Failed DOT UA need help!

On Dec.6, 2011 I took a UA for a DOT return to duty test and failed with 211n/g. The urine sample sat at the collection site for two (2) days before it was mailed off. Then it sat at MEDTOX labs for four (4) or five (5) days before being tested. I take nexium 40mg everyday for my gerd. I then went and talked with the MRO about the results and tried to explain that the nexium has been found to create false positives. I had medical info on this as well as a letter from my doctor. The MRO would not read any of it. So then I began to argue my case about the specimen being over the five(5) days of validity and he still wouldn't listen. So I went to Minnesota to a SAP (substance abuse professional) and went thru to 72hrs. of training. The SAP told me the THC would fall by half life. Well is Jan. 10, 2012 and im still testing pos.. I havent smoked since Dec.6, 2011 after I took the UA. Im 6'2 280lbs w/ a slow metabolism. I need help in getting my levels down b/c its been over 30 days and the home tests still say I'm pos.. :(

The only effective way to rid the body of THC is to exercise. I would recommend cardio along with pushups, situps, and squat thrusts. You can also add a high fiber diet(Metamucil works great) to help excrete some extra THC through your colon. These things and time alone are the only way to get clean fast.
Pick up some cheap test strips and begin testing yourself as you exercise. Remember to use the first void of the day, as it contains the highest concentration of THC.

Absolutely correct, the only thing I would add is to maintain a steady flow of electrolyte rich fluids to help flush your system.

The nexium arguement only works for the strip test, once they send it off to GC/MS confirmation test they know exactly what substance you took.
If you are a fairly consistent smoker you probably won't be able to piss clean in 30 days, it make take 60 days or more if you smoke every day.
You might want to look into subbing with synthetic urine or 100% clean urine from someone else.

THC is not water or liquid soluble, so drinking fluids will not help him to clean out faster. He will however, want to stay hydrated while he excise's to avoid dehydration.

Yes, THC is not water soluble, but the electrolytes (ions) have a tendency to attach themselves to foreign particles in the body and carry them out in your urine.

Ok sounds great everyone. I have time on my side. The idea of using synth urine or someone eles is not going to work for me cause all UA's frome here on are observed. So like I said its been a month since i last fired up and I smoked 2 joints a day (comm. weed) for a month and before that was like 4 joints every 2 weeks.

I wish you the best on this stoney, at 280 with a slow metabolism and heavy previous smoking you could be looking at 60 to 90 days before your system is is clean. So definitely keep up the exercise...lot's of cardio.

What makes you think that THC metabolites are among the ''foreign particles" that electrolytes have the tendency to attach to?

Please cite some linked sources which specifically states that electrolytes have any effect on THC metabolites, outlining an anatomical/physiological description of what is allegedly occurring.

Burnt Toast do you know if the detoxify brand Xxtra clean is a good long term detox? If so then can you point me in the direction of reviews for long term rather than short term. I have time to do something like this if it works. thanks

ALL detox products are nothing but a big scam to capitalize on the so-called "war on drugs" by preying upon the uninformed and credulous and taking their hard-earned cash.
When they do work at all, all detox products "work" because of dilution. That means they "work" because of the water that youre required by the instructions to drink with them. By consuming the drink and the fluids, you are diluting (thinning out) the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder in the hoping that the urine sample would register below the cutoff thresholds of the drug screen. The dilution phenomena, however, is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine and thus the "dirty" donor would resume testing positive for THC.
There is no product that can rid the body of THC (short or long term) regardless of what the sales pitches would like the consumer to believe. The only proven way to permanently rid the body of THC is time and fat-burning exercise.

My SAP told me not to exercise and to let the thc absorb. So is this correct or should I exercise cause I've been being a couch potato. He also said that it would fall by half life and the last test i took it had only fell by 12n/g almost 3 weeks after Dec. 6.

Exercise is helpful if you have weeks to prepare for a U/A. If your U/A is 3 days away or less, then all exercise should be curtailed and the body should revert to "storage mode". For more info, do an Advanced Search in the Drug Testing forum, using the terms "exercise metabolites".

I looked and looked and the closest I could find was " Electrolytes are essential for proper pH control and elimination of any toxic substance." found on cleanse.net

If you notice in the article, they are referring to "toxic substances" and not THC metabolites. THC is non-toxic, so therefore its erroneous to categorize THC as a toxic substance.
Anyone who considers THC a toxic substance might as well sign up for Anslingers goon squad at their local police station and start calling marijuana an epidemic that is killing America. :rolleyes:

Excercise before eating. Low fats, no sugar. Adopt the eat 6 times a day plan to keep metabolism going. Plenty of water and protein;
a min of 60G a day protein. One hour of continuous pedaling on a stationary bike with low resistance only burns about 400 calories.
Easier to not eat the "bad" stuff than burn it off later. It should be about time for an update from you...

cardi,water,gatorade
