i have a white widow x big bud and liberty haze that is a month old they getting rust spots and dying leaf tip/ ridges on them and im not sure what the problem is.. im using fox farm OF soil and the fox farm trio nutes ph'd at 6.8...im only putting 1tsp to every half gal.. i have a 400watt MH about 2 foot above the plants ...air circulation temps range from 77- 84 f... 24/7 light ...i included some pics of the WWxBB if you could please help me b4 the plant goes to hell...THANK YOU

I would center in on the ph ... my white widow likes to have the ph more on the low side. Some of the micronutrients do not absorb at the high end of the 6.3-6.8 range and it sounds like you are trying to shoot for 6.8. You might have better luck shooting for the middle of the range instead of the upper edge. I try to ph everything to no higher than 6.45 and it works well for me.
The brown tips, that is just an indicator that you are giving just enough nutes... I have heard it said that if you don't burn the tips you are not trying hard enough. I am looking more at the inconsistent coloring within the leaves...
have another question... 1 tsp per 1/2 gal of what? solubles? Are you also using the grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom according to the recommended schedule every other time, giving water only inbetween?
well i was told if i get the water+nutes ph'd at 6.8 the ph would lower in the soil to around 6.4-6.5 so that was my goal... and i was adding 1 tsp of grow big and big bloom each...i wasnt really following there chart too much becuase i just started hiting them with nutes about 2 weeks ago ...and i never did the water inbetween i must have got confused ...now that i read the feeding schedule again i got hydro and soil confused i thought i was suppose to feed them every water...just to let it be known i did freak out a bit yesterday and flushed them at another 6.8 ph water only and my runoff was only 5.2...what do u think my best bet is to get these girls fresh again? and you said something about inconsistent coloring what would that be from and any fixes?
PH... and improper use of nutes. That is your problem.
FoxFarms employed an army of scientists to figure out that chart which you have ignored, thinking that you had a better way... now your plants are showing you the result of your miscalculation. I have NEVER measured my run off PH on my soil... I simply don't care what it looks like. I know that if I put the proper ph in, all is well. Follow the chart, and give the proper nutes at the recommended levels only every other time, and properly PH'ed water to 6.45 in-between.
When you add the nutes to your water, especially when you use one of the 3 FoxFarms Solubles, the PH will probably go very low... 5.75 or so. Use PH up or pickling lime or whatever makes you happy, and bring that PH back up to 6.45 before you apply the soup to your plants. The soil is simply the medium this all is sitting in... make sure that what you put in there is what the plants can use, without counting on the soil to change it. 6.45 PH. I am convinced this will solve your problems. Stop worrying about the run off PH. Every soil out there will give you a different result after filtering your nutes and water through it, and each soil will change over time how much it adds or subtracts to the equation. This measurement is mostly meaningless... Just make sure you put the right stuff in.
Well I never use it so can not say anything about it.
Looks like you're giving it too much of something, but I'm not sure what. Do a flush with just water and wait a while and see what happens. OF soil should be good by itself for a while, when a plant is young. Go easy on ferts next time.
I've had that before and it was because I had gave it too much nutes, plus the soil had time release nutes.... too strong for the small girl.

Water, emilya. You add ferts to water.
I have spotted what I think is your problem. First, definitely pay attention to the FoxFarms chart and stop guessing at 1tsp per half gallon. Use the appropriate nutes for the age of your plants in the correct amounts and definitely adjust the ph to 6.3-6.8 BEFORE you pour it into the soil.
But here is the reason for your rust spots I think. I am betting that you are root bound. That plant looks awfully big for that pot.
