Hey all iv been smokin the herb for about 10 years now mosty in pipes i have the odd j now and again but just about the last 3years i can just about make a oz last me 6days if i take it easy.:rastasmoke: Let me know how much you smoke?? (as the missis keeps saying i smoke to much and im like dont be so stupid):stoned:

Is it really possible to smoke too much? Calibrate your scale...maybe it's really only a half oz every 6 days....or maybe get a smaller bowl...or better weed...there ain't no way you could smoke an oz of my stuff in 6 days by yourself...I know, I've tried!!! 40 years ago we would smoke an O in one night, but you kinda had to sometimes just to catch a slight buzz...
I smoke about 6 lbs a year. About 1/4 oz a day. When I first harvested I could barely smoke a joint or two. But you do build up a tolerance and can smoke pretty good weed with little effort. The best ones this year were Sour Diesel, Mendocino Purple, Querkle, Cheese, Pure Kush, Headband, Blue Dream, White Kush and a few others I can't recall at this moment. I just smoked a fatty of cheese. Mendo Purp and Querkle were pleasant surprises this year. Very stony and great taste. In previous years White Widow, Bliss and Lambs Bread produced the most awesome buds.
Tankjr what strain do you have that you believe is too strong. I try to find all strains that folks rave about. I am looking for Casey Jones, Chocolate Chunk, Bliss, Sensi Star, Nor Cal Daddys Girl, Chem Dawg C4 and Kens Grand Daddy for example. I have just acquired Jack Herrer, Chernobyl and UK Cheese to grow this summer.
It did get to a point were i was working for the bud till i got myself some seeds. Yeah you probs right the smoke here (uk) is shit so that does not help. Also rudy2010 get the uk cheese on the go my god its very good
Thanks I was wondering about that one. The cheese is excellent. Folks keep asking if there is hash in the joint but there is not. I can't wait to try the UK Cheese. The Chernobyl came highly recommended also. I have heard good and bad about the Jack Herrer. Hopefully I have one of the killer genomes. I would like to hear what strain Tankjr is smoking too.
plain old regular AK-47...the real deal. Not auto, not from seed, not from the US, not diluted. I never said it was TOO strong tho! LOL! For medical purposes, it's amazing...for partying, it's also amazing! I been loving this since I was gifted some clones of it 4 years ago. I may be biased, but I haven't had anything better...had lot's of different and good on it's own, but not better. YET! There's always hope!
Yeah, I remember the $10 three and four finger lids as well as the $7.50 ones.
The amount of bud that I smoke has dropped significantly since I started medicating orally with oil and vaporizing it for interim medication as needed.
I was smoking (self medicating) from none to about an ounce a month from the 60's to 2005 when I became a MMJ patient.
I was vaporizing about two ounces of bud a month as a MMJ patient, when I started tapering off and smoke maybe half an ounce a month currently because I just like the flavor.
The prime reason that I use oil, is that it works better for my pain, but the reason that I started looking into alternate ingestion methods in the first place is what smoking cannabis has done to my bronchial tubes since the 60's.
My lungs are actually still doing great, but it isn't cool developing bronchial asthma in my dotage and I only wish I had addressed it sooner.
I hope at least one of ya'll who is a heavy cannabis smoker, will benefit from reading this and start investigating alternate ingestion methods, before respiratory issues rear their ugly head in your lives.

PS: I forgot to mention that after ingesting oil long enough, I lost my ability to experience a euphoric high, and that I never smoke the same bud two days in a row.
My old smoking and vaporizing standby is still Trainwreck, but I currently am rotating between 27 different strains.
Yea, let me back up a little on this "you couldn't smoke an oz of my stuff in 6 days" statement...of course you could... but it would be very wasteful...two or three hits is all you need, and I know the difference between a want and a need...Maybe that's why my lungs are ok..I just get medicated, then stop for awhile. As far as building up a resistance to it, well, I think your correct to a degree, then one reaches a plateau of sorts and that's where I've been at for about 18 years, and I haven't had to take anything else for pain except the occasional ibuprofen or 2...I use oil, too...it's what I do with trimmings, but I smoke it also...55+ and no lung issues, 40+ years smoking this AND tobacco both, in moderation! Guess I just got good lungs...I have been smearing a little oil on what I suspect may be an odd looking mole, or worst case, skin cancer...let ya know if it does anything...I do remember smoking oz's between 2 or 3 friends in one night, but that was 40 years ago, and I was an indestructable 15 yo teenager then, LOL! , and the weed quality has improved considerably over that time...(Thank you breeders!) and I'm 40 years smarter! I do love my AK tho...TW is very good for pain, too, but doesn't seem to yield as much as my AK.
4 Grams of top shelf socal medical lasts me a little less than a week....

Thanks for the update Tankjr. I tried to grow some AK47 a couple of times but killed the plant I bought twice. I just figured it was not to be for the AK. I may have to give it another try. I have a list of strains I am always looking for and I can add that back to the list.
To be sure I smoke much more just after the fall harvest than the rest of the year. I need to grade the strains I grew so I know what to grow the next year. I am always looking for the best taste and high on outdoor weed after it is cured. So far year in and year out Sour Diesel is always on the money for me. I will always grow several of those.
Good to see Back Woods Drifter back to contributing to the forum. I hope you do get to smoke even more next year.
I am always looking for Chocolate Chunk, Bliss, Sensi Star, Nor Cal Daddys Girl and a few others that I can never find. I should be able to locate a Northern Lights and an AK47 for this summer season and I am hoping to find Kens Grand Daddy and Chem Dawg C4.
I smoke between a qtr to a half oz a week because that's all i can afford:(

I grow outdoor so I always have some early breakage from wind and animal damage to smoke. I think that I should have enough this year though to make to through to November when the new crop will be starting to be dry. I harvest through October and November since I wait until the trichs are ready. I just don't let the choppers flying over bother me or actually cause me to harvest early.
Ive smoked weed every day for about 6 years now and i can say i can smoke quite a bit, but the thing you need to realize is its not the amount its the methods. I could easily smoke a fat O of good shit in one night if hitting blunts, but not bong. another thing is different strains mean very little 1 because the chemicals are all mostly the same and 2 the growing conditions and environment affect the THC content.
Yeah your probs right TANKJR i find if i have a smoke when i get up no matter how much i smoke later on in the day i never get the same hit as in the morring. I think your body can only take so much THC
I HIGHly recommend AK47, Rudy....I love it and I find it very easy to grow! Give it a try again sometime.
I'm a daily (sometimes hourly!) smoker for many years, and I still find I can get very high off this stuff w/o smokin more than two or three puffs every few hours or so...very tasty and great for pain, too!
It cuts down on the time I spend puffing considerably too! Yea, I'm pretty buzzed right now...LOL!
Are you serious? You guys must be some serious lightweights for real.. thats like 4.5 grams a day. Thats nothing. I know people that smoke a quarter a day just for the hell of it. Even smoking out of bowls and bongs I could smoke 5 grams in a day if I really wanted.. not that I would. If you roll blunts and j's its that much easierQuote:

Tankjr I definitely plan to go with another AK47 this summer. It is a fairly common strain. I just hope I get a good genome. I will try to avoid the autoflower and such. Of the last two I had I killed one by drought and one by clumsy. Definitely my own fault. I am going to make sure I pick up a Northern Lights this season too. Both strains are fairly common. The NL seems to be a main cross for many tasty strains. I just started cutting out my clones so I will have lots of Sour Diesel and others. I should be able to get into my property this weekend or early next week. There has been too much snow until now.

During the week I usually come home and smoke a bowl after work, and another before bed. On the weekends it's all about the wake and bake! I find smoking like this helps make sure my 20 or 40 bag will last until payday..
I'm a medical user dealing through the black and gray markets. It's amazing how much pot some MMJ growers lose. :D

I prefer a heavy indica to a light sativa, I'm finding more and more. You can't do much harm to yourself if you're bolted to the couch, you know? Most days, I need the body stone to lock me to the chair so I don't do something reckless and stupid. The doctors call me 'ambivalent'; whatever that means :i feel stupid:
Anyway, the indica's are perfect for my PTSD and Schizophrenia. I just got some really reliable advice that White Widow would be perfect for my PTSD, so I'm hoping to get some money together by the end of the next grow for femmed seeds.
Hopefully these three and a half auto's I have coming in will tide me over for the next two to three months.
hello. i used to smoke until I ran out of breath. the better it was, the longer it would be until i exhaled: if at all :) i would experience, then live a few hours, and depending upon situations, experience again. i became very experienced. now that i live in Alabama, it's the only experience i can not forget. peace.
