hi my question is, its my first time growing from seed (royal haze feminized auto) so some advice on what medium to use?
what feed would in your opinion would work best with this system im using

First off.. dont auto feed your plants unless you are running a hydro system... especially if you are growing in buckets.. your plants will all grow at slightly different speeds.. and some may need more/less watering than others depending on where they are in the garden etc. Second.. I like Sunshine mix #4.. initial runoff ph is PERFECT for cannabis! Third.. stick with any 3 part food... I prefer General Hydroponics Flora Series.. I find its usually one of the cheaper brands.. and it is also one of the more popular ones.. Use the feeding chart they have on the website (your grow store may also have paper copies). I also HIGHLY recommend foilar feeding with "Growth Plus".. spray every day at lights on.. stop 2 weeks before harvest... and I would also recommend a B1 vitamin like "B-52" from Advance Nutrients.. or "Vitamax" From Grotek.. Water with small amounts every day (quick count to 5 on each plant) And feed them straight Ph'd water every third day to keep the salts down in the soil.. Some guys will tell you its ok to drench the pots and leave them for 4 or 5 days at a time between feeds.. but I have found MUCH better results with watering small amounts daily ;-) Good luck!

Weird that they dont carry GH.. its by far the most widely used food on the planet! lol... Anywho.. sounds like you have a decent nutrient there.. anything that has 3 or 4 parts that you have to mix different amounts at different times should do you justice.. The main thing about these plants is that they require different amounts of nutes for different stages of growth.. stick with the formula recommended by the manufacturer for the first run or two.. and once you get a little more comfortable with how the plants respond.. you can start experimenting with higher dosages of food.. Cannabis can often handle 2-4 times the amount of nutes suggested in those basic feed charts... but condidtions need to be optimal (Temp, humidity, Co2, and lighting all has to be PERFECT), and you really need to watch your plants when increasing the feed like this.. it is VERY possible to have too much of a good thing! Those look way too small to feed dude! I would give them straight ph'd tap water (between 5.8-6.3 for soil) until they have at least 4-6 leaves... that looks like nute burn.. being that you posted this 2 days ago.. Im guessing they may not have made it... You gotta give those babies some time before you start feeding them.. tap water usually has enough natural nutes in it to keep them alive for the first week or so... once they have 4 solid leaves with 5 and 6 coming in nicely.. you can start with 1/4 strength nutes for a few days and bump it up a little more as they get a little bit bigger.. hopefully it worked out for you!
i would say the same as jay with regards to nute burn and way too early on in growth for any nutes. off topic u havent stated any air flow or ducting? i dont know if u have any already (if u dont, get some) but your environment is just as important if not more.. pr's link is worthy read. peace

That looks more like not enough nutes... lol.. Nitrogen deficienies usually turn the whole leaf yellow like that... Nute burn just gets the tips of the newer leaves... Look for a plant problem troubleshooting guide online to help you identify plant problems like this.. it will save you LOTS of running around... My guess is you need a little bit more of whatever part of your nutes has the most nitrogen in it... Read the lables.. which ever one has the highest Nitrogen (N).. add an extra ML per gallon or so and try that for a few days... Hopefully it will perk up! The yellow leaves are scarred like that now.. they will never turn green again after nitrogen def.. but they will be at the bottom of the plant anyways.. so you will probably end up pruning them off come flower time anyways.. good luck!

Definitely nutrient burn. You never feed seedlings until they have established a strong root zone. This is as mentioned above. 4-5 true sets of alternating nodes/leaves. Now that they are burnt...Let them grow 4-5 more sets of leaves before starting nutrient schedule. Then water with ph 6.5 for soil at a strength of 400ppm.Quote:

Your plants use a LOT of nitrogen to produce strong roots... Thats why clones always turn yellow when they are rooting.. its a Nitrogen Deficiency.. If i were you I would clip off the bottom couple leaves that are yellowed.. and up the Nitrogen slightly in your feed.. Getting rid of the yellow leaves will alow the plant to heal.. and stop trying to repair dead leaves.. Those leaves will never turn green again.. so you may as well get them out of there asap! You are talking about ph in soilless. Look up a ph chart before you give advise. 6.3-6.8 is perfect for soil grows. 6.5 is no where near too high.Quote:

I was feeding 4/5 times a day on a timer for 15 mins a time, but the pots were always soked, so im now feeding when the potts are dryer
Any advice as to what im doing wrong would be realy Appreciated

well this problem seems is pesistant :mad:
altho the new groth looks nice and healthy the leafs below turn a yellow then dry out also have brown discolouration on a few top leaf ??
these were grown from seed aprox 7 weeks now.
temp lights on is around 80
humidity lights on is around 40%
i have theses on 15 min feeds 3 times a day lights on the pots are always moist.
iv just changed feed to original hydro/a/b 37ml per 15 ltrs of each. is there anything i could add to remady this prob??

Best I can tell from the piks, It appears to me that you are over watering. Also; you need a ppm/tds pen. I would make nutrients 800ppm now that they are established, but you need a pen to make the nutrient strength adjustments.
