First grow
Plant is about almost 2 weeks old...
Pics included.
I know I already posted but that was way too confusing, sorry.
-> The hair/web like things on the plant is cotton not actually webs.
I'v been using neem oil.
Fertilized onces with 20-20-20 but decided not to do it again for at least 4+weeks
The pictures I took yesterday -> the smaller leafs now also have the same problem as the very big leaf but just around the edges right now
The last pictures I saw from you clearly showed a caterpillar on one of your leafs. Did you get rid of that problem? Didn't see a new picture so I am assuming we are still talking about the same leaf damage you showed us before.

I donno whats wrong with your plant but there is definitely something wrong with pics. Where are they?
If you already started a thread about it why do you start the second one for the same problem?

Not sure who said something about a caterpillar but they made my point.. because the caterpillar was in the other pic not the one I want you guys to looks at :S
it looks to me like something is eating those leaves and i think i even see an egg spot on that one leaf to the left. (the round yellow circle thing) Also, it looks like there is a hairy substance under these leaves. I would like to see the underside of the leaves in the first two pictures and I think there we are going to find the key to this mystery.

They look really deformed to me, I know you don't want to hear that and I hate saying it. :( They are so young, I myself would probably start over. Those last pics are so unhealthy, unhappy looking plants so you have to ask yourself with all that stress and their age ... is it worth it to keep going on or start fresh?

Alright thanks, makes sense. That was my first grow attempt ever. I think I might have made the mistake of fertilizing it wayyy to early?(When should I start fertilizing.. around 5+weeks?) And that my lights were not that good ..the swirly CFL's. I got the t5 stick lights now tho :PQuote:

This is pretty good advice if your rooms humidity and ventilation can not be controlled any other way. When you start your new grow be sure to lay off all nutes until they are at least 2 weeks old. If you reeeeallly want to nute the youngsters it should be an extremely weak solution IMHO. In the past, I have used 10%-20% of the recommended dosage effectively on 1 week old plants. As a rule of thumb now I don't touch them with nutes until 14 - 21 days after germination.
As you grow more and watch your plants daily they will tell you what they need or do not need. I know that sounds crazy but it is really true! :greenthumb: Remember you are building knowledge with every grow you attempt. Never give up due to a bad grow or two, because you will get there and once you are there you will be so proud of yourself and will have gained some worthy knowledge that can only be taught through trial and error. (or working in a Coffee House in Amsterdam! lol)

Alsoo... my 'grow room' is a closet that HAS to be hidden from 'some' people in the house so I can't install a fan. I have a mini heater fan and I am going to put a tower fan that has a light breeze in it...
And ideas or tips for 'ventilation'? The closet door I can open once in a while to let air out/in but thats about it i think...
Also can someone direct me to a good/reliable site that has good priced 'tools/etc'. I am looking for a PH tester and maybe ph+/- solutions

looks like over feeding of both water and nutrients. remember tht when your plants are so small they dont need to be watered very often. And if the nutrients you originaly put in havent had time to leach out than they may still be effecting the plants negitively. Dont use the neem oil. Its very easy to clog leaf pores being tht its an oil. Since you have very few leaves, they need to breath. They look over worked as it is. I would suck it up and start over with something thts growing good from birth. However this stuff is very rezeli;)ant??? and your plant will still live. They just need much recovery and proper love

If you have such a problem with not being able to properly ventilate, I don't know what to suggest except saving up for a grow box or something similar with stealth properties that you obviously need at this time. You can find instructions to build your own all over the net for about 80 bucks or less. All indoor/greenhouse plants need three things they need light, nutes and consistant air flow/exchange to remain healthy and mold/fungus/pest free. And even in the most perfect situation you can come upon problems. Most new growers "over love" their plants with watering and nutes and they tend forget about the fresh air exchange.
As far as where to get things in your country you can use google or bing to search it out but some of the people I know from your area just go to a shop and buy the supplies. Never been up your way so I can't advise on where to go. I bet others in this forum would have the answer.

Is leaving the closet door open a few inches okay enough ...(for now) for ventilation?
And I hae two seeds germinating again so hopefully this time around it goes better. I'm only going to water when the soil is very dry and no added nutes until at least 3-4 weeks in or later.
I switched my soil to Miracle Grow now... have not started because seeds are still germinating but thats what I plant to use this time.
Depending on how hot or cold it is in the closet and the humidity level. You really would need a hygrometer to figure that out. Those are cheap like 5-8 dollars for one that will do the trick. (there are more expensive ones but I don't think you should go the expense until you have one or two successful grow under your belt.)Quote:

Yeah I think it's because of the way I had the soil in the pot the first time...
I had 2-3 inches of perlite and then put soil ontop of that without mixing it. I put the seed in that soil in a medium sized pot right away. I saw roots coming out of the top of the soil that was redish brownish (root rot?..or no?) When I went to trash the plant the bottom was still soggy wet even after it had no water for 4 days or so. :S
I'll probably try the miracle grow but won't give extra nutes until minimum 1 1/2 week into flowering?
I just bought a $10 thermometer... I found $10 thermometer/hydrometers(2-in-one) :(

Pearlite traps moisture. If that was your lower layer, I bet you had big problems draining water out of these pots. I would recommend instead a layer of vermiculite at the bottom and then mix the perlite up very well into the soil along with an equal part of vermiculite. The mix I am using is 4 parts soil, 1 part each vermiculite and pearlite.Quote:
