The picks are of ones just into flower room. They where transplanted from 6" pots to 3gal pots on the 11th and put under HID light at 40" away. lowered 6"-ish daily. on the 14or15th i changed it to 12/12 from 20/4 light.
The appearance or symptoms have been the same or getting worse for about 3 weeks or more. (discoloration and leave edge curling up) i believe its two separate reactions that just happen to be effecting one plant but this is my first gro.
pictures coming as soon as I figure out how to do it.

I think these are all the same girl.

I have DNF clear. Should I try flushing it? I'd like to get it under control soon. 3-4 have the edges curling and 2-3 of them have these dying spotty leaves. This one has both. Newest thing I noticed is that some of the new growth is yellower then normal on some also.

Dawn and water, 1:3 ratio on a wet cloth, and wipe them off, then spray them with the soap, and wash again. The mites will drown, stuck in the soap. Give a thorough rinsing - The yellow coming in is a lack of nitrogen.
The dying spotty leaves are probably more due to the mites than the nutes. You've got an infestation, and if you don't kill them all, and catch the eggs now, your done, unsmokable crop if it survives much longer - So get them dead today.
I also use dryer sheets in my pots, keeps the mites away.

Thanks. The mights are fairly new and I just started with the Einstein oil (neem oil as the main ingredient) and soap regimen on Sunday. I'm doing 1.5 teaspoons of the neem and a half a teaspoon of dish soap to one letter of luck warm water. I spray the shit out of them from all angles especially from underneath right before the light goes out. Going to repeat every three days or so for a couple of weeks. But the stuff stinks! It must remain in the plant to some degree I assume?
1/4 dish soap and 3/4 water? seems really strong? or is that just for wiping and weaker for spraying? or does a thorough shower after compensate for the strength? I'm considering dunking them in a bucket of the solution to increase the coverage and results. (green side only) Then dunking in clear water for shower after just to be safe. How does that sound?
The lower leaves have been doing that long before the mites though I'm sure of it. I'll have to post more picks maybe to make it clearer.
As for the nitrogen I agree. I'm using the DNF grow at full strength every other watering till I cut it back just in case that was the issue. Also was giving 1/2 dose of micro nutes every 4th watering. But stopped that too. So ill go back to what I was doing in that aspect.
Thanks for the dryer sheet tip! It will defiantly help with the neem smell also!

I am having a problem with root gnats (root aphids). I have tried cinnamon, garlic, cayenne pepper, and it slowed them down a bit. 4 days ago, I treated with neem oil, 1 tablespoon more or less, with a few drops of dish soap in 2 liters of water. I am using it as a soil drench only. I did my second treatment yesterday, and will follow up every 3 days till those lil fckers are gone. I am noticing that maybe 75 to 80% of them are gone now, and the flyers are slow and not doing so hot. I do not know about the neem staying in the plant. I am 4 to 5 weeks from harvest, so I am going to stop the neem as soon as I feel comfortable that my pests are gone. Then I will flush the hell out of it.

Thanks for all the info, so many give little info, and that makes it hard to help with any problems

Ive read tones of great revues, its good shit!
With the mites it kills there ability to moot (or something) main thing is they are unable to reproduce. That is what causes there demise. Basically old age with no kids to carry on lol. I've read a pile on the mites but what you have I'm not familiar with. With the mites the soap actually devolves the shell or skin and they literally fall apart. But I'm not sure on the particular ingredient strength or exposure time.
Also rosemary works great! I wiped all the living ones out twice with a home made rosemary tea. I'm using the neem to try and exterminate as a posed to control. But I'm almost confident that the rosemary on a proper schedule would work also. And you can drink the leftovers!
Good luck man. Sounds like you've got them by the short and curlies though.

thanks! I think if you want the help you should put in the effort!

The neem is supposed to work on the root gnats the same way. It does not straight up kill them, but it does stop the reproduction cycle. Thus knocking them out within 2 of there life cycles. Atleast that is what I have read. I will post a follow up on this in a week or so

ya that would be awesome let us know.
I got some supplies from the grocery store today. Mainly a wetting, emulsifying and evaporating agents oh and some dawn dish soap. I'm going to experiment with a few things. Mainly just to get a more even coverage with this neem and/or rosemary oil. The annoying issue of mixing oil and water and trying to get an even coverage is a pain. Also its easy to get small oil concentrations on the leaves that cause burns.
I put some raw additives that I may use on some select leaves to see what the side effects are before I start.
I was daydreaming earlier about doing a comparison. Neem vs rosemary. Maybe even neem vs rosemary vs plain old dawn dish soap. That may depend on how many plants I can set aside that are somewhat equally inhabited. (my mite issue is minor at the moment)
lol. I bet most people are thinking. "Quit screwing around noob!! Just kill the little mother f&#kers!!" Don't worry I will. The important ones are getting the neem oil regimen as advertised.
And referring to neem oil I don't mean the pure plant extract, I mean Einstein oil.

I could really use some advice on those girls that are having the dying leaves. They are getting worse fast! I did a flow threw PH test on one and it was good.

I haven't been doing anything about those few plants that have issues. I got kinda side tracked for a bit. (unrelated)
I'm going to do flush with DNF Clear over the weekend unless anyone has a better idea.
Not really wanting to start adding random stuff if I don't even know if its a deficiency or an over abundance never mind having a clue as to what.
Ive tried no nutrients for a couple of weeks and that just made the newer growth yellower so I've started back with the nutrients.
I give the same thing to all of them at the same time. All the soil came from the same bag. I'm on the same bottles of nutrients I started with. There is no cold or hot spots in the rooms. There are 8 different strains roughly only 8 effected plants. The issues seem to favor a strain at all. I'd say its fairly diverse so far. But gradually effecting more plants as time goes on.
There seems two distinct issues. The leaf edges curling up and the other is the rusty looking spots and dying leaves. 2 of them have both problems.
The mite issue is hopefully a thing of the past as I've been hitting them hard. They never got any where near to bad and only barely occupied 5% of the plant count. I've been treating all the plants to the same mite solution regardless. (such a pain in the ass!)
I'll try for pictures again tomorrow sorry not fallowing threw with that today.
I'm only really worried about the fact that it seems to be effecting more plants with time. As a percentage its not to big of a problem for the moment because I have more plants then I have room for due to.... a story for a another time.
Here is a thread I started over in indoor growing that explains more on the crowding issue.
