FIRST OUTDOOR GROW {PICS} NEED HELP W/NUTES
Finally decided enough's enough & decided to leave this grande beast outside. Been bringing her inside to get some shut eye.... visa vie 12 hours darkness...Gather I will know soon enough if problems arise? Until then (Possibly 3-4 weeks to completion, dunno cuz never did anything outdoors) Shot a few pics to give an idea as to her progress. Oh, 1 more question, should I use some of the high octane mixtures such as "Beastie Bloomz" or "Cha Ching" & if so should I use them with out the regular nutes visa vie.... "Big Bloom" & "Tiger Bloom" or just stick with the primary nutes.... Cheers

I bet that was awkward, I hurt just thinkin' about it. ;) Thought I would let ya know... the majority of my buddy's outdoor plants @ 42N Latitude are beginning to flower. There are a couple strains that aren't doing anything yet, but only a couple. Hopefully you're good!

I know the FF schedule is on their website. The solubles are used in addition to the base nutes.
I use 'em, but timing is everything, and I've scorched the heck out of a few strains by over-application. (mainly the Beasty-Bloomz)
Tread lightly at first application, certainly keep it under 1/2 strength for the initial feeding. If you are feeding heavily now, she *may* tolerate FS, but that's your call, the solubles are some strong stuff! The plant looks so good now, I probably would stick to 25-50% to start.
Be aware that the Cha-Ching lengthens the ripening period, slightly. It seems to add about a week, give or take. Not a problem indoors. Outdoors, I dunno. You'll have to see if you think she'll be done before the coool weather hits your locale.

Yea, it was a doozie!!! Flowering very nicely now, worth every paining hour to & fro! Def will only use the high octane nutes with caution & mainly stick with the reg FF. My other 8 are all in full flower, 5 super skunk & 3 unknowns (bag seed...) Cheers mate & thanks for the super quick shout out. Gave me some insight concerning nutes & again, big shout out! ( & u are very correct on the lat 42N.)... Peace

Like day 35 days into flower & as most know I induced her to do so by bringing her into the bathroom cuz the N.E. US Lon/lat wasn't conducive to a 12/12 schedule. So now that I'm conceivably on the right path I'd like to know what my "Harvest Date" may be. Included are a few pics from today. Cheers to all..... PEACE!

I would say that plant looks alot like NL of sorts. Going off that you have about 60-65 days from start of flower. Better yet is to get a small scope and check the trichromes. Wait till you get a fair amount of amber vs milky/cloudy to them. milky=headdy high vs amber= stoner couch potato.

Thanx "BI", pretty hip to that type of identification. Most of the tops are fire red/blue with some clear. May need to harvest some of the upper colitas. Amazing, everyday I can see a bunch of new growth. Also since they are in 5 gallon container I need to water like twice daily & talking 2 gallon feeds. So its sucking up 4 gallons daily! Luckily theres been plenty of rain.... Been collecting a bunch of H20, close to 120 gallons stored. Forget the electric bill if Inside, My H20 bill would be off the hook especially since there's a a lot of vegetables going on. Peace

Again, methinks I'm close to the final four weeks cuz I still see white crystals at the ends of the flower! Not fully browned/bronzed or however the way its supposed to be but instincts tell me there is another month so will be gentle / sometimes challenging with the super nutes. Does this sound like a plan?

Any one of those would be fine. They are a bit on the expensive side and I never had any better luck with them than plain old miracle grow the bloom formula.
You need any fertilizer with a low first number the nitrogen and a hagher second and third number. Like 10-20-20 or similar. Keep your pH right on and you should get good results for your efforts.

On it, Very well aware of the #'s as well as the various nutes out on the market. Played the regular run of the mill nute line & to be perfectly honest, but nothing beats the "Fox Farm" line of nutes, again IMHO! All's well, just trying to keep her foliage under the cover of my tomato/pepper garden brush! Don't want human beasties invading!! We'll see?

Ordered a 420 Scope, "Handheld Science Microscope 60-100X" magnification. Hope that this aids in detecting trichrome colors! They still appear somewhat milky, even the top of the tops!! Again, guessing 1 month. If I grab enough for the winter I will be quite pleased! Peace All!

One of the best scope i would say is the EYEClops bionic eye its 200x magnified and connects to your tv so u can watch it on ur big screen or u can get the model above it which is 50 bucks and it will do 100x -200x magnified!!!

I think that's what Weezard has/uses, if memory serves. They are very nice. Been meaning to look around for one, myself.
Lookin' good Esteban! I think you'll end up with _plenty_. You must have some *monster* veggies, to hide that big-girl! ;)

Bollocks:
Now need to buy this to watch on my macbook pro so I can pretend to be my own provider/Dispensary? Evil.... Was worth all of the pain/suffering to grow her from seed! Should take delivery of the 420 Scope on Monday/Tuesday? From what I can see, the trichromes are still milky white @ the top. Some, not all show multi colors. & YEA.... Tons of veggies, peppers tomatoes etc, etc to provide good shelter from unwanted enemies.

Hey Guys:
Is it the "EYE CLOPS" by Jakks Pacific? AKA "The Bionic Eye"? Looks like you can jack into a monitor but does this make it better than the 100x mag that I should receive 'morrow or just a "vanity" item?

I got the Eyeclops for my sister's kids a couple Christmases ago, I think it was around $50, but they checked out bugs eyes and stuff like that so you oughta be able to see the cloudy and amber trichs easily with it. I wouldn't mind having one but I've already got a 60x - 100x scope that works just fine. I just pick off a piece of a leaf from the bud, lay it on a piece of white paper, set the zoom to 100X and focus it in, and bam! They're as clear as you could possibly wanna see 'em. :twocents:

I'd consider it a "gadget", I just love gadgets. ;)
I have the lil' "Radio Shack" scope, as well as several different loupes, but mainly, I like to use a camera in macro mode. The high magnification from the scopes is cool and all, but the camera gives a more expansive view, while still letting you zoom in on areas that deserve a closer look. Doing it this way, I do have to take quite a few pics though, because of the very narrow depth of field in macro mode.

Well, Tthe verdict is in.... "420 Scope SUKS RABBIT DUNG"! It's more or less a child's toy... Yea, it may work for a scant shot of the flower if you have the steadiness of a brain surgeon, unfortunately I am not in that club. Cartman; GREAT IDEA with the camera. Have a Nikon with a Nikkor 1:1 lens for extreme close ups & it works GREAT!!!

FIRST OUTDOOR GROW {PICS} NEED HELP W/NUTES
Good Day my fellow growers:
Attached a few pics of the monster I've been cultivating for the last few months & most know the troubles I went through to ensure a meaty girl. I "scoped" her with me "Nikon Camera & her 1:1 Macro Lens" * its appears 80% of the trichromes are in fact reddish/purple. Think I'm gonna pluck a few from the top & dry out. My ? is do ya think that this girl is almost ready to harvest? Enclosed are a few pics of the middle branches but most are colorful. Btw.... This will be month 3 of flower (Induced/flipped July 1) Cheers

Going on what you say, a staggered harvest seems the way to go. Considering you're getting close to 10 weeks, go for it. If they're indeed approaching 80% amber, :detective1: those tops are beyond done.

Oddly, the middle shots show virtually no amber. Additionaly, they seem overly leafy. Are you still feeding, & did she get a good flush when transitioning to flower nutes? Looks like an excess of nitrogen.
Is the whole plant still that green, or are the fans yellowing in areas not visible in the pics?
Not being familiar with the strain, I'm just making wild guesses. In the middle pics it kinda looks like she hasn't gone through the final swell? Yet, very few clear trichs showing, the majority look cloudy to my eye.

Dunno, but think you may be correct? Yes, still feeding!! Alot of the leaves are yellowing/wilting but your guess is as good as mine being I DON'T KNOW?! Think I'm gonna do a "staggered harvest". starting tomorrow. No haven't "flushed"..... What is the best way to do so.... Just aqua x a few days? In the dark here with an outside grow. Peace

Yes, at the next watering, just straight water...and plenty of it. :glugglug:
(I'm thinking she's still in the pot) You'll want to see a good amount of water coming out the bottom. Not over a few days, do it all at once if she's slowing down on the amount of water she's using. You don't want the soil saturated for too long a period.
She should be using up all the stored goodies in the leaves. She won't if there is an abundance of nutes available in the root-zone.:eat:
FF recommends a flush on the transitions in their most recent schedule, they didn't in earlier versions. I noticed a pretty good build-up in the soil when I first started using their products, before they were recommending the flushes. That's probably why she looks so green. I use an ec/ppm meter to gauge the flush, if you don't have one just a _real_ good soaking will help a good deal.
Also, they say to follow the schedule to harvest. We want to stop a week or more before harvest, in soil, for our purposes. Nitrogen imparts a pretty unmistakable, objectionable taste to the buds. A long cure can help a good bit to eliminate the taste, but better to starve her beforehand, imo. :weedpoke:

Think that considering all of the facts, methinks that she can go another 3 weeks!!! Everyday I wake up she's getting "fatter". So, will give her a good feed of the "high octane nute" Cha Ching & then slow down visa vie exactly what you stated in the post!! Check out some of the shots I just grabbed late this afternoon.

Excellent! That makes a lot of sense, explains why the last set of pics looked like she hadn't filled-out. Kinda threw me when you said the tops were showing so much amber.
Looks to be right on pace with my buddies outdoor, then. He's expecting everything to finish between the end of Sept thru 2nd week Oct. Cool beans Esteban!

Yea bro:
Figured it will take a few more weeks as well cuz all of the research etc, etc, shows me that there is that "final push" to fatten up the fruit! While checking out the big momma did ya have a chance to sneak a peak at the indica's...... visa vie, do you believe that she will make it thru a semi-cold fall given my general area? Best guess is possibly yea, but again, am an optimist & can visualize an end product. Doesn't necessarily need to be "mj" cuz I do this with all of me projects. Also have 5 "Super Skunk" that hopefully comes to fruition!!! Any insight into this?

This girl should be interesting come November. She's an Indica of unknown origin, Not Bag seed but a gift from "Seed Company" when ya grab like 10. So they threw in this cool baby & can't wait to see the results. Feeding her the prescribed regimen of FF nutes with the occasional High Octane "Beastie Bloomz" since she's on her way.
