Am I a Light or Heavy Smoker?

I have a pre-employment drug urine test coming up in a week. I have read a lot online about how to remove thc quickly from your system, and came to the conclusion that only exercise, and dilution on the day of the test works.

I read alot about how long it stays in your system, and from what I read, I learned that it's actualy quite rare to stay up to 30 days. It says for OCCASIONAL/LIGHT users it shouldn't stay for more than 3-4 days, and for HEAVY/CHRONIC users 7-10 days (with the exception of body fat and metabolism and other factors it may stay longer).

So my question is...I am a very thin person, 5'10 125 pounds. I eat alot but don't gain weight. For the past few months I have been Vaporizing 0.2 g of bud every day. I would pack up 0.2 in the vape, and just take a few hits, sit it down, and take a few more hits in a few hours...daily. Even though I vape every day, but only 0.2 g, does that put me in the LIGHT user catagory, or HEAVY user? What are my chances of passing the urine test in a week? My last vape/toke was yesterday morning and I stopped.

Cleanout timetables that you may have read online (or anywhere) should never be relied upon because they are almost always off the mark. Each persons body is different and there are too many variables to take into account to arrive at a realistic figure - so many variables in which the timetables dont take into account.

Nobody can realistically and accurately answer that due to the reasons stated above. Only periodic testing with a THC test kit (using the first void of the day for each time) can give you that answer.

Yeah I got u. I bought a few at home kits last night and am gonna test myself every few days up til my testing day. I agree though, no matter what any timetables say, you'll never know exactly how long it'll stay in you...just gotta test yourself and see if you come up positive or negative. I'll just keep exercising and if i'm still positive on test day...i'll just have to resort to dilution.

Let us know the results of your home test. I think with the vape you should be less dirty then a smoker. I have passed allot of piss tests by flushing I would just chug as much water as possible and I used to take niacin . I know the niacin doesnt work now but I used to take slow release niacin. I passed like 5 or 6 , but that nervous feeling is a bitch! I have to stay clean now because a random whizz test and I hate it.

I also heard that you shouldn't exercise a few days before your test. Is that true? If so, why is that?

That is true.

Because THC is stored in your fat cells. They remain there until the fat cells are burned for energy. When fat cells burn, the stored THC metabolites are released back into the bloodstream. From there, the THC metabolites are filtered by the kidneys and deposited in the bladder for the eventual exit. This is the main reason why THC carries a longer detection period than other types of drugs.

So if your home tests are positive, and your scheduled U/A is 3 days away, then all exercise should be curtailed until after the U/A. You want your body to revert to "storage mode" - be as dormant as possible to prevent a bunch of THC metabolites from being released into the bloodstream, which will end up in the urine to be detected.

Update. I took my first at home drug test just now. It has been approx 3 full days since my last hit. There is a control and test part...and the instructions say that a line on the 'test' part would mean negative, and no line is positive. After doing my test, there was a very faint line next to 'test' so I am assuming it's negative! The line is very very faint though, but you can definatly tell it's there, it's just extremely faint. I will take another test in a day or 2.

That whole 30 days thing might be a myth just to keep us from smoking. I wouldn't test that theory but it could be true.

When you do take your next home test, this time use the first urination of the day when THCA concentrations would be at their highest (a.k.a. the "worst-case" scenario). Taking home tests during the afternoons and/or later skews the results due to the consumption of fluids over the normal course of the day.
If you test negative under that "worst-case scenario" (regardless of line intensity) then youre good to go. :thumbsup:

Well here's the thing. I read that the reason the 30 day rule is widely accepted is because in several studies, MOST people had it out of their system within a week or 2, but there were a FEW people that had it for up to 30 days. Just because those SELECT FEW people took 30 days, the scientists or whoever did the studies...said that it took 30 days. I also think that because I am so skinny...that had a factor as to why it came back negative today. My body probably converts fat to energy very quickly, and because I only blazed 0.2 a day.

The 30-day rule definitely does not apply to everyone. Theres been many reports of a person taking a lot longer than 30 days to finally test negative.

I understand what you're saying burnt toast, there defiantly are people that have tested positive beyond the 30 day period. I believe though that those cases are exceptional. Let me also share this article I read...

You can believe what you choose. They are not even close to be exceptional for moderate to heavy smokers. I have personally read the stories of hundreds of users here and at similarly named pot smoking forums in my years of beating drug tests, where I would wager that for those who smoke daily, greater than 50% come up dirty after a month regardless of metabolism and body habitus. I am very physically fit, have very little body fat, but smoke daily. It takes me in excess of 60 days to clean out naturally every time. I have read posts of heavy, sedentary users taking over 120 days to pee clean. Even giving any credence that there might be some approximate number of days (30) for most to come up clean is a 100% fools bet imho. I would, however, say for someone who only smokes here and there that YES, 30 days is more than enough in the vast majority of cases. But if you smoke frequently, I would be not be relying on anything other than home testing with the first void of the morning to assure me I am clean. Since everyone is so different in their body, metabolism, smoking habits, quality of the weed, quantity of the weed, how deep you inhale, how long you hold, etc, etc, etc, home testing is the only way to fly.

yeah I hear u webdox. You're right everybody is different so I can't say anything about other people. Guess I just wanna believe it's true cause I really want to pass the test! The anxiety is a real bitch!

I just woke up, and using my first void of the day, I took another home drug test. There was a faint line next to drug! The line was very very faint like yesterday, but it was there! I'm starting to feel a bit better now. I just hope it's not a fluke. It has been approx. 4 full days since my last hit. I take my official lab test in 3-4 days.

That's how faint the line is. This is from this morning, using my first void of the day. Not sure how confident I feel about that...but at least it's not fully white.

Faint line is still a line. Rule of thumb is if it can be photographed (as in this case), its a line.

I just took another test using my first void of the day, this time using another brand, First Check. I got a very faint line next to drug again. This will probably be my last home test. I will update later in the week once I take my lab test and get my results. Wish me luck!

I passed my test! I am now unhappily employed! :)
