronton? You mean take it up around the base of the plant and look or inside the res? Am also about 2 months into flower. Thanks.

So I found a health store nearby (14 miles away) that carried 35% food grade h202. I hurry up and got there to get some before they closed was perfect timing heh. So what dosage would you guys recommend to help out if root rot is the problem? Thanks!!!
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Yeah, I mean check under the hydroton.
PH is a possibility, so is overfeeding, but I'd check the roots first. Then PH, if its overfeeding it will fix itself while its on the rinse cycle this week. I'm not completely sure the difference between food grade 202 and peroxide. I've always used peroxide, works wonders for me. Doesn't sound like an O2 problem, even if your stones were a little clogged, clearly there is enough air in the line.

Sorry I couldn't help more, but thats typically my goto move in this scenario

35% is only listed as/for food grade as far as I know, and is the same thing as normal peroxide just way stronger so you dont have to use as much and it lasts longer then normal houseshold (3% peroxide) from my understanding, if im wrong someone can correct me but most sites ive read said 35% does a better job, I just dont know being my first grow and first time using it any input would be greatly appreciated, but thanks alot man for your replies they have helped a lot!!!
P.S. Ill be checking under the hydronton and letting you know when lights are on, I got 3 1/2 hours to go, just need to know how much 35% h202 I should add to my res and if its safe to add with my current nutrients and the hygrozyme, thanks again.
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Ok I finally found the dosing after countless research its 8ml per gallon...next question is it safe to add the h202 straight to my res? Or should I mix it with some water first?
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Something else ive done that was different I just thought about was adding the liquid koolbloom, did it last res change and on the change I did this morning, other then that nothing else changed.
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Couple pictures of the roots, from what I seen the roots didnt look or feel slimey under the hydronton sry for sucky pictures. And the roots in the bucket didn't either. They are lil red/brownish from the micro, but they seem fine, I added about 15ml of h202 to see what happens. Gonna pick up some subculture B and sm-90 tomaro to be safe, can I use all these things together? My 3 part nutes, hygrozyme, 35% h202 and the 2 I just listed? But from the pictures I have what do yall think? What other things could be the cause for my issues? Will update after I see how the h202 does, thanks.

wait a few days to see the plants reaction
Leaves dieing during flowering???
You don't wanna use subculture and hygrozyme or oxide because they will counteract each other. Also believe the hygozyme has h202 in it so be careful if using microbes because they counter wasting $
Leaves dieing during flowering???
Ive noticed since the change my plants have smelled way more potent but seems still having a problem....roots like perfect im starting to wonder if there is a salt buildup? Maybe getting locked out or something....how exactly do I flush a dwc system...do I just pour clean eater through the top and let it drain? If so how much/how long? Can someone give me detailed info plz ive tried to research and some of the sites dont give you details....hoping after I flush it helps....thx
Leaves dieing during flowering???
So this morning I flushed both plants with about 8-10 gallons of water each, then replaced them with just water with some florakleen. That was at 9am this morning, im going to let them sit in that till tomorrow morning and then change it out with a nute solution. Should I go back to full strength nutes or half? Hopefully this clears up the problem. Though the buds are looking better and getting bigger by the day. The roots are still healthy and it seems to not be affecting the buds whatsoever. Im wondering if this happened due to a salt buildup? Is that possible for this type of thing to happen since today would be the first time I have flushed them? I changed nutes every week for the last few months without flushing, hoping my next grow will go alot smoother although this one has been pretty good up until that plant started having some leaf problems. My other plant is doing great none of these issues at all, just a very few lower leafs with spots due to nute burn. Also in the plant thats doing fine I bought that bucket and net pot from a hydro store, the one with issues I bought the bucket from walmart and cut a hole in the lid and put a regular flower pot (with about 15 holes drilled in it) in the center....maybe I dont have enough holes in it? If anybody sees anything that would cause my issues please let me know!!! Next grow im going to buy a net pot for the other bucket. But hopefully my first will be decent, im not expecting a ton but a oz or 2 be nice I have fingers crossed, will keep it updated, next time will start a grow log so I don't have to keep posting different topics, sorry about that, thanks for all the help so far guys!!!
