What do you do to cover up the plant's smell?
Once I grew a couple of AF and they were really small (1 foot tall or 30-35cm ~). Their flowering lasted no longer than 2 months and they started to really smell at night during their last month. Fortunately they were small I guess... Anyway, the smell could have been kind of problematic because of my neighbours but nothing happened.
Now I've got a couple of plants and they are big and will have many many buds so I'm kind of worried about the smell they're going to have (they're supposed to start flowering on february more or less). Plus their flowering period will be longer I suppose (This is the outdoor section so... I'm growing outdoors).
Anyways, the question is what do you do to cover up the smell when growing outdoors? Or at least to reduce it a little?
Some people have told me to have a couple of rue plants or even lavender.
I know they're still not flowering but the other day I put a couple of onion slices on their soil and with the heat everything smelled of onions, maybe something like that could work...

Cedar chips,....
Get some fresh cedar mulch and do a garden bed with it,.... it'll help.

How about hanging from the plant close to the buds any of those gel odor neutralizing (rather than covering up) for the kitchen? Has anyone tried that?

Nope, right now I've got a perfect spot for my girls. They get all the sunlight that's possible and if my neighbour wanted to see them, after he did he'd fall out of his window from the second floor (he'd have to lean too much).
Anyways, obviously anyone who peeked over the wall to see my garden they'd see them. If there's smell then they may get curious and stuff... I'm planning on putting them in my room at night when everything is more calm and people start paying attention to other senses while trying to sleep.

I think that like Canni said the Ceder would help, but maybe you could tell your neighbor a skunk got into your trash and its got rabies. Then tell em you plan to kill it with your gun so ''stay clear'', he wouldn't even think about putting the two together. So tell him if he see's or smells it to call you, because if it bites him he will die, lol. I guess ya need not go that far, but id think he would stay away. And next grow, id plant some shrubs with a nice smell to them, not to mention flowers with a strong smell. Just a thought:thumbsup:
Watch taking them in as if they hit light while they are in their dark period, they could hermy up fast, mine sure did a few years ago:(

Ya rabid skunks be somethin to tackle be fight with a mean pissed of mink while back in one my traps and be givin me his there opinion on be trapped once I be introducin myself as the trap owner he be introducin me to the wild end his body, the one with the teeth. Yea I hear ya ! I am an old "long line" trapper myself . You gotta watch them critters......They seem to get a little testy when caught.

Plant some Rosemary around your grow with cedar chips. When I walk up to my front or back yard all you can smell is Rosemary and cedar. Make sure you ruffle the branches every now and then. Makes the odor of Rosemary more potent. :thumbsup:

Yu be a past trapper then yu be sportin yur fair share scars yurself. Nothin worse then to be catchin the hind end rather then the front. be clampin on there arse end ussualy be fillin them with piss and vinagar attitude. Nothin but fight. Oh well be the way o life!
