6 weeks into flowering, having a problem... help!

+ rep to anyone that can help.
I'm just under 6 weeks flowering with some bag-seed I got from my boy, he claims it was was sour diesel from our other boys bag & I was sketchy about it, till it started smelling, it smells just like sour d. I don't know anyone agrees or disagrees from the pictures, but I'm not sure.
Anyways, the bottom leaves have been yellowing slowly from the tips inward & the bottom branches have been falling off one by one after yellowing completely, and now there's these brownish spots appearing on the leaves like this & it's risen up to the top fans leaves of the plant, there's also a yellowing/ brownish on the top sugar leaves next to the nug happening. Aswell as the curling & browning of the tips of fan leaves on the top of the plant only, as shown in the pictures below... I was worried it might be heat stress, so I brought the light up a bit.
Any ideas?! Much appreciated! thank you so much.
I might throw in an extra pic or two of just the nug so far if anyone is interested.

okay this is not good this problem can kill lil miss lady, from the look of the first pic it looks like nute burn and the other pics proved thus to be right baby ya wife has too much nitrogen, flush with clean water and prey she shakes it off and comes back to, i wouldnt add anymore nutes, far that it might still be a lil weak from recovery. but during flowering it is normal for the fan leaves to turn colors, never brown!! brown is a sign og death in all plants not just cannabis. hope i helped, but if you as me from the look of the last picture she looks like king blue, my all time favorite type of kush, smh so jelious lol but good luck

I haven't added any nutes whatsoever, it's been strictly distilled water & fox farms ocean forest soil... could it be mites?

what happens if she goes down hill, can I still harvest the nugs on it, even though they're not done?

It sounds like a possible Calcium or Magnesium def. Try adding a1 tsp of Epsom salt per gallon of water, Also depending on how long shes been in that soil, she could be at a lack of nitrogen. Distilled water lacks the natural calcium and magnesium your plants get from normal tap water. If Ph is an issue with your tap water, buy some ph buffers and use tap water. Its cheaper in the long run, unless you have an RO water purifier in your house, then you will need CalMag.

Mites cause white spots to appear on top of the leafs than the leafs start to exhibit yellow spots. If you are unsure, look at the underside of the lower fan leafs and look for lil (Tiny) brown and white spots. If you look close enough, the spots should move very slowly. If you see webbing or any of these spots, you may have spider mites. If this is the case you need to NEEM the entire plant, (underside and tops of leafs), and all along the stems. I use AzaMax..... or if you need cheap and local, try: Shop Garden Safe 16 Oz. Neem Oil Extract .. At Lowes.

I'll try the epsom salt next watering, I just watered this morning. I need to get a ph meter /:
I looked under the leaves, I didn't see anything movie, they just looked like brown spots from the underside, but like yellowish from the top... I raised the light to 9 inches cause I thought it might be heat, when I raised it, the next morning I saw a big growth in the size of lower buds... if that matters? (125 watt CFL)

I wouldn't think its mites, you'd notice mites. I could take some pictures of mite damaged leaves for you if you'd like haha. I would definitely use the epsom salts, and also get some sort of nutrients to add to the soil, preferrably ff tiger bloom or something higher in phosphorus, also sorry to say it but you really need some stronger lighting on that thing.

Its always hard to tell from the pic with out the full environment and whats been going in to it. Honestly, I agree with the first comment that its chem burn. I saw you havent feed it but Ocean Forest can be very hot! I cut mine everytime I use it because I noticed burn the first couple times. If you cut with something like coco or the like it was also drain faster. I noticed in some of those pics that the leave curl like when over watered... this happens a lot with straight soil. I saw nothing that would make me think mites!

No spider mites that i can see, so your good there. If you haven't used any nutrients, i would baffled of why your plants are showing nute burn now instead of when they were younger plants. Fox farms soil tends to be hot and burn younger plants, not wait until mid flower and then burn them.

Looks like cal/mag defiency to me. Distilled water has NOTHING in it in terms of trace elements and eventually your plant will use up all micro and macro nutrients in the soil. I think its time that she gets a dosage of some Bloom Nutrients.

I have noticed that sometimes they burn a little later, like into bloom. Im not sure why. Could be new more intense light (hps vs mh/flor.), plant reaches into the light, roots stretched into newer soil, more roots uptake more nutes. Im not disagreeing with your point just that I have seen this happen a few weeks into bloom and weeks after a fresh transplant. I just think Ocean forest is hot!

Thats one of the reason i quit using it 2 years ago. Its too damn hot, doesn't have enough perlite for my liking, and late in flower i always notice a cal/mag defiency. You have to watch your ph with FFOF too, since its so hot if you don't properly balance ph when you water it tends to run really acidic.

Some of it looks like phosphorus, and some of it looks like Cal/Mg deficiencies. At any rate, I don't think we'll be able to give you a perfectly accurate answer to your problems.

what color are your stems?

drudown idk about you but I've noticed that stem color can sometimes be a poor indicator of phosphorus deficiencies. I am guessing thats why you're asking about the stem color? I think it varies greatly by strain. I have a strain that always grows with red stems and loves it, but it also doesn't have any purple color changes in the bud or anything like that without being forced.

However, stem color can definitely be an indication of that under the right circumstances.

+1 recommendation for the AzaMax! I had a nasty bout w/microscopic pests that couldn't be seen w/the naked eye. One thorough fogging of the plants w/the AzaMax 4 weeks before harvest, and not a single living mite to be found anywhere. :thumbsup:

Its not always a deficiency! Pretty much any plant under stress with turn a purple/red color.... Having said that a deficient will cause stress. I do mostly hydro in rockwool so nute deficiencies are not real common for me but pest issues and liquid light both cause the stems to change!

I am in no way trying to be rude, im just trying to get clarificadtion before. Ive read quite a few books on cannabis and have been a very active forum member and Ive never heard of Pest damage causing red stems. If you could explain this i would appreciate it, i just want to hear opposite viewpoints.

Let me clarify what i mean by red stems.

Red Leaflets, the steams connecting leaves to the actual branches, are very common in cannabis and don't really mean anything except for genetic differences. Next time you take cuttings you may notice that they start out nice and green and over time they may start to turn red while your waiting for roots to form. The plant is using its stored nutrients in order to form adventitious, while becoming deficient in the process.

A lot of plants will show spoty reddening on the main stems, but I have grown hundreds of plants and never seen one that had full on red stems that were natural. When i see red stems in my garden I know that its one of two things, a nutrient defiency or a ph problem(which in turn causes a nutrient defiency).

For sure man, We are kinda stating the same point, I think. Correct me if Im wrong, you are stating that the red is from a nute issue or a ph issue. I am expanding and saying that its a sign of stress. Stress from a deficient, ph, pests, drought, and the excess metabolizing that liquid light causes.

For some reason a flush with azamax missed up a couple of plants. Other than lack of vigor in the leaves some blood red at the stem showed up.... in one of the pics another plant is still healthy and green. It didnt get stressed like the other two did. Not real sure why... I didnt mean active damage from pests, like one would see from mites. I meant that if one has nats the larvae feeding on the roots with stress the plant out. One way to see this is when that purple/red shows up. But its not limited to pest, just stress. I hope that helps!
