Our records show that you have not signed the petition to reschedule cannabis at this e-mail address.
On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, the President of the Florida Cannabis Action Network, Cathy Jordan and Director Bob Ohlwiler are meeting with the Director of Prescription Drugs and Special Projects to receive our petition to reschedule cannabis.
Florida Statute 893.0355 states that from time-to-time, additional testings, approvals or scientific evidence may indicate that controlled substances listed in Schedule I, II, III, IV, and V may have a greater potential for beneficial medical use than was evident when the substance was scheduled.
:jointsmile:Please add your name to the growing list of Floridians who agree cannabis does not belong in Schedule I!
We can not do this without you!
Warm Regards,
Jodi James

I guess we can take MA out of this list and move it the free States list, thanks to the MA voters. Better luck at the ballot next time AR. I love my adopted home state of Oklahoma but either us or Texas will be the last legal I'm afraid. but you never know, once the speed of the water reaches a critical point all these crazy laws might just get dislodged and flow on down the river. :smokin:

Thank you med procon! :greenthumb: everything one needs to know.
for example, I just now learned that one of the bills in Oklahoma contains the word 'prescribe', which would render it doa even if it did become law. :wtf:

18 medical states and one medical district  with 11 pending. what is the magic number of states needed to force the policy of these united states to become the policy of the United States? 38 and we can roll out the Constitutional amendment option I guess, but, fortunately that won't be needed for this. just a stroke of the pen is all that is needed to correct this.

Illinois' bill has made it through the House and is now ready for the Senate. The downside is that our legislators are priding themselves on making "the most restrictive medical marijuana law in the nation". Fuck them. I like that it's a loosening of attitudes towards cannabis use, but am disappointed by the closed list of medical conditions that it would apply to. They're more afraid of someone who doesn't fit their definition of "sick enough" smoking some weed than of someone going without or risking legal problems who does need it.

I can see the other side of the coin as well. I have one in college and one is still a Jr in high school. I was always worried they would grow up like I did. Under age partying starting with alcohol, the pot, then......
Last year at this time I would've voted against legalization. I think former partiers like former cigarette smokers are the most critical although I have to say cigarettes are the worst thing in the world. So what chanded my mind? My wife and I took in her brother who was dying of throat cancer (from cigarettes). He was smoking pot for relief of pain, nausea and to keep some sense of cognitive functioning. He got me to try it again after 32 years of leaving all the partying behind. I mostly did it because of the thought of doing something wrong or illegal....he...he...he. I think tobacco growers should replace tobacco with pot. The govt can't just shut down the tobacco industry as it would ruin some state economy's and jobs. We need to offer the govt a way out. They would love to shut down tobacco but can't due to lobby's and economy's. With an alternative to tobacco as a source of tax revenue without the long term health effects that are COSTING our govt money, they would become proponents for the movement. The folks with money pushing for pot legalization should be meeting with RJ Reynolds exec's. Explore a plan for crop replacent only this time do it right! No pesticides, processing chemicals or addictive additives and FDA approval. Let's face it....no way cigarettes would pass FDA today. So that's it...give the feds a way out via partnering with tobacco companies. Any thoughts?

Screw the tobacco co.s let the tobacco growers figure it out for themselves or with the pro-cannabis / hemp people.
