Interested in speaking with someone in southern NM
Title pretty much says it. Looking for anyone knowledgable in application process and stats that aren't readily available on the Internet. I am currently in Alamo until Monday. I am interested in possibly trying to become a producer for the Alamo/cruces/ruidoso area. From what I have read this might be a waste of time pursuing this venture? Seems that even if you meet all requirements you could still be stone-walled? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum and southern NM. Stonewalling isn't exactly what is happening at this point. There is a lawsuit against the state, the governor, the secretary of health, the DOH and others which is taking time away from the program. Additionally, since the plant numbers were increased, there is a surplus of medicine available from some of the producers. So, until the patient numbers increase and the lawsuit is settled, producer apps are on hold. If you are a registered patient, you can contact one of the current producers on the list (there is one in Las Cruces and one in Ruidoso currently) and ask for help. Otherwise, all of the information to become a producer is available in the rules and regs available on the DOH website. Good luck!

ManOBuds,
What reason would you cite as to why you would not enroll with them?
Is it a personal preference issue or is there a potential danger to patients that others should know about?
Thank you for your input - CannaHub

Potential danger that I won't go into detail about here.
