Resin production??

whats the determining factor for resin production? is it growing methods and care? Is it strain dependent? how do you get the a plant to produce its full potential?

I grew some bag seed that grew strong and healthy but hardly had any resin on buds or leaves. just curious if it was something i did.

Yes, for size and weight.


Is it strain dependent?

Mostly, yes. The Hemp plant is large, healthy, great for making rope, but not very psychoactive.

how do you get the a plant to produce its full potential?

molasses! look at organic post or products you will find what your looking for. more sugars = more resin

i'm not so sure more sugar = more resin...the plant does not even uptake the sugar from the molasses...the molasses feeds the mico organisms in the soil. that's kinda like saying the molasses makes the bud taste sweeter.. complete crap

I knew that! sensizyme does the job to transforme sugar for the plant, and you could use bloombastic from atami it works a little bit. but it's to expensive in my opinion!

bag seed is hit and miss. most of which will hermie. to reach full potential you need two things...quality genetics and then you need to understand how to grow them. practice makes perfect so study(yes your back in school again) and practice some more. keep your program simple until your get more confident...study some more and practice...repeat process.:stoned:

and also look at white strains they produce lots of resins!!!!

And the bagseed hermie issues depends on how plant was fertilized to produce the seed, If it's because of fellow female hermie issues it's bad! but if it's from regular true male polinisation it's good. The problem is how do you know what created the seed. You cant bummer, unless you know the grower that it came from!!!!

most growers cull the males, breeders keep specific males and moms. bag seed is usually a hermie problem or as with schwag a degredation of the line itself and consequently has a bad hermie ratio. makes for good practice though.

i trust seeds coming from plants grown outside more than inside. For the reason you just stated!!

still growers are nothing but honey bees spreading pollen through human intervention. stabilization is the key to a new strain, or so i am to understand.
