whole plant turned yellow during flowering

Hi, my plant started turning yellow a few weeks ago when i changed from cfl (285w) to hid (600w) and i thought i had scorched it at first like the other one which has burns on it. Changed back to cfl, no change. Leaves turned as yellow at the bottom as at the top.

She turned totally yellow very quickly.

This is a pic of the burnt one (brown nobbles on upper leaves) with the lower leaves turning brown since changed back to cfl, so not heat.

I need to know before my next grow what I have done to my ladies to break them, to avoid my ineptitude of plant welfare a second time.


What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...) First timer

Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's) 265 cfl until 7 weeks old, then 600w hid for 3 weeks, back to cfl
.2) Distance from tops? cfl 3 inches, hid a foot, then 2 feet
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) cfl none, hid batwing
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? in a bedroom...
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? have extraction fan into carbon filter
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 24hours on cfl, then 18hours once flowering, down to 12 on hid, still 12

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) miracle grow soil
.8) Size of container. 10L plastic with drainage holes
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? no

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? tap - soil grown
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) haven't
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. Canna Terra Flores 2%N 0.8%P 3%K 5ml per litre, every 3 days
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? was up to a litre a day but have cut right back, was overwatering
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate?
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?

Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? indoors
20) What size of closet, room or hut? 10' x 10'
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? cfl 23, hid 26, 18 when cfl lights off
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? had a caterpillar invasion, picked all off. some tiny black things flying around

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) prefeminised auto flowerers
24) From seeds or clones? seeds
25) Is this an autoflower strain? yes

Please help, I really don't want to make the same mistakes again. All leaves yellow and dropping off isn't good!

Give it some time I have no idea what is up with your plant but I'm sure someone will be able to help you

That is the only thing I see that I would change at first look

Hate to say it, but you're probably toast on this one.. The pictures almost look like my plants did when they got root rot during a NFT grow.. Probably the most productive thing you can do is FLUSH. Use water that has pH of about 6.3 and run enough through the plants to get a decent run through.. 10 - 20% of what you put in. Dump out what comes through. Once you do this, give them a couple of days to dry out and resume feeding with a LIGHT dose.. One thing you're fighting, is Miracle Grow. They add way too much shit in terms of nutrients. I'd recommend using some brand of soilless mix, which is basically peat moss with vermiculite with NO NUTRIENTs and for the most part neutral. This will allow you to have absolute control of what goes in to your plants... As far as nutrients.. I always go light because I don't like having the experience you are now. This helps avoid it. I did some looking the mg soil has a ph of like 8 from what I see

I should have read more... 5 ml per liter in my opinion is too high. I'd bring it back to 2-3 until you stabilize. Also, if Ssdivin is correct, also way too high. In soilless mix, I try to have the nutrient solution and water 6.0 - 6.2, which seems to work. Also why I'd recommend on your next grow you go with this.. When you're not able to measure the strength and pH of the nutrient solution, it's best to error on the light side. If you can afford the cost, a meter that measures pH, PPM, uS, is a very good investment. Just make sure you keep it calibrated. Recently I had a nutrient lockout problem and followed the same steps I recommend.. whala! about a week later things were looking better. I'd neglected to measure/adjust pH during the week (after initially setting it) and it was creeping up, which ended up in the problem I had, low K. Good luck, Farmer.

use the hid 600w bulb 2 feet away

wait til the soil has dried before rewatering

3ml terra flores every 3 days during flowering, the other terra stuff for vegging

10ml pots

Pineapple Chunk Feminised seeds

is that likely to not murder plants like I'm so good at?

wait til the soil has dried before rewatering <- not bone dry.. The pots will be lighter when you pick them up.. You'll get better with experience.

10ml pots <- 10L ? I use 20 or 26 dependent on how big I want it to get.. If you have good vertical space, you may want to go a little larger..

I would recommend getting a meter and start measuring the nutrient strength.. I use 350 - 580 ppm and pH 5.8 - 6.2 with the soilless mix.. Some people would call this very light in terms of ppm, I find it gives you a lot less trouble and yield is fine. Tastes better too. Go with nothing but water the last 2 weeks and it will taste great!
