i am 15, and last week i got arrested for about 5 grams of marijuana, i also had a pipe, and a knife on me. i live in South Carolina, and i am very worried about what my punishment will be for this, can someone please help tell me whats going to happen?
probably meet with Judge Dread & lots of strange people
get a lawyer and only speak to them. try make sure its kept off your record if they even prosecute you. good luck.
if they do prosecute me what will they make me do?
Most likely community service. BUT, do a search on the laws for your state in regard to underaged drug offenses and charges on google.Quote:

i was diagnosed with ADHD when i was in middle school, and the meds they put me on did nothing but make me feel strange, when i got to high school i would always hear about everyone smoking marijuana so i decided to do some research. i discovered that all these laws against it are just wrong, if they want people to respect the law then why would you make a law that will do no good for the community? marijuana helps me allot. it helps me relax, it slows me down so i can concentrate on my work without being distracted as easy, it helps me sleep, and it makes me hungry enough to go home and eat (witch is a good thing for me because im small and underweight) i even have better grades since i started smoking. and now i have all these problems, no thanks to these unjust laws. it has torn my family apart... i hope things get better, and i hope someone will have the courage to stand up for me in court, but i doubt it:(
and for future reference, when medical marijuana is legal in my state, will i beable to get a prescription for my ADHD?
THIS IS what you need to state when you get to court and to the people whom will be deciding your fate. How much MJ has helped you and made you a better student. This is what unbiased jurors will need to hear from you if it goes to a jury trial which I highly doubt it will come to that.Quote:

Please try not to stress yourself out over this little incident that you have stumbled upon. Life is full of turns, curves and learning experiences. Talk to your family I am sure there is someone who will stand up and state what a better person this has made you with your condition. I know I would if you were my son, brother, father, uncle, etc. ;)
dont know whats the law there but here in ireland you would prob get 100 community service for 5 grams and suspended for knife.:mad::mad::mad:
what if they dont believe me that it helps me?
knowing most of the people around here with authority will be like
"he probably just thinks it helps him because hes addicted"
marijuana is not addicting.. i haven't smoked for weeks and i am doing ok, yeah i have to deal with all the problems i didn't have to deal with when i was smoking, like getting enough sleep, ect. and i have to deal with all the problems at home and everything.. but what if they try to put me in rehab for this? ugh:(

that just means that they decided to charge with a crime. this might not even happen, but if it does it just means that you have been charged and have to defend against the charge with your attorney. I would think a good attorney should be able to get you community service and maybe even no record but I'm not an attorney so I would just be guessing. best to find one soon and listen to them. it makes all the difference in the world. :twocents: good luck. many of of us know what your going thu. :(Quote:

Usually in these peddy drug cases the cop violated one or two of your rights in the process of busting you. If he did having a lawyer that knows the law will almost guarantee you getting off scott free. In my experience iv seen alot of drug cases get thrown out for illiegel searches and what not and these cases have been for ALOT more then 5 grams lol.

you'll be ok bud. just get a lawyer and fight it. if you cant, tell em you were experimenting and it was the first time you've ever done pot and after going through the experience you went through you learned that it is unacceptable for a minor to use marijuana recreationally without the consent of a licensed physician. thats what i'd say:rastasmoke:
