It really ticks me off....

I went on a small trip a couple of weeks ago through several States, I was astounded to see advertising almost everywhere for gun/knife shows. I counted 9 different exhibitions! Does anyone else see a problem here?

I suppose I should not be so amazed or dumbfounded by the fact that anyone of legal age can buy a gun, yet we are terrified of a plant. Personally I would much rather have a doob pointed at me than a gun. The Supreme Court chief justice in my state says the authorities and the criminal justice system needs to focus more on violent offenders and offenses and especially those committed against children. There by making it possible to free some of the overcowded prison facilities by eliminating some non-violent sentencing. I am totally for this of course. Perhaps with all that is happening in the western states, our governments are finally realizing there are much worse things out there than people sitting around getting healed by medicine and enjoying it's side effects.

I am a "patient", I used the quotes not too say that I am just a recreational user. I have chronic aniety and manic depression. As a result I suffered for many years with a debilitating digestive illness, ulcerative colitis. With my conditions every stress in my life exacerbated the colitis. I finally ended up having surgery to remove my entire colon and now I have an ostomy.

Had I the opportunity to discover the healinig effects of medicinal cannabis before it was too late I may still be a whole person.

Of course now the digestive condition is gone but the psychological conditions remain. I discovered cannabis as a means to control my sometimes erratic thoughts and calm my panic attacks and fits of anger/rage. I need this medicine but am forbidden to have it by the powers that be. I find this maddening. Would a 3 foot tall barely animate (certainly not threatening) plant growing in someone's closet be more of a threat than a gun in the hands of someone who merely had to fill out a card and hand someone some cash to buy a weapon legally? or worse yet, hand some thug a stack of cash and buy it illegally? Why should any person be forced too choose between being happy and healthy, or possibly loosing their freedom? Or ironically, getting shot by a legally purchased 9mm in a crime ridden area while trying to 'get his/her "prescription" filled'.

Come on America, WAKE THE F UP!!!!

Can't I have my guns and my weed? I don't shoot people...this is not a good comparison tho...kinda like comparing apples and tanks...:wtf:

Because this is such a touch subject, I am only going to say this once. I resigned as a moderator position from a forum over a related incident.

As an ex-marine and competitor shooter, I 100% support an American citizen's right to own a firearm to defend their home and hearth!!!!!!!!!!!

As a citizen, I am concerned about whom some of whom those people are, given what they openly demonstrate about their apparent mental stability.

May I suggest that the feds pay close attention to talk about guns and deligate their resourses accordingly? If you want them in your lap, talk extensively about firearms instead of the focus of this forum, as I see it, which is cannabis.

Not a challenge to firearm ownership, as I am a staunch supporter of our second ammendment rights, only an observation that talk about firearms draws unwanted attention from our antagonists!

I ask tongue in cheek, whether it is more important to stuff the issue of firearms up the kazoo of the opposition, or simply stay just out of their gunsights as long as they hold such public sway, given the dollars donated to their cause from both legitimate and illigitimate criminal sources?

When playing against a stacked deck, fairness, truth, and justice are a joke, and only perpetrated against the naive and unwary! The velvet gloves have been removed and only the iron fist can be seen from my perspective!

A bazzilion dollars are being spent to thwart our movement, by those whom stand to profit from our stalemate.

In my personal opinion, drawing second ammendment issues to our own medical MJ issues is counter productive and diminishes our efforts! One man's opinion, and one that is certainly open to controversy!!!!!!!!!

Knowing Texas, they probably will be available in campus bookstores, tho, DP....along with gun cleaning kits and ammo, red dot scopes, gel grips, etc, etc...they will probably even have credit hour courses for firearms, too! "What's your major?"..."Marksmanship with a minor in close quarters combat shooting..."

I love America. Shut up about my government haha it's the PEOPLE's fault. Yes weed should be legal since liquor, cigarettes, and guns are too. But to compare the two as reasoning is a fallacy in logic. Perhaps we should legalize public masturbation, it doesn't kill anybody.... Not really but do you see my point? And if you don't like our government you could always try the one in Mexico. :D
