I got some clones fron the club the other day and it just seems like it came from them but they dont realy have it yet. I use FFoF soil, alaska fish emulsion, water every other day. I added a bigger fan the other day for more air circulation. Not much else has changed. I came up with powdery mildew on my plants in flower. They seem ok. This small room was cleaned also. heres a link to that problem. Maybe they have something in common:wtf::wtf:

you have to spray them....do it like 3 times in a week and it should go away.

most likely they had it before you purchased them, but it did not show till you got them home.

"P" Deficiency?

I recently got hit with something real similar,.... only effected a couple plants tho. I've settled on P Def as the problem, tho I'm not certain of the cause on those few plants.

I'm suspect of the soil tho, FF had a bad batch of soil that was released, had fungus gnats in it,... I'm wondering if it was P deficient as well, because the problem hit just a few plants that went into dirt from the same bag 2 bags ago. :wtf:

I've noticed FFOF mix was off too, and I have a plant or two doing the same thing. Now, there is a sale on for FFOF for $10.00, some places its $12.00. I need some so I hope is a good batch!!! :D

I have the similar problem and it started right after i pointed a fan on those leafs. First I thought they got old and died, they are the lowest leafsets (4th-5th) I'm using bloom nutrients which are poor in phosphorus.

Here are the pictures. They don't get much light but cool air. I lowered the speed of the fan about a day ago. Haven't done anything else yet. Another plant far from the fan having similar old leaves death. This makes me think its not directly connected with fan. I am also suspicious about P deficiency. But still can be connected with air. They got too much air but not enough elements to use, dried out. I am thinking very simple, am I?

when I first saw it I thought the same thing,.... "Shit this is spreading!?!? It's gotta be some sort of pathogen"

But it didn't jump to "All" of my plants, and only seemed to be effecting the ones that got potted into the 1 bag of dirt :wtf: There's no signs of spores, growths, insects,.... nothing. I even pulled em out of the pots and took a good look at the roots.


I'll keep you posted on my efforts to raise my "P" and what if any effect it has on the "Spread" of the problem.

Man, its tough to figure out cause it will take time.

Also, I took clones from the new girls and they dont have it yet.

I might just leave those in the RWCs for awhile and see if they get it. that might tell me its the soil.
Anouther thing I did was reused a bucket of soil that held my small males I pulled/killed. The soil stayed aired out in the garage. Not sure what that could do but?

I also just read about the no pest strips and not leaving them in there too long because of residue.

Lets just hope for the best and see if we can work this out.

Was talking with a Hydro store owner,... said he had to send a pallet of soil back because of gnats,....

I got a bag from a different store about 2 weeks later, after potting the first plant into it I saw a few wingged things in my room,.... I told the other store about the bugs, and checked with yet another to see if they had the same problem,... yes, and yes.... but I was still stuck with half a screwed up bag.:(

No problem tho, "Don't bug me" has knocked them out before, and worked again,... also a light Neem misting on the soil sure doesn't hurt,.... all my girls get it in vege.

Anyway, I can't be certain if the soil it self is P deficient, but the plants that went into that dirt didn't fair as well. It wouldn't surprise me if aside from the bugs that something else was wrong with the mix.

I've up potted and gotten some recovery on my (Hermi :mad: found that out AFTER I up potted! :cursing: ) ISS mother, and did a root prune and re-potting on my blueberry mother,.... again same results getting recovery. The White Widow that was effected has only gotten a tea of high P fert, and it's doing better, but not as quickly as the others..... She's due for a new home anyway.

doesnt look like a pathogen completely, to me, looks like a difficency then something is getting on the leaves while the the plant is sickend. I am gonna go with a flush and start using calmag on a regular. problem with soil is it doesnt have agage for when the nutes are all used up, so mabey like theri saying the batch is old and some of the nutrients are gon, or mabey they were not as abundant. also fist things first check ph of run off, and ph goin in,

if theri on then a flush would help and during the final flush of the pot add some light nutes and some calmag, thats what it looks like to me a cal mag defficency or a lock out, then something is getting on those leaves while theri sick , a easy food source. so some neem protection should help, how ever the sik leaves are not gonna get better so the real bad ones can come off, however leave the ones with green on, so you can monitor the progress, also if you take oall the leaves off the harvest is greatly going down too.

this is the biggest reson i am shying away from soil, it is harder to monitor the nutrinrts in theri and their are far better mediums out theri and if your goin to reuse the soil you have to take even more precautions, so I am realy leaning toward coco, becaesu of its simplisity and ability to be reused.

Any chance you could take better photos? At this point it looks like a nute problem.

Its a bad batch of Fox Farm. I have some that did the same thing. I've been giving them only water and lite nutes occasionally. I really should put them in a bigger pots, since it only two from seed, but I'm kinda undecided as to what I'm going to do. I need to flower them and the others but ................:confused: with things right now. Its the soil so flush, flush or transplant into new. :thumbsup:

I went and cleaned everything, took longer then I wanted. I put my lil girls back in too soon and aslo sprayed the whole plant,top and bottom. Im thinking too much shit in the room:( Seem fine now caus I plucked all the bad ones off but if it was a nute diff then Id think Id still see new, no? So far so good. The thing that gets me is I sprayed my big girls pretty hevy too. Maybe caus they are tougher?

were the big girls up potted into soil from the same bag that the littler sick girls are in?

I got thinking about it, and it seems to only be effecting my vege girls,... but I didn't use a whole bag on them,..... the rest of the bag went into flowering plants,.... but my flowering wasn't messed up. :wtf:

Here's my theory,

the soil is heavily P Deficient

I don't normally feed in vege, so there was no fresh source of P resulting in problems

I DO however feed in Flower, so while still slightly deficient, there was some compensation minimizing the effect,.... tho I'm now nearing the end of flower and thinking that I lost a LOT of yield by not catching this earlier. :( Reduced flower formations are another sign of P deficiency,.... and these buds are MUCH smaller than the last grow of the strain.

I'm knocking it up to being the soil, keep an eye on your girls.

did you flush? if so are the pots still saturated, mabey theri suffocating? but if you flusehd and your runoff is at 6.0 or close then andd some calmg to your nutes, the spots look like a calcium magnesium type of defficency and lately it has been ahppening alot for soil growers. I dont know why but mabey the soil is out of some nutes?

I was told I had the same deffiencies. I transplanted my 2 females into 5 gallon pots, and put in FFOF. Followed the instuctions on the Cal-Mag bottle and have been waiting since. I have seen a slight improvement when it comes to the color of the leafes, but I'm being patient.:thumbsup:

the damaged leaves will not get better the damage is done, but the new growth should be green and better. Also in soil sometimes it takes like a week or 2 (depending how big the plant is) to see better esults, but the yellowing should stop and the spots should not spread any more after you see the plant getting better. I dont know what it is but lately this same problem is coming up. Mabey its just the strains that peoples are into now? those hard core indica strains that will grow alsmost anywhere are not in everyones garden anymore, people want to try the more hybrid stuff is what im thinkin, but im prty lost on this too?

Ok guys, I didnt do a dam thing but pu;; all the dead leaves off. Guess what, they are better and growing like nothing happend. The spray did it. Why it didnt affect my flowering one I dont know. But all is well. Thanks for looking out, you guys are great. thanks again:thumbsup:

Good to hear your problems gone.
I moved fans away from the leaves and gave full amount of bloom nutrients. Looks like I'm good as well. No new damages.
