Need help for upcoming random test

I need help.... I have been smoking daily for 4 yrs. (average 2 joints a day) until 12 days ago. I have not smoked in 12 days. I have an upcoming drug (urine) test. I will not know the exact day because it will be random. It could be anywhere from next week to 8 weeks from now. I am 5 foot 5 inches and weigh about 145. If I have the text next week it will have been a total 19 days at the earliest (hopefully it will be later than that before I am tested). If I am tested in 6 to 8 weeks from now it will have been a total of about 65 to 70 days. I need all the advice I can get, and please take this serious, my career depends on it. I am never smoking again!!!! Tell me everything I can do to get the thc out of my fat cells.

The only proven way to rid the body of THC is time and fat-burning exercise.

Pick up a home THC test kit and test yourself to see where you stand. When testing yourself, be sure to use the first urination of the day. If you test positive, you should really consider using a clean persons sample (or synthetic) to use as a sub if keeping your employment is important, as youve so expressed.

i cannot use a clean persons sample because it is random, they will test me on the spot. From your point of view, how many days would you "think" it would take for the thc to get out of my system considering my size, etc. i am 145 lbs 5' 5". 30 yrs old. An educated guess if you can please? :-) also if I drink plenty of water and cranberry juice and bike riding everyday. Also do you know of any foods that help burn fat? Thank you

Nobody can answer that for you. Each persons body is different and there are too many variables to take into consideration to even arrive at an educated guess. Since youve expressed the importance of passing this test, why would you want to rely on "educated guesses" which are almost always off the mark?

Only periodic testing with a THC test kit (using the first urination of the day for each time) can give you that answer to your question.

Cranberry juice does nothing to rid the body of THC. Drinking water is only helpful on the day of the U/A. Drinking water days or weeks before the U/A is of no help. You must understand that THC is not water-soluble. THC is fat-soluble. Therefore you cannot rid THC from the fat cells by drinking copius amounts of water. It does not work that way (more on that in a moment).

THC is stored in the fat cells. When fat cells burn, the THC metabolites are released back into the bloodstream. The kidneys filter the THC metabolites from the bloodstream and are deposited into the bladder for the eventual exit (this is the main reason why THC carries a longer detection period than other types of drugs). The rate in which THC metabolites are filtered from the bloodstream by the kidneys is unaffected by copius fluid consumption.

The purpose of drinking fluids is to dilute the THC metabolite concentration that is present in the bladder. You are not ridding the body of THC metabolites, but rather youre "thinning out" the THCA concentration present in the bladder. The idea is to thin out that concentration just enough to where the urine sample can register below the cutoff thresholds of the drug screen. This dilution phenomena, however, is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC.

As stated previously, only time and exercise can permanently rid the body of THC. However, if your scheduled U/A happens to be 3 days (or less) away, then fat-burning activities can work against you due to the reasons stated in the above paragraph. Therefore, for those 3 days, youd want to curtail any fat-burning activities and be as dormant as possible until after the U/A. That way you wont be releasing a bunch of THCA into the bloodstream, which would all end up in the urine to be detected.

I understand what you are saying about the water....however it certainly couldn't hurt to drink it being that i do not know what day i will be tested so i will drink it everyday all day until then. The reason i said "educated guess" is because that is much better than an uneducated guess. I mean your name is burnt toast?? BT provided you with 100% factual information that for some reason you are getting indignant about. I don't see how that was warranted at all. There are no guesses here for reasons stated many times before. You are 100% wrong about drinking more fluids than suggested not being able to hurt you or the results of your test. Shall the regulars here ignore you now or were you looking for honest help?

As Web stated, we dont issue guesses of any kind here. Thats because around here, drug testing is taken very seriously because there are careers, families, and freedoms hanging in the balance. You yourself wanted your situation taken seriously because your career is at stake and thats what we do. We provide info based upon the facts - not guesses, and we pull no punches in doing so. The DT forum is not some LOL'y-dolly playground and adults are not coddled here.
Consider yourself very fortunate that you were provided the info above at all. I couldve instead referred you to the forums Search button and closed this thread altogether on the grounds that the topics youve brought up had been addressed and answered long before youve registered here. I have to agree with webdox. For anyone who has truly taken the time to research their own situation rather than to ask for someone else to answer everything for them, BT is recognized as a great source of information. Having just passed a hair test myself after weeks of my own research and information from people like BT, I can tell you that there are folks here who can help you along the way unless you insist on insulting them. Not a smart idea to bite the hand that's trying to help you out.

agreed. i have only known of this site's existence for four days and it's corrected years worth of misinformation i had about this stuff. and BT is unbelievably patient in answering the same questions over and over again. kudos.

I do thank you for the information. I think next week when I start to work I am going to carry urine with me daily. My main question is will it be ok to use a male's urine and does age matter? What is the best way to keep the urine on me to get the temperature right? I have heard of using condoms, etc. Not sure what the best route would be, I will be walking around a lot and such, don't want anything to leak or spill??. Again I am very sorry if I offended you. Oh, and btw I bought a home test last nite, today is day 13 of no smoking, i decided i am going to take the test on sunday morning (1st morning urine) that will be day 18. This drug test is confusing, it has a verification mail out where you can also send it to a lab, do they all have that? I think that is for the parents to send it to verify, if they are testing their teens. What is the best drug test to but that you know of? If I test negative I will not worry about subbing, but I figure 18 days is prob not long enough. Also, I know this is a site for THC, but do you happen to know how long alcohol stays in your system? Gender and age are totally irrelevant. Drug testing devices are unisex -they have no ability to determine gender or age of the donor. Any human sample will work as long as the sub donor is indeed drug-free and not overhydrated prior to giving you the urine sample.

Forget using condoms. They are susceptible to leakage and breakage. Travel-size shampoo bottles are far more durable. They are also available empty at most major retail chains. These will save you the time and hassle of washing and rinsing out. More tips on subbing can be found in N2s Substitution "sticky" thread.

In that thread, N2 had made references to digital thermometers. I personally prefer using the "stick-on" type baby forehead temp strips (available at most chain pharmacy stores). They are essentially the same ones used at the collection facilities and while they are not as accurate to the "nth" degree as the digital thermometers, they are accurate enough to merit continued use by the specimen collectors. Just stick a temp strip on your travel-size shampoo bottle, and thats one less item that you have to sneak in at the collection site.

Burnt Toast...how can you pass a mouth swab test? any information you have will be greatly appreciated :-)

Question??? I still have not had my drug test yet...I have been smoke free for 32 days....I have the thc test strips that you stick in the urine, etc....a 10 pack...it states that even a faint line on the test region is a negative result...well I tested someone that i knew was not thc free (smokes all the time) and it came up positive....I also tested myself and got a very very very faint line in the test region ( which made me happy lol) ... well then I tested someone who has never smoked and it immediately came up with a dark red line in the testing region....so I am now questioning if the very faint line I recieved means that there is still thc in my urine and if I am really negative or not.....does the testing line always show up that dark for people who have never smoked??? This is worrying me now :-( the line was there but I can't help but wonder about it knowing it will show up very red for someone who has never had any thc in there body....please help if you can....thank you :-)

Contrary to popular belief, there is no meaning attributed to intensity or width of a line. Even synthetic urine controls (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can produce a faint line on an assay. Read post #2 in this thread: http://boards.cannabis.com/drug-test...int-lines.html

A faint line is a line. A negative is a negative.

Just an update...I still have not been tested yet....I am expecting it sometime in the month of October...I am on day 57 of being smoke free....I have tested negative every morning that I have tested myself....I am assuming I am good to go :-) thank you for all of the info. I think I will buy one more pack of the THC test strips and use them for 10 more working days just to make double sure :-)

Need a little info....had a DOT urine test today...which I subbed for. I used a bottle that was originally a travel size mouthwash bottle....rinsed it out and added a little dish detergent (to clean out the mouthwash mint smell) with water and let it sit for 2 days....I thoroughly rinsed the detergent out and continuously rain water in it until I could not smell any thing in the bottle. I added the clean drug free urine to the bottle....put it in my underwear and everything went great at the drug testing sight. Once I got home I opened the bottle and could smell urine and a slight detergent smell....I know that there was no actual detergent in it but the fact that I can smell it a little worries me. From what I understand there is 5 things the DOT will test for THC, Cocaine, etc. The urine was clean looking and smelled like urine in the specimen cup. Is it possible for them to find the detergent at the lab? The smell of the bottle is bothering me....when you run water in it and smell it right away it has no smell...however after it sits a few min when you check the smell again it has that faint soap smell.....Any ideas....burnt toast???
