i'm very thorough in keeping the smell of weed outta my room.

my dad's a tool, & can always smell my stinky weed when i smoke in my room! i have the ultimate way to keep the smell out of your room. or at least out of mine.

i have a mega spoof, with like 10 dryer sheets stapled to it then wrapped with a rubber band. my bed is right next to my window so i can sit and toke. i stick the spoof right out the window, smoke, and then light some incense.

IMO....there's nothing wrong with cannabis when you're in a position to provide for yourself.... If you live under your parents roof, you should respect their wishes.... At the very least, don't blaze in your room if it's not your castle....

i think your doing it right with the dryer sheets, however you need to go ahead and delete the " my dad is a tool" from your head!

Don't disrespect your dad in public. Ever. Doesn't matter what you think of him - unless he is abusive. That's a whole different story. You many not know it but you are lucky as shit to have one.

With that out of the way I'm going to try to draw a middle line. Telling you to respect the wishes of your dad on this issue is probably right, but as a reformed hellion with two boys of my own I know that you are going to do what you are going to do. So here is my advice.

1. Talk to your dad. Let him know you understand his concerns and that you will do your best to meet his expectations. You don't have to swear off dope - just let him know you will do the best you can from now on. I'm talking about everything, responsibilities, school, work, whatever. Mean it, own it and initiate the conversation. He will respect you immensely for that.

2. From now on, do your business outside of the house. There really isn't anyway around this one. A little discipline is in order.

3. This is the important one - get your priorities straight. Now I don't want to assume you don't have your priorities in order. You may be flying high on all the mile markers. But if you aren't then this applies. If dope is interfering with whatever responsibilities your have, work, school, etc. then you need to cool out, cut back, get your shit in order and move forward. The sooner you learn this one the better off you will be. Dope, girls, fast cars, etc. sure are fun but they don't pay the bills and they don't last forever. Sooner or later you're going to be paying your own bills. That day is coming faster than you think.

4. Now here's the good part. Once you have the path to item 3. nailed down you can carve out a nice little life where dope, girls (or boys whatever), cars, etc. can be a decent part of your life. And no one will give a shit b/c you are meeting expectations. And if they do, you don't have to give a shit.

The best advice I ever got came from my mom at ages 5, 10, and 15. She told me - it's all about the choices you make in the next 5 years. And she was so right. I listened but could have listened better and sooner! I'd say this applies until you are oh, about 22. After that your life path becomes pretty difficult to alter significantly, or at least it requires a much higher level of effort.

1st is Young,dumb and full of cum! Then from 14 till around 25.. 2nd years 25-38 or thereabouts, is the knowledgeable stage. Your brain is'nt fully developed till your around 25. Yes, be thankful for your dad. My dad has a family with another lady and a daughter and two grand kids. He walked out of my life when I was two, after my mom died. I wish he was here to give me shit about smoking ;)
Everything happens for a reason though, whatever happens between you and your dad will hopefully only make the relationship stronger. Don't break that trust with him, once you lose it, its hard to gain it back.

I never smoked weed till after I moved out and had my own place (didn't want my roomate to complain, it was her house). You do need to respect other ppls houses, parents or not. They pay, not u.

oh, i get whatcha mean now! yeah, i've asked my dad a couple of times if he'd smoke with me, but he won't. he's way too uptight. love the man, but he's really shitty sometimes! & it kills my buzz all the timee.

yeah, i agree, it's kinda bullshit. i have a job, i go to school, and i pay for my own stuff mostly. i dunno what more he has to complain about besides the fact that i live under his roof & smoke.. which is also bs because ninety percent of the time, i'm not at home because i'm too busy + sometimes have a social life. the only time i'm really home is to sleep..lol. and even when i am home, i'm in my bedroom all the time! so i dunno why he's so stuck up & stingy.. ugh!

When I was young I had a dark garden hose run along side of the rain gutter down spout, it went up to the roof with my end into my bedroom, all I had to do was gently blow the smoke into the hose and up it went with the natural convection current, very convient that bush by my widow. But you may discover that your old man may be more savay that you think, or even....perhaps been there and done that. Perhaps with results ... But I must say you have found a way to adapt to your own environment, good luck!

i seriously doubt that my uptight dad will ever smoke with me. he has a drug test to pass anyway, and no money for detox drinks.

the hose thing sounds sweet! but i just open my window a little,stick the end of the spoof out & blow in. the smoke goes directly out + doesn't come back into my room. then the incense i burn is just for extra safety. :p works wonders!

hey kuskforcologne......i have done the dryer sheet thing when i was in high school and college in the early 90s....it does work and people will only wonder why it smells like the laundry when you are smoking....dont worry too much about your dad and what people are making as suggestions....go to college, learn, party and then you will see that you all miss your family.....and that life is not what you thought it was like in high school.......peace and pot

@painretreat yes, very many all nighters. :p adderall is a godsend.

@qquestionmark i'm sure if you just open a window and just hold the cigarette out / blow the smoke out the window, the smell will lessen. but unlike weed smell, cigarette smell stays. it's easier to get rid of the smell of weed.
