Medicinal Marijuana "Bad High" Issue

Hey everybody,


I just started using medical marijuana about a week and a half ago. The first time I did it, I didn't feel much of a high yet I vaporized about 1 bag of marijuana. The strain I have now is THC Bomb by the way. But back on topic, I didn't feel much relief after my first time, I was looking for something to help the spasms because I suffer from Cerebral Palsy. I than did it again the next day (I only vaporize twice a day tops, one in the afternoon and one later at night or sleep.) That day, because I didn't feel much relief, a packed almost double the amount in the chamber and filled up a bag and a half. The high starts off great, very sedating (exactly what I need), the spasms don't necessarily go away but it dulls my senses enough to the point that I don't feel them. But within 20 minutes later, the high turned horrible. I can uneasy, my anxiety gets worse, I'm more emotional, munchies, extreme weed vision (the room feels as if I'm on rough seas in a little dingy.) The feeling feels tolerable for the first 10-15 minutes than it gets annoying. I feel like I'd be better off if I didn't do it, I feel like I am struggling to have control over my body, I am talking to myself in my head which makes me feel ashamed and guilty. I figured that this was because I am only 15 and it was only my second time getting high and I did take too much. So in the past days I've varied. Some days I do very minimal (no bigger than two eraser tips on a pencil) and other days I put a generous pinch. My problem is I either don't get enough relief or get to high to the point of extreme anxiety and paranoia. Is there any tips? Is this because I need to build a tolerance to THC? Is it because I am young? Is it just a first time thing? At some point will it go away? Please feel free to post anything.

I have tried this, but it is so hard to go with it. My mind races, I don't feel relaxed, my body feels sedated. It's not a feeling that I want.

also it will go in time and the high will get better

So - you're 15, you're just starting out, you went for a high-THC strain like Auto Bomb, and you chose to Vape which is going to get you higher than other methods.

It's no wonder you got "too" high. Not trying to lecture you, but it's one of those "what were you thinking" kind of things.

Take it down a notch in a couple ways and give the smoke time to take effect before you decide it's not working and hit it again.

It's no fun to go where you went, and it's pretty hard to talk yourself down.
Don't you have a bud you can get high with so you can look after each other?

Also, if you find that you're prone to anxiety and paranoia, you should probably choose your strain very carefully or enjoy it in moderation. Nothing to be embarrassed about - lots of people have the same problem.
When I was your age, all it took was a little bit and I was sure every friend I had was setting me up to get busted.

Well, to be honest the type of plant also influences that type of high, some are more of a head high, and some are more physical. You can make coockies out of them too and consume them that way. I find that this form lasts the longest and is more mild than smoking it. You extract the THC from the buds first. So you get the highest fat content butter you can get and boil it down with finely ground and dry weed. Add water to make sure you don't burn the butter. Oh when you are first melting the butter, be sure to remove all the white crud that boils to the top, it's mostly stabilizers and cholesterol from the butter, then after that add in the weed. and keep stirring occasionally. after 6-8 hours depending on the THC content, you have drawn all the THC into the butter. strain out the plant particles out and then put the butter in a plastic bowl or glass bowl and cool off in the fridge. After that you use it like butter. and proceed to make your cookies, or have it as with toast :-) Good luck and I hope it is able to provide you with relief from cerebral palsy. When I was a medical student, I saw many children with cerebral palsy and it was quite sad to me. Keep on fighting and live life to the fullest!

You may find a Blueberry will work for you. It is considered a sativa or sativa dom. Somehow, I do understand the kind of pain and discomfort you are talking about. Try that one. I think Cheese might be a second choice for you. idk, but try them

Take as little dose as you possibly can. Start high, build up tolerance quickly.

Apparently, you are being supervised properly in use? I assume with a vape, you know what to do? Whoever set you up to do this, did it right. Just get the right bud and the right dose. Good luck. pr

I need to rephrase, not a rolling boil, but more of a simmer to be correct, and you need to continually add water to it. I'm sorry it was around 2:30 in the morning when I wrote that. I've baked about 3 batches so far and they are the best way to enjoy THC anywhere and everywhere. I like the spliff too, but then people know immediately what your doing. If you're eating a cookie, well, you're just eating a cookie!

Howsabout making a batch of brownies? IMHO...('cause thats what you'll find here....humble opinions.) you need a steady dose since you are trying to negate the effects of "CP" which effects neurological as well as physical aspects. Again, think you need a long steady dose & edibles just may be the key to your dilemna.

I do see that "Paintreat" has the same feelings & if you cannot purchase these at the clinic Its very easy to mix up a batch of brownies. Probably at least 100 recipes on the internet. I can shoot you a very easy one just say the word. Guessing you are on all types of phenobarbital/xanax type of chemical agents that have been the long standing western remedy. Give mj a chance & use it properly to get the desired effect. Peace bro

the head high is sativa and sativa dom. hybrids. the body high comes from indica (my favorite) i would suggest using leafly.com for effects and your ailments. there are other sites as well. but i find that to be the most helpful.

Hey ThSteez! I think it is due to high dose. You can try taking Marijauna in different ways. Otherwise I dont think Marijauna can cause any side-effects if it is taken in correct and proper dose and quantity.
