I am an Iraqi veteran and self medicate from TBI & PTSD issues I incurred from the Army... Yes I realize my state hasn't moved forward with any MMJ laws, but I would rather smoke than fill my body with presc. pills(my logical opinion)..... I shall wait and see but I currently started 5 plants from various "baggy-seeds" 2 months ago..... I watered them with the Miracle gro yesterday before they started the process of withering from dry conditions... I have Miracle Gro 24-12-8 and also put 17-17-17- slow release pellets.. they are in a very discreet location and relying on nature for rain.. All of these plants survived 2 bad severe t-storms a month ago.
they are with huge broad 9-lobed leaves...I believe i only have 1 male but its still kind of early... Open suggestions are helpfulAttachment 284962Attachment 284963Attachment 284964

Welcome man.
They look great, and I hope they get you medicated. It's a proud thing to say that you served your country, and I believe that veterans should be able to smoke cannabis, ESPECIALLY for medicinal purposes. Good Luck dude!

pretty plants. the first time i grew weed i was in highschool towards the middle of the grow i caught on fire and couldn't walk for months. When i finally could the first thing i did was go check on my plants and they did amazing on their own. so yeh nature will take care of them most of the time

Cheech-
Welcome to the forum. I saw that you listed Colorado as your home in your bio page. When you said South I thought you meant my neck of the woods. I am new to indoor growing---started 6 girls about two months ago in a custom 6x4x8 grow room that I built to maintain proper temps. I have been an outdoor grower for over 7 years and am happy to provide you with any tips or info you may need from time to time. After you get your first grow completed, go to a good seed site and order a strain that you find appealing that is geared towards outdoor growth. This enables you to know how long the plants will take to flower and if you are growing sativa, indica, or most commonly a hybrid of the two. I did my first grows from seeds found in bags of smoke from buddies and it worked but most often I was having issues with 3 or more strains that all needed different factors for optimal growth. I'm here if you need me.
Thanks for your service to our country and I offer you my best wishes for your success in growing your own meds that will be far better that any pill ever could.

Thanks BamaGrower.... I'm truly not interested in buying seeds from seed banks (kind of paranoid with certain $hit). I also don't know which are the better more secure seed sites.. Just doing this to medicate myself from service connected issues.
Waiting for NC to pass their Law

I thought you were from round here...Pot don't grow good in the North...Kiddin' Brother! Welcome! Looks like ya gonna be fine with what ya got goin' on!
I should mention that it might be a good idea to top them... That way you will have added a little stealth to your grow.. By keepin' them short..

Your plants look nice and healthy well done, I have 1 suggestion for you since you have one male have you ever thought of breeding it with your best looking females and trying to make your own seeds and stock, you do not have to pollinate the whole female, simply dig the male out and put it somewhere away from the females wait for its pollen sacks to develop, when this happens shake the pollen in a bag or 2 or 3 depending on how many females you want to pollinate then loosely tie each bag over one branch of each female and rub all over the bud, leave the bag on for 2 days then remove, when you come to harvest that branch will have seeds,
I have bred my own seeds and had lots of fun developing my own strains some seeds are good some are less so e.g hermies or autoflowers, but it is very rewarding especially when you get another nice male and female then you can breed those two and keep on repeating the process selecting in and out the traits you want and those you wish to discard bonus is you can create what you want although it is a lengthy process but ultimately a very rewarding one.
All the best on your grow and keep us posted.

The thing with breeding is selecting the traits you are after, but if you still cannot decide then pick your best looking plants:thumbsup: look forward to seeing what you breed and how these beauties turn out:rasta:

Plants look good, they could use more fert they are yellowing on the bottom to make new growth on top...the slow release will help long term but they need it now, well, to blast off. Add some perlite, water crystals or something to the soil to help hold water for longer term. and I always say use a grow bag outdoors..
AOC soldier, time for battle drill six, god I hate that one..

Hey,
Glad to see another veteran on board. I'm an old army veteran(91B) from 3rd ID. I was in a tank (Bradley) accident and broke my back in 3 places. That happened many years ago and ever since I have been taking every pain medication under the sun. After seeing all the information on the internet about the positive side of medical cannibas, I really want to try it. My only problem is I don't know anyone to get it from since I just moved to FL. So, I figured I would try growing my own like you until I meet more people.
I'm overwhelmed with all the information on growing and read the board everday for an hour or two to learn all I can. Are there certain strains that are better for pain? I'm not getting my hopes high on growing because I have no green thumb and know the most first crops fail. I'm going to try it anyway, what the hell. It gives me somethign to do and look forward to.
Anyway glad to see another vet.
Alan
