Empty 11x18 room about to be converted into a grow.

Recently inherated a farm and have the property in the middle of nowhere to myself. I have a 11x18 with a room cealing of 8ft that is a old incubater room that has plenty of outlits, shelf, a/c, windows and had a overhead 8 water hose animal drip that is right outside. I am planning on growing in a 8x11 room and have the other half closed off to do any preperations. I was hoping that you could give me any links and infomation that would teach me how to water and have a drainage system, to sugesting actuly plant numbers & lights.

8x12 homemade built room 2 600w and 1 400w lamp. Have done 18 with np and plan on doing 21. Still have room to move around and tend to plants. I am growing with the Ebb&Gro system.:thumbsup:

Black is air
Blue is water
Yellow is light
Green is plants

you might want to have two rows of light in between those three rows instead of having one. You'll probably get better coverage with two rows

Plz keep in mind that this is not to scale. I am an auto mechanic not an artist. There is only 1.5' between plants and buckets are movable so I start out low with buckets all bunched nice and close and as the plants grow the light goes up and buckets spread out. Not to mention 2 rows of lights would be aprox another $1000 which I would rather spend on a moving van :D
Not to mention in one of your own threads your asking "how much light you need for 2 seperate areas". I'll leave it at that.

because you are only 18 years old i would suggest you slow down a little and start smaller.get a 400 or 600 watt HPS, PUT IT ABOVE A 4' X 4' table and find out what your growing style is .there is soil, soilless, hempy buckets,DWC,ebb and flow, NFT, aercponics ,and combos thereof. in any of the systems you can grow trees, bushes,SOG,SCOG, or whatever.you can grow 16 plants in one square foot or you can grow one plant in 16 square foot. my point is that what other people like and what works for them is not necessarily what you would like or would work for you.if i remember correctly TINYTOON has not been growing long [less than ten years] but found his groove early and has excelled at it.his advice is good and his methods worthy of emulation but don't be a clone. find yourself .one more thing to think about--in all 50 states 99 plants or more is a Federal crime---the gov can take your ENTIRE FARM away from you.in some states this can happen with just one plant,find out what the laws are where you live and be careful .

:rambo: Is what I want to do to these little punk growers(Bullyslayer was a bit over the top on his post)...really, must we be so violeant towards those who are asking questions, and obviously they know the risks they are taking? If you are growing hydro, obviously you are okay with breaking bad. You don't just wake up one day and say, " I am going to grow pot hydroponically."
