Skihigh-Three main types, Canadian medical, (Canadian x sour diesel)xhum.kush, very skinny leaf throwback. double hit the bong; once for me, please.
Da toker, check this out, started as y2k shelter, found better use when nothing happened.
very impressive!
If the shelter ever has to be used as shelter, you will only be able to keep half the plants. Maybe more if you are willing to leave family outside. :smokin:Quote:

New floor, New paint, moved some stuff around, cannot wait till heart heals some need to get back to work. Sump pump to keep dry, has worked hard several times.
Started as four tube 6"white plastic hydro system, but after two years went to dirt in 5 gallon buckets. Have since gone to one gallon sog like system, usually something to harvest and replace with veggers once a month.
Family and neighbors can still use the root cellar for those nasty tornadoes. Use to be five people knew where, now four. All in the family.
Have often thought, I should have gone with shipping container. Think would have been stronger, less wall bow.
Ever watch Doomsday Preppers on tv? Everyone buys the shipping containers and buries them, ventilates, adds some sort of water system, bathrooms, etc. Fun stuff but I doubt anyone could sanely live in one of those with any more than one other person for more than a few months max. Definitely very strong.Quote:

Wonder if an old septic tank could be converted???? Sewer just went in around here there are hundereds of them just sitting underground….hmmm...
Been there, done that. Mine was clean starting out. Small, very low ceiling for working, and cold, but was using flor because distances where so small. Why I went bigger.Quote:

Plus like I said, didn't work for me, I still wonder how you guys grow in very small area.

-- Budbro.... you made me laugh till it hurt! Your right on about the smell! Remember when I was a little kid. Dad & his friend had to dig (back hoe) ours up because it had ruptured. Nosey daddys girl that I was, I stood there till they got the ground opened up. Ran in the house crying! It smelled so bad it burned my eyes! Couldn't get the smell out of my nose for hours! Yep! Leave those bitches in the ground! Dead & burried! Hahaha! ;) ;) ;)
It had kinda died, but token asked a question, so I brought it back.
:eek::eek::eek::eek:You're not thinking of selling are you? That was a rhetorical statement, right? Sounds too perfect to think of leaving there! :(
Haha @ Budbro! Good points lol That's one way to booby trap a grow…...
Baby girl is in last semester of nursing school, moving to Colorado to do the midwife thing. Wants to be there at the beginning instead of the end. Mother thinks we should follow, or build on- thinks a dome would be cool. But Colorado would be cool to(or cold).
im trying to talk my lady to get out of nc but family ties hinder everything...
Boy they sure do! That's why I've gone to so much trouble, cause I love growing. Some have suggested I get out after my last deal, but even the wife thinks that would kill me.Quote:

hey range...i was reading some of your posts and saw you raise gold fish...do you have or have you ever done an AQUAPONIC setup...not for weed or anything but just in general? a family member is about to open an aquaponic shop and uses tilapia...its so awesome...wish i had my own house and greenhouse so i could do one....out of all my hobbies (flying motorcycles and all other adrenaline shit) growing is what my wife wishes id stick with the most...just had a good girlfriend get WRECKED (broke the ball off hip hip, shattered femur and arm...driver **her boyfriend...good buddy of mine**ended up passing away instantly) on a motorcycle, and with trying to have kids shes all like "time to grow up and get a hobby that cant kill you" ..... sad i know....off that tangent ive been looking into aquaponics/growing weed/ANYTHING as my replacement hobby...cause once a baby is here and im not in CO adios MJ in the house...
Budb -fish are too control mosquitoes in rainwater collection tanks, yea rainwater(they only get distilled water when I initially fill the clone machine) then it's rain water the rest of the way(no acid rain here yet). Used to be the guy that took care of the tap water for rural water district, to many state meetings about what you need to put in for me to use. Even hate to shower in it but do. All the rest is double filtered.
After reading and following thread I pointed out for you, really wanted to fill the swimming pool with plants but the higher authority around here said no, so I K.I.S.S. my way through most things. Lots of things I want to try though.
Ranger, I didn't know you grow SOG, 1 gal pots. For some reason, I thought you grew the big girls..?.. Must be those greenhouse pictures stuck in my head.
-- That would be a hard decision to make: go where its legal, or stay with the well established farm complete with under ground 'bunker'. Maybe move to the most southern point of Co, find a sm farm out in the boonies. Install another 'bunker' or two, made from shipping containers this time. Then grow your 6 'legal' plants in plain view, hide the rest & its business as usual. That would take a lot of hard work/money & time, then you would need to acclimate both yourself & your techniques to suit a new climate. Unless you became licensed to grow for the legal trade..... IMO, you seem too well rooted to transplant well. :)
-- I've noticed we both show our age by using old school farmers terms like 'throwbacks'. Funny how us & the younguns can be talking the same thing, but hardly understand a thing the other is saying! (Phenotype? What the hell is a phenotype!?!?....Ohhhh... you mean a throwback? Ahhh, kids now a days. Hahaha!) So many techniques that have been around for hundreds of years suddenly have new names & now the younguns think they've invented the technique! Funny thing, but its the same with sex! They think we did it in the dark & got it over with as fast as possible, that THEY are the ones who discovered its fun. So this past summer, I gave a kid my copy of the karma sutra. Next time I saw him, I asked, so how was the book? He just blushed & looked at the ground! Yep! Kids now a days..... whatcha gonna do? ;) ;) ;)
Cat-Like you've said, best fit for the place. If I did a cali grow here my neighbors would sh#t. Hard enough to hide my outside garden. Have gone at least part of gambit. Started in tubes-hydro, went to 5 gal double bucket constant flow hydro 12/side, ebb and flow tables (homemade) worked pretty good. Then used the 5 gal buckets with soil, just so hard to move through system!
Cloning cut time, and increased plant numbers possible without males. Then settling on one really lovable lady, made the one gallon-bunch of plants attractive. Took a while to get my dirt the way I wanted, but then was able to stop buying all the ferts! Now my only real cost is equipment replacement and electricity. But being in the same place so long does worry me sometimes.
Been trying to educate them since I left college, figured out was my calling and job.Quote:

Peace lady friend, hope life gets easier and yes do like the big girls!
haha AWESOME!Quote:

But if you decide to do it, take it slow & easy & make sure you have enough pot in your pocket for the times you feel stressed. Just don't give up that backhoe in the move. You'll need it for building the 'bunker' when you get there! I think if you make that move, you'll definitely want to become a licensed grower.... you know, big grow, keeping it legal & GREENHOUSES! Hahaha! Damned! I nearly have MYSELF talked into going! ;) ;) ;)
Ranger, I can picture in my mind what would happen if either one of us had those big cali type grows! Something right out of Cheech & Chong! First, we'd have dead neighbors all over their lawns.( they'd drop dead from shock). Then we'd have a big bunch of cop cars crashing into each other, just trying to get to the scene because the reports would NOT be believable. Ehhh... but then we'd go to prison!
-- Once you've done those big grows, going small just hurts your heart & soul, don't you think? The difference between the two is about as great as growing orchids & tomatoes. Guess I'm just feeling it more this year because my outdoor grow was ripped last year, but I really need to get my hands in the dirt & grow some big girls soon! Maybe I'd be happy with a 'bunker' like yours... can I borrow your backhoe? Hahaha! :)
If I go, it will be to become legal. Been trying to get a handle on their ins and outs. Couple of concerts at red rocks and talking to locals have just left me confused. Realize the first step will be to find out what the local areas rules will be. But some of the ground I've seen really trips my trigger.
But the other side of the coin, was one of my rangers buying a mountain top in the next state and you got to help me out! No rest for the wicked.
lets start a bunker building business
I am so in! I have lot's of construction skills...we can all go live on a Mountain top, grow beautiful plants and thumb our noses at authority.Quote:

Don't forget about us up here in WA. We've got some pretty nice mountaintops up here as well.:) But I fear things in WA will not go the way of independent grow ops. The way a lot of people in the State government are talking they want to turn the whole thing into a State-run mega-grow operations and squeeze out small and mid-tier growers. We are going to end up with a Wal-Mart mentality with product being bred and mass-produced with little imagination or creativity. It's still being debated, but there is a possibility they will try to criminalize personal grows.
Yep...Big government controlled large grows with a few people controlling it all. It could have been a great thing, but noooooo.....as usual, the Government will fuck it all up.
I-502 cuts MMJ grows and possession limits. So what was a victory for recreational use is another step towards further control on MMJ patients and grower's.
GREEDY BIG GOVERNMENT!!!
The end price for consumer's will be much more than street pricing...which is contradictory to intent. Look at Colorado, so much for eliminating "Black market" grows.
"Joe blow" should be able to grow some plants at home for personal enjoyment without fear of life wrecking felony charges.
This Country needs a "Cleansing" of the Government.
