Moved from 24/7 MH to ~12/12 outdoors -- slow flowering?

So, I'm in SoCal and we're getting close to a 12/12 outdoor lighting schedule, so I moved two Pre-98 Bubba Kushes and 1 Lavender Kush (who may be mislabled, because she's showing a little sativa) out from under my 24/7 mh bulbs into my backyard. They've been there almost two weeks and I don't see any definite signs of flowering. It's almost like they are in a retarded veg state. Is this normal?

Also, I should add that I'm a card carrying medical patient and that my 3 little bushes are well under what is allowed by state and local governments and intended only for personal use.

Give them another week, unless you are familiar with the plant and how it grows under amperage I would not worry about it. You shock the hell out of a plant by doing this so watch for nanners.

How big/old where they when you put em out? Did they go thru a more noticeable stretch in those 2 weeks? or Did they slow down altogether?
Sometimes MJ needs to be 'hardened' for outside environment. (ie: outside for a couple hours one day, then more the next, and so on).

The plants had probably about 7-8 weeks of veg on them when I switched them, and they've really never looked better. I'm seeing New growth on all three of them and the lavender is really starting to reach for the sky because of the sativa in her (I thought she was pure indica, but double checked this morning and found out otherwise). The lav has probably put on 5 inches since I moved her. Since I got these from clone stock, they were already showing sex when I got them and so far there haven't been any aberrations or anomalies.

Here are two pics I took. Not the best in the world, but I'm wondering if this looks like the tiniest onset of flowers to anyone.

This one is an out of focus side view of the top of my lav -- you can still make out distinct shapes, and I think the new nodes are starting to alternate/spiral.

They may have experienced some shock due to the intense light of the sun and it may take a week or two to pull out of it. Generally you should ease them back into the natural sun.

I'm pretty sure though, that the MH lights I had them under previously were more intense than the sun here, at the moment.

Anyway, It kinda seems like I may not be able to see the forest for the trees. When I view them from afar, I can definitely tell that there are bud sites forming. But, here are some additional pics for added benefit.

Here are my gals. Two pre-98s and one Lavender. Late into flowering, all three of these should take on a super deep purple.

The comparison isn't even remotely close, even on a cloudy day you'll get more light.

What a difference a day makes.

Also, sure enough, as soon as I get someone to look at my problems, they tend to disappear. :P

I checked this morning, and the lavender is not only showing definite calyxes, they've doubled in size since yesterday and are starting to smell nice. The pre-98s are also showing them, but in a slightly different pattern and different color. Also starting to smell nice. :) This has me relieved and excited.

From what I can tell, the veg on both of these strains can show a very deep purple in late flowering. I'm going to start checking out what I can do to amplify/trigger this trait. Everything I've read so far seems to indicate that it's related to temperature swings, so I'm going to research that a little more. I live close to the water, which tends to have a regulatory effect on day/night temps.

Back in my soil grows I use to play with the option of taking them outside, back and forth. I live in Washington, where a summer day can be 80-90 and the very next day, low 60s. But as long as the handling is gentle, the plants love the sun, and it's like they open up their arms and embrace it. But also, flowering does take a while, and in your pictures I dont see any white pistils. IMO there's nothing to worry about, your plants look great and they look like they are about to go into full swing. I will say though, any kind of added shock during flower stage, IE moving them, will have greater effects then if in Veg. I personally have noticed this with my own experiments..

I have one plant with purple flowers and I think this one is genetic because all of my plants are growing under the same environment and only one has purple flowers.

The pics don't really capture it. The lav is definitely starting to show pistils and I've got a bunch of sepals and new bud sites on the pre-98s. :) I'm pretty committed to finishing these outside, so the only moving I'm doing is daily rotation. I'm starting to feel really good about these and just know that the more I tamper, the more chances I have to mess it all up.

Out of curiosity, what are you growing? It definitely sounds like it's in the genotype if they are all the same.

A batch of seeds from a friend who got them all from the same plant last year. All the plants grew out the exact same except for this one plant. The pistils started out white but as they grew out turned purple and the flower development is different from the rest, my guess is this particular plant is Indica dominant.

Most of the large sun leaves have died off but the branches are very, very heavey with small sun leaves bunched up around the flowers. All of the other non clones had very large and fat leaves all the way up until harvest and the buds were well developed with minimal leaf material surrounding them.
It is possible he got this particular seed from a different source or it could have just been laying around. He just handed me 20 seeds and asked me to grow him a nice plant.

Here's a (bad) side shot of what's becoming the top cola. Look close to the main stem and you can see 3 bud sites forming right at the top.
