Hi everybody.
I've been reading a lot here and elsewhere about dilution, and I'm at least a little more at ease than I was a week ago.
I'm 47 years old, 6'4" and 250 lbs. I carry all of my extra weight in my midsection. Today is 21 days without smoking, and I'll have to test in a week or so (for a job that pays $13k more than my current job - so pretty important). Before that I was a daily smoker, so I'm sure my fat is well-saturated.
I guess my main question is, since I have such a high fat content (horribly high LDL cholesterol and triglycerides) in my bloodstream will I be able to dilute enough to pass? I know there are some very knowledgeable folks here, so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I'm working on getting my lipid numbers down. It has been a struggle, but I'll get there.

Without knowing how high the THCA concentration is that is present in your bladder, nobody can give you an answer to that. Have you been testing yourself and coming up "dirty" (using the first urination of the day)?
You would have to obtain a few THC test kits and do a couple of practice runs with dilution in order to determine if youre able to dilute enough to pass.
Keep in mind though that dilution techniques (in any configuration) can backfire if the THCA concentration in the bladder is too high. For most longtime daily users, it would be virtually impossible to dilute that concentration enough without overdiluting and sending up the red flags at the lab.

spend all day purging.drink water i mean lots of it.gallons. eat niacian and spend the day sweating in hot bathtub.niacin will make u sweat so will the hot water..you will feel like shit, but u will sweat a lot out..and piss a lot out.drink lots of water.along with the 30 ish days of not smoking u should be ok.but test yourself!

Take a home test on your first void of the day, if you pass that then you'll be good for your test (which you should still drink a powerade and void a few times before). IF you fail the home test, then look into diluting or substitution, but no point in doing all of that if you're already clean. If you get caught subbing your in a lot of trouble, if they detect you diluted you will have to retest (which isn't the worst thing). But the moral is, if your clean, why risk it? Take a home test, then go on to the next steps.

Still dirty as of this morning (not even a hint of a faint line), so I guess it's time to start making a decision about what route to go. I'm thinking substitution is the less risky option. I can easily get clean human urine - and probably get it the morning of the test.
I'm a little worried about the fact that I'll have to get a physical at the same time, and I don't know how "intrusive" that will be. What do you all think about simply a flat plastic bottle and a warmer in the front pants pocket?

This is nothing more than an old myth, perhaps the oldest drug testing myth in existence. Niacin does nothing to rid the body of THC. The people who claim to have passed U/As after taking niacin had also consumed enough water/fluids to facilitate dilution. The dilution factor is the real hero here - not the niacin. They wouldve passed that same test that same day anyway, just on the waterloading alone and without the niacin to go with it.
Drinking a bunch of water days before the test is of no help. And very little THC is excreted via sweat. The primary pathway to THC excretion is via the urine and bowels.

Guess I got lucky then as its worked for me several times. I know the niacian dosent rid your body but I thought the sweating did.and niacian sure makes u sweat if you eat enough of it.

I think the niacian is to make it yellow instead of clear from all the water. but yeah, I think THC is stored in your fat and is not really diluted all that much from water.

For the sake of argument - Since you understand that niacin doesnt rid your body of THC, how can you then conclude that it was the niacin that was responsible for you passing?

But as stated, the amount of THC being excreted via the sweat will be miniscule. The rest are being excreted via the urine and bowels.

Actually, the proper vitamin to use for color is B2 (Riboflavin).

Yes, THC is stored in the fat and is not affected by water consumption at this point. But when fat cells burn and release THCA back into the bloodstream and end up in the urine, the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder is what gets diluted by fluid consumption.

Still dirty as of this morning - 23 days without smoking. I had read that the THC metabolites stick to triglycerides. I know there are at least a couple of medical professionals here who can explain the mechanics to me. It looks like by the time I test I'll have 30-32 non-smoking days under my belt. Given my tainted (lol) blood, is there any chance I'll be able to go in and test without substituting?
It's going to be a urine test/physical, which will make substitution a little riskier. I'll see if I can do any research on the testing facility when I find out which one it is. I HATE being unprepared - being prepared for the interview is what got me the job, and it's unthinkable to me that it'll slip through my fingers because of my recreational activities.
Thanks for all the replies so far. I plan to stick around once I get past this. I'm obsessing over it, and really need to figure something out that will give me some peace of mind. So far, I'm still thinking substituting is what will end up being the plan. Thanks again.
